How to add child node in Tree table programmetically

Jdev Version 11.1.1.4.0.
I have created tree table programmetically in bean.
I have to add child node to tree table component on button click event on page.
Please let me know how to do this in bean.
Regards,
Kiran

How are you creating the tree pro-grammatically?
If you are adding a new node to underlying data structure and refresh the tree - the tree will get updated with the new data.

  • How to open child node in Tree control?

    Hi All,
    I am using arrayCollection in my tree control.
    I want to open one child node based on name of that node.
    How to open that chid node?
    I tried tree.OpenItems and ExpandItem methods. IT is not working. Any idea how to do it?

    write this statement
    TreeObject.expandItem("the branch",true)
    But make sure you dont call this statement right after you set the dataProvider for the tree object. Instead wait for a second or two and then call this statement. This delay is allow the tree object ot call it validate functions.

    how to get each node in tree?
    Since (as far as I know) treeNode is an interface, the real question to me is how are you implementing your treeNodes? Are you overriding the toString() method?

  • How to add program to report tree

    Hi ,
    Can you please let me know how to add report to report tree..( No transaction code ,just only want to add report)
    Thanks,,

    Hello Parnith,
    There is the SE43N transaction (Area menu transaction update). Here you should be able to locate the corresponding area menu and insert your report in the report tree.
    There is also the SERP transaction. This is for old report tree transactions.
    Hope it helps you.

    can anybody let me know how to add a node for proxy runtime?

    Hi,
    connect your SAP application system (like ERP, etc.)
    to SLD - the same one as PI uses (you need to have PIRWBUSER on ERP too)
    then start transaction SPROXY and build and interface on it
    start it and check if you see the new node in message monitoring

    Hi,
    You can use  this method
    DATA  obj_tree1  TYPE REF TO cl_gui_alv_tree.
      CALL METHOD obj_tree1->add_node
        EXPORTING
          i_relat_node_key = p_relat_key
          i_relationship   = cl_gui_column_tree=>relat_last_child

  • How to add a node to already existing hierarchy in BW?

    Hi Gurus,
    Can someone please tell me step by step how to add a node to the hierarchy.
    Thank you,
    Olga

    If I need to add an element to the node, I right click on the node and is it 'insert Characteristic'?
    Sorry I must add one more thing.If it is the first time you add an element to the node then right click the folder(node).But if you already have elements in the node then right click any element and choose add element(country,material whatever).If you choose add a characteristic, then you add another type of element(e.g you have materials in the node and add some countries by choosing add a characteristic)
    When I try to add a node, it gives me a list of nodes I can choose from
    In fact when you right click a folder, there must be an option like "Create nodes".Do you right click on a folder, don't you?You create nodes like that.
    Nevertheless, there is one more way to edit or create a hierarchy.You can load a hierarchy from a flat file.But I am not sure it is worth it.If you have lots of elements and nodes then I propose you to go that way.Step by step document:

  • Row Selection for second and subsequent level nodes in tree table

    Hi All,
    We have a .jsff page with tree bindings to display a three-level hierarchy tree table.Suppose the hierarchy is
    -> Department
    ->-> Employees
    ->->-> Employee details.
    I have a use case where-in when we add the employee node within a department,the department node must expand and the newly added employee node must be selected.
    In both the cases(for new department or employee), we are following the approach mentioned below:
    1. Get the treeTable Iterator.
    2.Adding the new object to the java ArrayList which is bound to the corresponding level in the tree.
    3.Refreshing the treeTable iterator.
    4.Execute treeTable.setSelectedRowKeys()
    5.Add a partial target to the treetable.
    The issue is that the new employee gets added but the upper-level department node collapses and no selection is performed on the new employee node.
    But when we add a new department node, it gets selected on creation.
    Is there any additional steps to be performed for second-level row selection?

