How to access symbol from different stage

Hi everyone,
I'm really new at Edge, so I still have a lot to learn and I need your help with something..
I want to know how to access a symbol from another stage, here's what I've and what I want to do..
I've the main index page with symbol named "content", in content I load other composition (page). called "page2".
all I want to do is when I click a symbol "XX" inside "page2". The "content" symbol loads other composition called "page3".
I don't know how to access "Content" from "page2", so I could load "page3" .. that's it
I feel like it's simple, but I just couldn't know how to do it, I',m sorry for bothering you for such a question, but I've searched a lot and I got nothing.

but it's still not working, could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I have multiple compositions, where I need to go from one to another.
I use click scripts in an element to do this, using identical pages with different animations on each page.:
Click script:
AdobeEdge.goLoc(url); //url is the URL of an identical new html page with a different animation
Then I have a custom .js page that I use that has the function:
AdobeEdge.goLoc = function(url) {

Hi Ansal
You can bind your context node of view to component controller context node and then you can access the data.
You can do this binding by inserting following statements in create_context_node method of your _ctxt class.
owner->do_context_node_binding( iv_controller_type = cl_bsp_wd_controller=>co_type_component
iv_target_node_name = 'BUILHEADER'
iv_node_2_bind = builheader ).

How to access beans from different folder

hi guys,
currently i have different folders in the webapps folder found in Tomcat 4.1. I was asked to centralised the codes(that is used in all JSP file) so that it will be easier for future maintainence. After realising that I cant use the jsp:include tag, I have plan to use JavaBean so that whenever the jsp page is called it will access the JavaBean to retrieve the arguments. I cannot retrieve the arguments from the URL directly because the JSP files are embedded in a portlet.
So is there any way I can read the JavaBean when my jsp file is in the different folder???
*Each folder in the webapps directory is a seperate context/web application.
Any help is greatly n deeply deeply appreciated.

some tables for shared data across applications (say one user signs
on to one application and his credentials should be carried over when
he accesses the other application via a link in the first). The
implementation is very dependent on what it is that needs to be shared
and other requirements around it (like, if its required to have a timeout
value and so on). I have never done such stuff myself, but know of
projects which do so quite succesfully.

How do you remove a symbol from the stage in Edge animate?

Hello-
I'm wondering how to remove a symbol from the stage in Edge Animate so you can jump to another place in the timeline. In Flash, the symbol was only on the stage for the amount of frames you indicated. Not sure how it works here.
For example, I have 2 buttons on my first screen with some text that animates in. I want the button click to take the user to another section in the timeline or (basically another scene, like in Flash) that contains different content. If I change the visibility the buttons are still there and will ( I assume) create problems when other elements are placed on top.
Or is the only way with code. If that is the case what would that code be?

What I usually do, is, once you have everything set up in the scene you are done with. highlight it all
right click
group elements in DIV
Now all those items act as 1 group and then you give it a properties name, much like a symbol.
THEN you can refer to that scene name and move it anywhere or hide it and slide in another scene that has the content for that next scene.
basically you take all the elements that make up 1 scene, gruop it up, name it, and then in the code for the button say something like:
on click:
scenename.play(framenumber);
that will then animate that scene according to any animation you gave it, such as moving to the left, off stage. while moving scene 2 that you create into the stage.
or just have something like this hide it
sym.$("scenename").hide();
sym.$("scene2name").show();
but if you do that, make sure in your CompositionReady code you hide all scenes EXCEPT the 1st one, so the user doesnt see them all instanatly anyway.

In order to buy from another country's iTunes Music Store, you must have either:

How to remove a dynamic symbol from the stage?

I'm loading dynamically copies of a Library symbol with a button click. Question is, when I move around in the timeline, I don't want to see the symbols at certain points. Can I loop through the json file and remove each symbol from the stage? Or is there a better way of accomplishing this?
Being new to Edge Animate, I'm also unsure as to the names of the symbols as they are placed on the stage. If I use the browser's developer tools, I can see that the divs are named Stage_90, Stage_91, Stage_92 etc. However doing something like the following does not seem to work:

I got it. It should be:
$("#region1").remove();

I actually added that to time 0 on the main timeline so when I got back there it removes the image.
It's not working from the symbol yet but I guess I should eventually get it working from there instead.

Accessing tables from different schema in CDS and AMDP

We are working on a HANA system which has several schema replicated from SAP R/3/Non SAP systems. We have BW 7.4 SP9 deployed on the same system and accessing the HANA views using latest BW virtual objects such as Open ODS , Composite providers etc.
We are also using the BW system for few ABAP based data processing developments. We are currently accessing HANA views in ABAP programs by creating dictionary views based on external HANA views.
We would like to however use recent possibilities of CDS and AMDP for better life cycle management of ABAP based solutions. The open SAP course on this subject was of very good help. Thanks a lot "open SAP team" for that. I would however have few open questions,
As I understand AMDP gives us full flexibility of writing sql procedures within ABAP development environment, but can we access tables from different schema into AMDP code. If yes, then sample code would help.
If the answer of first question is yes, then how do we manage transports between development and production systems where the schema names would be different. Currently in open HANA developments, such transport is manged using Schema mapping.
Can I also use different schema tables in CDS views.
We are updating few tables in ABAP dictionary after applying processing logic in ABAP program as detailed in step 1. With the new approach using AMDP, can we directly update database schema tables which will give us an optimization advantage.
New ABAP HANA program interfaces are quite promising and we would like to use them to optimize many data intensive applications.

