  • How to remove element namespaces in XML file using DOM or SAX?

    Hi Guys,
    I developed a JAVA mapping in XI to add name spaces for XML file, after mapping,name spaces xmlns="http://www.mro.com/mx/integration" and xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" were added correctly, but for some nodes, such as <Header> and <Content>, a name space xmlns="" was added automatically.Please check below files to compare.
    It looks like be added automatically by XI. I didn't process anything for these nodes in JAVA program.
    Now the issue is, how can I remove these redundant namespaces? Such as xmlns="".
    Can I remove them using DOM or SAX in JAVA Mapping?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Milan,
    Thanks for your replay.
    Actually when I used module XMLAnonymizerBean to convert namespaces, the header of XML, such as <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> was converted to format <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>, quote was converted to single quote. Although I set parameter anonymizer.quote = ", it still didn't work, single quote appeared instead of quote.
    I'm not sure why this happened. Can anyone help to clarify this?
    Thanks

  • How to add exactly 2 NON XML caracters at the end of a SOAP body

    Hello all I am trying to add two (and only two) extra non xml caracters "AA" at the END of a SOAP body using the JAXWS handlers as so:
    HTTP/1.1 200 OK
    Content-Type: text/xml;charset=UTF-8
    Content-Length: 131
    Content-Length: 131
    Server: Jetty(7.x.y-SNAPSHOT)
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><SOAP-ENV:Body></SOAP-ENV:Body></SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    AA
    The problem is that if you try to add them to the SOAP body (see code below) you get a XML Unmarshalling exception. If I add "AA" as a soap attachment I get MORE than 2 caracters after the SOAP body (which I don't want)
    Here is the my SOAPHandler code :
    @Override
    public boolean handleMessage(SOAPMessageContext mc) {
    if (Boolean.TRUE.equals(mc.get(MessageContext.MESSAGE_OUTBOUND_PROPERTY))) {
    try {
    SOAPMessage message = context.getMessage()
    String stringSoapMessage= getMsgAsString(message);
    stringSoapMessage += "ss";
    message.getSOAPPart().setContent((Source) new StreamSource(new ByteArrayInputStream(msg.getBytes())));
    message.saveChanges();
    context.setMessage(message);
    } catch (Exception e1) {
    return true;
    public String getMsgAsString(SOAPMessage message) throws SOAPException {
    String msg = null;
    try {
    ByteArrayOutputStream baos = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
    message.writeTo(baos);
    msg = baos.toString();
    } catch (Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    return msg;
    so my question is this: is there any way to add exactly 2 non xml caracters at the end of the soap body using jaxws handlers ? I have spent several weeks on this so it is not an easy question...
    Thanks,
    Fred.

    Yes I have done it using CFX interceptors. But the runtime dependencies needed were too big for this particular use. I mean having to use these:
    apache/cxf/cxf-bundle/2.6.0/cxf-bundle-2.6.0.jar
    org/apache/neethi/neethi/3.0.2/neethi-3.0.2.jar

    org/apache/ws/xmlschema/xmlschema-core/2.0.2/xmlschema-core-2.0.2.jar
    org/mortbay/jetty/jetty-util/6.0.2/jetty-util-6.0.2.jar

    org/eclipse/jetty/jetty-http/7.5.4.v20111024/jetty-http-7.5.4.v20111024.jar
    org/eclipse/jetty/jetty-server/7.5.4.v20111024/jetty-server-7.5.4.v20111024.jar
    org/eclipse/jetty/jetty-io/7.5.4.v20111024/jetty-io-7.5.4.v20111024.jar

    to add two caracters at the end of a soap message seems like over kill. If this is the only way to do this then i'll do it this way but it just seems like the implementation of the JAXWS API in JDK 6 seems inches away from being able to do this no ?
    Thanks for the replies,

  • How to add all namespaces in root node of xquery transformation result?