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply.
    I looked at the code given in sample 61.
    In the sample, a new node is not added dynamically (for ex.either new location or its child nodes.)
    As mentioned in the above post, after adding a new node at a level in our use case, when we perform the refresh of the tree-table's iterator,the selection state of the rows is not shown on the table.
    If the tree-table's iterator is not refreshed and the treeTable.setSelectedRowKeys() is executed, the rows get selected but the subsequent node additions do not show up in the table as the table's iterator is not refreshed.
    Any sample code is available where in both the addition of new node and its selection is performed at the same time?
    Thanks.

  • Need to display only leaf and not the node using tree table

    Hi,
    Am using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.0.0 . As per requirement , am having Department - Employee View wherein Department is the parent considered as node and Employee as a child which is considered as a leaf. Having dragged and dropped the DepartmentView as a tree table -> shuttle department id and department name to be displayed -> added EmployeeView to the same and shuttled employee id along with the first and last name. so this works as it has to be in the below structure...
    10 ADF
    256 A
    257 B
    258 C
    20 JAVA
    259 D
    260 E
    Code for the same ..
    <af:treeTable value="#{bindings.DepartmentsView.treeModel}" var="node"
    selectionListener="#{bindings.DepartmentsView.treeModel.makeCurrent}" rowSelection="single" id="tt1">
    <f:facet name="nodeStamp">
    <af:column id="c1">
    <af:outputText value="#{node}" id="ot1"/>
    </af:column>
    </f:facet>
    <f:facet name="pathStamp">
    <af:outputText value="#{node}" id="ot2"/>
    </f:facet>
    </af:treeTable>
    *Here comes my requirement , need to display only the leaf nodes which has employee name [Employees] and need to hide the node [Department] in the below structure....*
    256 A
    257 B
    258 C
    259 D
    260 E
    Things tried to achieve the requirement....
    1. Got only the EmployeeName in the nodeStamp facet as below. Hence am getting only Employee name but the issue is am getting the icon for the node [Parent - Department]. Now how do i hide the same.
    <af:treeTable value="#{bindings.DepartmentsView.treeModel}" var="node"
    selectionListener="#{bindings.DepartmentsView.treeModel.makeCurrent}" rowSelection="single" id="tt1">
    <f:facet name="nodeStamp">
    <af:column id="c1">
    <af:outputText *value="#{node.FirstName}"* id="ot1"/>
    </af:column>
    </f:facet>
    <f:facet name="pathStamp">
    <af:outputText value="#{node}" id="ot2"/>
    </f:facet>
    </af:treeTable>
    Please do suggest some solution....
    Thanks and Regards,
    Vinitha G

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply. As the project has already implemented tree table they do not wanna change any logic written for the same. So they wanted to just display only the leaf node data using treetable component. Can you please suggest.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • How to add two nodes in a Hierarchy

    Hi Experts,
                    I have 0ACCOUNT hierarchy using for P&L report. I developed this hierarchy to get the values of Revenue and Expenses (nodes).  Once I get this values I want the difference of this two to get the Income Statement. I have Revenue and Expense in 3 rd level and Income statement node is in 2nd level.
                   My report looks like as follows
                   Month 1        Month 2    Variance    Variance %
    Revenue      1000            1200           XXX           XXX %
    Expense       800              950           XXX           XXX%
    Inc Stmt       200            250             XXX           XXXX    ( How can do this calculation)
                   Please some tell me how to calculate the difference of Revenue and Expense using hierarchy nodes.
    Thanks
    Ganesh Reddy.

    Hi,
             My problem is fixed, they are calcualted if you have a child nodes. How means Revenue is positive and Expenses are negative. So we get difference of this two.
    Thanks
    Ganesh Reddy.