1.
Yes you can access tables from a different schema and also HANA views. In this case no 'using' is needed.
Examples:
    RESULT = SELECT
    FROM
          "SAP_ECC"."T441V" AS t,
          "_SYS_BIC"."tmp.package/AFPO" AS a.
    WHERE ...
2. In this case, if you need schema mapping: You could use HANA (projection) views which just forward to a different schema, also see example.

You need Mountain Lion (10.8.2 or higher) and iPhoto '11 (9.4 or higher) or Aperture 3.4 to get shared photo streams on Mac.
Another option to transfer them is to either import them to iPhoto using your usb cable, as explained here:http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083, or to us an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your Mac over your wifi. (PhotoSync will also transfer albums, not just photos from the camera roll.)

Access symbols from external javascript code?

Because the coding support in the Edge editor (e.g. code completion) and the debugging tools are limited (and errors in browser console are useless), I've been moving as much of my code as possible into external javascript files. From external js files, it has worked fine to access things on stage by jquery class selectors. But I would also like to access symbols by instance name. Does anyone know how to do this from an external js file?
I noticed that using the new in version 3.0 way of adding js libraries to the project doesn't work so well for my own js because "Preview in Browser" doesn't re-load my edited code each time. So I'm still using yepnope for my own external js.

Once the composition is loaded store the composition ID.Later you can access the symbols using the regular Animate API's
Like :
AdobeEdge.getComposition(compId).getStage().getSymbol('symbol_name')

the client-side applications are accessing it using above IP.
what I wanna do is, use the time of 123.12.123.1 machine throughout the application, not client local time.

How to access data from node of other view into node of diff view?

 My requirement is that I have account defined in 'CLEAR_HEAD' component , view is 'CLEAR_HEAD/ClearAccountsEF'
context node is 'TARGETVALUE' and attribute is 'ACCOUNT1'. I need to access this account information in the same component but in another view 'CLEAR_HEAD/ClearAddressEL' and the context node is 'DEPLIST' and attribute is 'RADIO1'. I have one custom controller 'CLEAR_HEAD/CuCoHead' already defined in this component. I checked the above 'TARGETVALUE' node but it is not bind to any Custom controller. And I also checked the above pre-defined custom controller 'CLEAR_HEAD/CuCoHead' and the context node in this Custom controller is different from those of the above context nodes and the only one context node defined in this custom controller 'CLEAR_HEAD/CuCoHead' is 'LISTNODE'.
My quesitons are
1. How to bind the above context node(TARGETVALUE) to the custom controller. Can I bind it to the above existing custom controller 'CLEAR_HEAD/CuCoHead' , if so then how can I do since the above custom controller doesn't contain this context node(TARGETVALUE) and it contains only the context node 'LISTNODE'. If I can use the above existing Custom Controller then can I directly do binding by right clicking the context node(TARGETVALUE) -> Create binding. Then what should be the value in Target Contex Node?
2. Do I need to create another custom controller If so then can I directly follow the steps defined in this link '/people/vikash.krishna/blog/2009/12/28/crm-70-how-to--5d-custom-controller-and-binding-of-context-nodes' ? If so then what should be the Model node and Bol Entity name?

Approach 1: 
Bind the context node view1 TARGETVALUE with Component controller. 
and in View2 
data lr_comp_controller type ref to X----component controller 
lr_entity TYPE REF TO cl_crm_bol_entity. 
lr_comp_controller ?= me->comp_controller. 
 
lr_entity ?= lr_comp_controller->typed_context->Y->collection_wrapper->get_current( ). Y---CONTExt node in view1. 
 
Approach 2: 
Declare a static attribute in the View controller of first view. 
Read the attribute D1 value from DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT of first View and pass it to the Static sttribute. 
In your 2nd view u can read this Static Atribute and use it. 
Static Attribute u need to call as follows . Z********IMPL(Implemantation Class)=>ATTR1 
 
Approach 3: 
Creae a custom controller with the same context node used in view 1. 
Bound the custom controller context node to view 1 context node. 
 
Now in view 2, get the custome controller and read data from it. 

 
View1 context node: BTADMINH 

Custom controller: BT115QH_SLSQ/AdminH context node: BTADMINH_CUCO 

In view 1 context class (CTXT class), go to CREATE_BTADMINH method and append the below code to bind both the context nodes,

If you are just reading a attribute value from view1, then approach 2 shud b easy one. 
Approach 1 & 3, more or less the same, except we are using component controller vs custom controller. These approaches holds good when the data required to be accessed/updated from either views. 
 
Coming to your specific scenario, I think there is already a context node available in the compoenent controller TARGETBP, which can have the required data for you. Please look into that.

Hi,
You should be able to achieve this by changing the end point
URL of the channel you are using in the services-config.xml. The
end point URL should point to the server where your CF is deployed.

How to access playlist from pc that died

I can't access the hard drive on my old pc to pull my playlist. My ipod has my playlist, but i don't want to hook it up to my new pc because i fear it will wipe all my songs off my ipod. Best Buy was able to pull all my files off my hard drive, but i can't find any itunes files.
Any ideas how to use my ipod to import my playlist to itunes on my new pc? Is there a way to back up my ipod first to make sure i don't lose all my music?

Copy from iPod to PC
It is important not to allow your iPod to sync with an empty library. If it is set to synchronise automatically you will get a message saying your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to sync – it is important to press cancel as syncing with an empty library erases all music from your iPod.
You can also prevent auto sync by holding down shift & ctrl as you plug in your iPod and keeping the keys held down until the iPod appears in iTunes.
Once you are connected, you need to set your iPod to manage music manually.
