How to add "Add Attachments" button to PDF form in Acrobat?

Hi,
I am using Adobe Acrobat X Standard for creating a PDF form. I want to add an "Add Attachments" button to my form. Is it possible to do it in Acrobat? If so could someone please help me with the javascript? Also, if possible I would like to check the total attachment size and inform the user if it exceeds, say 10MB. The user will be submitting the form via email so I want to cap the attachment size.

Hi All,
Please follow these steps to create tables in adobe interactive forms.
Lets us take this example. We want to display employee information. The following fields are the one that we are going to display:
1. employeenumber
2. First name
3. last name.
First insert a "interactive form UI element" in the view. Create a value node and bind it to the data source of the UI element.
Create a subnode called "Employee".
Create 3 value attributes to display the 3 values.
Open the form designer. Insert a subform. change its type to "flow content"(default is position content) and in the next drop down, choose the value as type "table".
insert one more subform into this subform. change its type to "flow content" and from the dropdown, choose the value as "table row" and in the tab "binding", click the checkbox "min" and have its value as 1.
now drag the elements from the data hierarchy into the second subform.
save the form in the designer.
go to the view implementation and populate the nodes with the value. if this is within a loop, the content of the second subform is repeated giving the user a "table".
I hope the steps are clear.

How do I input data to a pdf form in Acrobat 8.1.6?

There's probably a simple solution for this but I'm wracking my brain trying to figure out how to input data to a pdf form using Acrobat 8.1.6, or how I can make the pdf file data field input ready? Thanks.

If you created the form Go back to Acroabt and go to advanced menu and choose:
Extend Features in Reader. then save.
Now open Reader and you can add information and save. (limit 500 instances per pdf).
Now if you created the form and have Acrobat make sure Acrobat in not in Forms Edit Mode.
Just type in your information and save.
Caution make sure that you finished all corrections and edits. because once you confer reader right you can not edit the form. you can edit the form items you fill in, but not the form itself.
to correct the form design you have to go back to advanced reader rights and save a copy without rights. make changes then confer rights again.

In my code i have a list of attachment map and a pdf document. At run time i want to add this attachment list to pdf document. Please let me know what process or api is available to do so.
I want to render the pdf to client browser with some attachment.

hi, i got the solution
the renderpdf process can be used to add map of the attachments. its not mandatory input parameter nd can be taken along other input parameters.
different apis are also available
like renderpdf, renderformhtmletc.

I'm trying to insert|add image file into opening PDF file with specified location (X|Y) and scale (Width|Hight) but got many of troubles
If use third party like iTextSharp or something else thing become simple but i want to use Acrobat SDK to do this
Any suggestion or idea?

Please take a look at my reply there on Mar. 29, 2007. I am not sure but i assume that you are using Web Dynpro for Java. Attachment capability is available with NW04s SP10 (both runtime and NWDS). Although, SP09 contains the required web dynpro runtime changes but the API has only been made part of SP10. Follow the note numbers provided therein.

How to add attachments to seeded sshr workflow process

Hi all,
i have a requirement to send an offer letter as an attachment after the final approver
clicks on approve button , ideally the requester is supposed to receive a notification of approval and
a pdf offer letter as an attachment.Currently am not using a custom workflow but the seeded HRSSA workflow item type
and the process am using is HR_SIT_JSP_PRC this requirement is urgent any help will be appreciated .

I have tried extending the AdvancedDataGridGroupItemRenderer and using it as the groupItemRenderer but its not reflecting.

Hi,
as far as I know it is not possible, since this adjustment is made for the whole column. I have created a grid and I open the shown document by double clicking the row header. In the grid I can see if it is sales or purchase and so I use a workaround by opening the specific system form (e.g. sales invoice) in find mode and search the document by document number (also shown in the grid).
Sample:
