How to add PSP (PL/SQL Server Page) application to an Oracle Apps 11i menu

How can I add a small application (drilldown search) I developed using psp (pl/sql server page) into a menu inside Oracle Apps 11i?

Here's how I do it:
1. Create the function.
In the Function Type use one of the PLSQL options, for example WWK which is a popup PL/SQL function.
In the web_html_call, simply add the package.procedure
2. Setup Security
In order to be able to call a PL/SQL procedure from a web page, you need to add it to web enabled PL/SQL
Do this in System Administrator, under "Security / Web Enabled PL/SQL " or similar (can't remember offhand)
3. Make the call
You should then be able to call it using
http://server:port/pls/DBSID/package.procedure
Obviously substiture DBSID for you database SID.
Should work, done it loads..

I am new to ODI. I am trying to load sample data from MS SQL Server 2005 and Flatfile to Oracle 10g.
1. I have created three models.
1-1. SQL2005 (SRC_CUSTOMER table)
1-2. Flatfile (SRC_AGE_GROUP.txt & SRC_SALES_PERSON.txt)
1-3. Oracle 10g (TRG_CUSTOMER table)
You may know I got those environments from the ODI DEMO environment.
2. I could able to reverse the tables also.
3. I have created an interface which contains source table (from MSSQL 2005), Flatfile and target table from ORACLE model.
4. I have imported the knowledge modules. But I am confusing in selecting the knowledge modules to source and target tables.
I've selected LKM File to SQL for flatfile model.
I've also selected LKM SQL to SQL for MSSQL 2005 model and IKM Oracle Incremental Update for the target table (ORACLE).
I've also implemented the interface that I created. It worked without errors. But there is no data in target table which is TRG_CUSTOMER.
I really would like to know what happened and what the problems are.

if it is
(SRC_CUSTOMER.AGE=SRC_AGE_GROUP.AGE_MIN) AND SRC_CUSTOMER.AGE=SRC_AGE_GROUP.AGE_MAX
give it as
(SRC_CUSTOMER.AGE>SRC_AGE_GROUP.AGE_MIN) AND SRC_CUSTOMER.AGE<SRC_AGE_GROUP.AGE_MAX

How to add a new fiels to to a customized standard Oracle apps forms

I have the following requirement to modifiy the PO Receiving screen in Oracle apps 11i,
1. An additional field (No. of Items to recive) need to be created to the “PO Receiving” screen of Oracle apps 11i .
2. Once user mentioned the po num, PO Line Num and quantity in the newly created text field and when he/she click on the Find Button , the receipt lines (lines should be as many as the quantity mentioned in the newly created field) should be create in the receipt screen
Please let me know if this can be achived through Form Personalization or is there any other approach?

Why do you want to customize (and break support for the PO Receiving Form) instead of extend the form with Descriptive Flex-Fields (DFF) as I suggested when I responded to your earlier question regarding this same subject: How to create a text field in Oracle apps11i Forms.?
Also, as Francois, Andreas and I have pointed out - the general Forms forum is not the proper place to ask EBS related questions. Yes, there are people in this Forum that have or are currently working with the EBS, but that is not the purpose of this forum. Please post your question in the General EBS Discussion forum. If you have a general Forms question, by all means, ask it here! ;-) Customizing or using a DFF is not a "general Forms question" so please use the appropriate forum! :-)

To install a certificate in the Windows certificate store of the server computer, you will need to purchase/provision a certificate from a certificate authority first. So please go to a certificate authority to choose the appropriate certificate.
For SQL Server to load a SSL certificate, the certificate must meet the following conditions:
The certificate must be in either the local computer certificate store or the current user certificate store.
The current system time must be after the Valid from property of the certificate and before the Valid to property of the certificate.
The certificate must be meant for server authentication. This requires the Enhanced Key Usage property of the certificate to specify Server Authentication (1.3.6.1.5.5.7.3.1).
The certificate must be created by using the KeySpec option of AT_KEYEXCHANGE. Usually, the certificate's key usage property (KEY_USAGE) will also include key encipherment (CERT_KEY_ENCIPHERMENT_KEY_USAGE).
The Subject property of the certificate must indicate that the common name (CN) is the same as the host name or fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the server computer. If SQL Server is running on a failover cluster, the common name must match the host
name or FQDN of the virtual server and the certificates must be provisioned on all nodes in the failover cluster.
Question 3: how should i know that the connection in sql server is secured?
If the certificate is configured to be used, and the value of the ForceEncryption option is set to Yes, all data transmitted across a network between SQL Server and the client application will be encrypted using the certificate. For more detail about this,