  • How to highlight a row in tree table - jdev 11.1.2

    Hello:
    Given a key, I want to highlight (select/set currency) the corresponding row in a tree table. I thought the following code would highlight the row in the tree table that corresponds to the key, but nothing is highlighted in the tree table. ie---> treeTable.setSelectedRowKeys(selectedRowKeys); What am I doing wrong? Thanks much.
    public String cb1_action() {
    BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
    OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("Next");
    Object result = operationBinding.execute();
    if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
    return null;
    DCBindingContainer bc = (DCBindingContainer) getBindings();
    DCIteratorBinding iter = (DCIteratorBinding) bc.findIteratorBinding("DDF1Iterator");
    RowKeySet selectedRowKeys = new RowKeySetImpl();
    ArrayList list = new ArrayList();
    Row r = iter.getCurrentRow();
    Key k = r.getKey();
    list.add(k);
    selectedRowKeys.add(list);
    treeTable.setSelectedRowKeys(selectedRowKeys);
    AdfFacesContext adfc = AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    adfc.addPartialTarget(treeTable);
    }

    Hello:
    Do you mean setting the selectedRowKeys in the setter method of the treeTable in the Request Scoped Managed Bean?
    If that is what you mean, I tried that and there was no change in behavior. (Still does not highlight the correct row in the tree table upon execution of the next method for the bindings) Does anyone have any sample code they can provide that works?
    Thanks for the help.

  • How to insert a row in Tree table which is dragged from the table?

    Hi All,
    I am having a Tree table and a Table in the same page, like below
    Treetable                                         Table
    Item1                                              Subitem12
         Subitem1                                   Subitem13
         Subitem2                                   Subitem14
         Subitem3                                   Subitem15
         Subitem4                                   Subitem16
    Item2                                              Subitem17
         Subitem5                                   Subitem18
         Subitem6                                   Subitem19
         Subitem7                                   Subitem20
         Subitem8                                   Subitem21
    Item3
         Subitem9
         Subitem10
         Subitem11
    The requirement is i need to "drag" a row from the Table and place it under any parent node in the Tree table.
    What i have done is I make the Tree table as ".ui-sortable" and table as a "draggable".
    I am not able to find the position of the dragged item when i dropped it in the Treetable.
    Please provide me a solution.

    If that is what you mean, I tried that and there was no change in behavior. (Still does not highlight the correct row in the tree table upon execution of the next method for the bindings) Does anyone have any sample code they can provide that works?
    Thanks for the help.

  • How to add new row to adf table progrmatically

    Hi,
    I have a bean with a list and correspoding getter & setter methods inside it.
    I created a datacontrol out of the bean and I am displaying af:table in the ui
    binded to this list.
    Ex:
    public class StudentBean {
    private List<Student> students;
    // getter & setter methods.
    jsp
    <af:table value="#{bindings.students.collectionModel}" var="row"
    rows="#{bindings.students.rangeSize}"
    emptyText="#{bindings.students.viewable ? 'No data to display.' : 'Access Denied.'}"
    fetchSize="#{bindings.students.rangeSize}"
    rowBandingInterval="0"/>
    How to add a new row programitically to this adf table.
    I dragged and dropped 'Create' from operations menu on to jsp.
    But on click of that.no new row is being added to the current table.
    On click of a button in u.i I want to add a new row to the table.
    Thanks,
    Praveen

    Hi,
    The source code is as below.
    <af:table value="#{bindings.students.collectionModel}" var="row"
    rows="#{bindings.students.rangeSize}"
    emptyText="#{bindings.students.viewable ? 'No data to display.' : 'Access Denied.'}"
    fetchSize="#{bindings.students.rangeSize}"
    rowBandingInterval="0"
    filterModel="#{bindings.rscGroupsQuery.queryDescriptor}"
    queryListener="#{bindings.rscGroupsQuery.processQuery}"
    filterVisible="true" varStatus="vs"
    selectedRowKeys="#{bindings.rscGroups.collectionModel.selectedRow}"
    selectionListener="#{bindings.rscGroups.collectionModel.makeCurrent}"
    rowSelection="single" id="t1"/>
    <af:commandButton actionListener="#{bindings.Create.execute}"
    text="Create" disabled="#{!bindings.Create.enabled}"
    id="cb1" partialTriggers="t1"/>
    Please let me know where am I doing wrong?
    On click of this button,it is not adding a row dynamically.
    Thanks,
    Praveen