    Hi,
    I'm using xquery Transformation in oracle service bus to transfrom output. The schema used for output transfromation has elements being imported from several schemas. so that output xml has these long tags with namespaces of repective schemas e.g.
    <rr:Get360ViewOfProductResponse      xmlns:rr="http://canaldigital.com/schema/product/CPMProductInformation/v2.0/">
    <ResponseHeader>
    <com:ResponseCode xmlns:com="http://broadcast.telenor.com/tsi/common/commonparameters_v1" >0</com:ResponseCode>
    <com:ResponseText xmlns:com="http://broadcast.telenor.com/tsi/common/commonparameters_v1" >0</com:ResponseText>
    </ResponseHeader>
    </rr:Get360ViewOfProductResponse>
    what I want to achieve is that all namespaces come once in the rootNode and all childnodes just use the repective prefixes, so that the xml size doesnt grow too large.Like below.
    <rr:Get360ViewOfProductResponse      xmlns:com="http://broadcast.telenor.com/tsi/common/commonparameters_v1" xmlns:rr="http://canaldigital.com/schema/product/CPMProductInformation/v2.0/" xmlns:pr="http://broadcast.telenor.com/tsi/common/program_v1">
    <ResponseHeader>
    <com:ResponseCode>0</com:ResponseCode>
    <com:ResponseText>0</com:ResponseText>
    </ResponseHeader>
    </rr:Get360ViewOfProductResponse>
    the difference is that ResponseCode and responseText should only use their prefix, and not complete namespace. How can i acheive this.
    Thanks in advance.

    I have an application where the XML-Schema has to be read from somewhere else if the XML file does not have a reference to a Schema.
    Usually, my XML-file starts with:
    <ODM xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.cdisc.org/ns/odm/v1.2 ODM1-2-0.xsd" xmlns="http://www.cdisc.org/ns/odm/v1.2" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" ...>
    Remark the extra namespace for xsi.
    I am using the following code:
    parser.setFeature("http://xml.org/sax/features/validation",true); // validation
    parser.setFeature("http://apache.org/xml/features/validation/schema",true); // against Schema
    parser.setProperty("http://apache.org/xml/properties/schema/external-schemaLocation", "http://www.cdisc.org/ns/odm/v1.2 file://C:/CDISC_ODM_Checker_testfiles/ODM1.2/ODM1-2-0.xsd");
    etc...
    Although I am sure that the file location is correct, I get the following error when parsing:
    org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: cvc-elt.1: Cannot find the declaration of element 'ODM'.
    My Schemafile looks like:
    <xs:schema targetNamespace="http://www.cdisc.org/ns/odm/v1.2" xmlns:ds="http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig#" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns="http://www.cdisc.org/ns/odm/v1.2" elementFormDefault="qualified" attributeFormDefault="unqualified">
         <xs:import namespace="http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace" schemaLocation="http://www.w3.org/2001/03/xml.xsd"/>
         <xs:import namespace="http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig#" schemaLocation="http://www.w3.org/TR/xmldsig-core/xmldsig-core-schema.xsd"/>
    I am wondering what is wrong.
    Does it have to do with the usual xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" that I usually have in the XML file ? Should I also tell the parser about xsi ?
    Or is there anything very obvious I oversee ?
    Parser is Xerces-2-5-0, Operating System is Windows 2000.
    Any help is welcome

    Hi,
    Many thanks for all the suggestions !
    The problem remains that I am only allowed to make changes in the Java code, not in the XML-Schema or in the incoming XML file.
    To be more specific, the file can come in in 2 separate ways. The first way is :
    <ODM xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.cdisc.org/ns/odm/v1.2 ODM1-2-0.xsd" xmlns="http://www.cdisc.org/ns/odm/v1.2" xmlns="http://www.cdisc.org/ns/odm/v1.2" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" Description="CDISC ODM version 1.2.2 format" FileType="Transactional" Granularity="All" FileOID="987-654-321" CreationDateTime="2002-04-29T11:07:23-05:00"> ... </ODM>
    No problem to parse this when the odm1-2-0.xsd is in the same directory.
    However, in some cases, the file can come in as:
    <ODM Description="CDISC ODM version 1.2.2 format" FileType="Transactional" Granularity="All" FileOID="987-654-321" CreationDateTime="2002-04-29T11:07:23-05:00">
    So, no references to schema location nor namespaces.
    In the latter case, I need to assign an external schema file (which can be in another directory as the xml file) and tell the SAXParser about the namespaces. It's the second thing that I do not know how to do.
    I do not want to edit the incoming xml file if possible, but just tell the parser about the namespaces.
    Many thanks in advance

  • How to declare the namespace of XML document to use in oracle DB?