By the way I find a extension.vsixmanifest file and some .pkgdef files under
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Tools\Binn\ManagementStudio\Extensions\ folder, and they are very similar with VSPackage files. Do know this is useful or not.

After some research, There are some notes. SQL Server Management Studio is built upon the Visual Studio Isolated Shell, which inherently supports extensibility (add-ins/plug-ins). It is possible to tap into the Visual Studio extensibility services to surface
custom capabilities within SQL Server Management Studio; however, we do not discourage this, keep in mind that such extensibility is not supported, so there may be issues with backward/forward compatibility. Microsoft does not publish documentation for extending
SQL Server Management Studio.
If you want to debug VSPackeage about SSMS, I recommend you debug in Visual Studio and not in SSMS, open the project and attach to the process of SSMS.exe, then debug it.
About the issue of finding the “RootKey”, a .pkgdef file is way to encapsulate application configuration information in an easily editable, distributable, and deployable form. And it registers the Extension Manager (which is written as a VS Package). If
you install SQL Server 2012, the .pkgdef of SSMS is located in the following path, you can check the “RootKey” in this .pkgdef file.

Does anybody have any idea about how to connect to a sql server from oracle database using db link to syncronize the data? I need to pull the data from Sql server table to Oracle tables and relay messages back to the sql server.

we have 2 products - DG4MSQL and DG4ODBC.
DG4ODBC is for free and requires a 3rd party ODBC driver and it can connect to any 3rd party database as long as you use a suitable ODBC driver
DG4MSQL is more powerfull as it is designed for MS SQL Server databases and it supports many functions it can directly map to SQL Server equivalents - it can also call remote procedures or participtae in distributed transactions. Please be aware DG4MSQL requires a license - it is not for free.

How to add an internal link on pages 5.0.1?

Could anyone please tell me how to add an internal link on pages 5.0.1.
I am making FAQ list, and I would like to make the first page of the document as a list of questions and when a user click on each question, it jumps to the answer (in the same document).
I found "Add link" tool but it allows you to jump URL or email only.
I was able to set the list of questions as an index page of "Table of contents" tool and jump to a question page by clicking each page number, however, it fails when I put a question in a table (I would like to place each question and answer in tables for a visual purpose).
It seems a jump by using "Table of contents" become invalid when the contents are placed in a chart. WHy?
Are there any way to solve this problem?
any advise will be appreciated.

You may have Pages '09 still in your Applications/iWork folder.
The T.O.C. does not index text inside objects which includes Tables.

How to Encrypt Column in SQL Server?

I am using ColdFusion MX 7 and Microsoft SQL Server 2000
database. I have a column that contains social security numbers of
my users and am feeling the need to encrypt that column.
Trouble is, I have no clue how to do this in SQL Server or
how I could display the data from that column in my web app once

Let's say the SQL Server and Oracle Database are in the same Company Internet Network.
I have the code, but I do not know how to use it. Such as what is System DSN Name? Where could I get it. What does it look like?
Do I need to install any Oracle Client Software in order to link from SQL Server to Oracle? Or SQL Server has the built-in drivers installed already that I can directly create a Linked Server from SQL Server to Oracle?

You need an OLE DB provider for Oracle. There is one that ships with Windows, but it only supports very old versions of Oracle. Oracle has an OLE DB provider that you can use. I don't know if it's part of Oracle Client or how it is bundled.
You should not use MSDASQL or any DSN.

There are restrictions for normal Logins but a administrator in SQL server can always detach,script and delete your database.