    I have an XML Schema file( 'Hospital.xsd' ) that reference the XML document ('Hospitals.xml' ).
    That I use JDeveloper to build them up.
    JDeveloper had set the default namespace as 'http://www.example.org'
    like this :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <Hospitals xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.example.org src/Hospital.xsd"
    xmlns="http://www.example.org">
    If I want these two files ('Hospital.xsd' and 'Hospitals.xml') placed into
    the table in the oracle database.
    1. Should I create two tables? one for XSD and another for XML.
    2. Should I keep the XSD file in the oracle database?
    3. What is the namespace to declare in the heading of XML file?
    The database name or my website URL?
    Thank you very much.
    Kanokporn P.

    Sounds a lot like this question, only with less details.
    how to read data from XML  variable and insert into table variable
    We can only help if you provide us details to help as we cannot see what you are doing and only know what you tell us.  Plenty of examples abound on the forums that cover the topics you seek as well.

  • How to add doctype when generating XML from an arbitrary data structure

    I was reading SUN's tutorial "Working with XML - PART IV: Using XSLT". Inside this tutorial, in 3, it talks about how to generate XML from an arbitrary data structure making use of a XMLReader and a Transformer. The example only shows adding elements. Is there a way to add DTD information in the XML generated, i.e. <!DOCTYPE ... >? What APIs can I use?
    Thanks,
    Alex

    The simplest way seems to me is to use a XSL file for that. The <xsl:output> attributes doctype-system and doctype-public generate the DTD declaration <!DOCTYPE YOUR_ROOT SYSTEM "yourDTDfile.dtd"> and <!DOCTYPE YOUR_ROOT PUBLIC "yourDTDfile.dtd">, respectively.
    When calling transformerInstance.transform() the XSLT processor performs the identity transformation - it just copies elements, attributes, content, processing instructions and comments to the result stream.
    If you're using an xsl file for your transformation already, simply add <xsl:output doctype-system="yourDTDfile.dtd"/> to your existing XSL file.
    If you're only using the identity transformation you'd need to change the line of code where you obtain the transformer instance from the TransformerFactory to:
    t_factory.newTransformer(new StreamSource("test.xsl"));
    and use this as test.xsl:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
       <xsl:output doctype-system="yourDTDfile.dtd"/>
       <!-- this is the identity transformation -->
       <xsl:template match="*|@*|comment()|processing-instruction()|text()">
          <xsl:copy>
             <xsl:apply-templates select="*|@*|comment()|processing-instruction()|text()"/>
          </xsl:copy>
       </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>Good luck.

  • How to add extra fields in xml for BI report

    Hi ,
    I am trying to create a po print report .
    I took oracle standard po print program , Cloned it with output as xml and based on that i am creating the layout for my po print report using xml publisher word doc tool . Now In the oracle po print rdf there is no field like requestor email,phone numbers. I want these two fields on my po print .How can i get those fields .If i see requestor portion in xml its as below
    <LIST_G_ONE_REQUESTOR>
    <G_ONE_REQUESTOR>
    <ONE_REQUESTOR_NAME>FRANK, SCOTT</ONE_REQUESTOR_NAME>
              </G_ONE_REQUESTOR>
    </LIST_G_ONE_REQUESTOR>
    but I want some thing like
    <LIST_G_ONE_REQUESTOR>
    <G_ONE_REQUESTOR>
    <ONE_REQUESTOR_NAME>FRANK, SCOTT</ONE_REQUESTOR_NAME>
                   <ONE_REQUESTOR_PHONE>select 123456</ONE_REQUESTOR_PHONE>
                   <ONE_REQUESTOR_FAX>111111111</ONE_REQUESTOR_FAX>
                   <ONE_REQUESTOR_EMAIL>[email protected]</ONE_REQUESTOR_EMAIL>
    </G_ONE_REQUESTOR>
    </LIST_G_ONE_REQUESTOR>
    How can I achieve this ...should I make a change in standard RDF for this or is there a way we can pull these details in xml itself ??
    Please help .
    Regards,
    Chandra

    I was just think on the same line if we can manage to fetch additional fields like phone number, email address of the requestor by writing a pl/sql in xml itself .But i see that atleast the requestor name should be passed into that query in case there is a way to do it .
    Hopefully the change to rdf is the option .
    Thanks Srini for prompt response.
