How to add weblogic portal related plugins to my IDE

Hi friends,
I am new to weblogic portal 10.3,How to add wlp 10.3. related functionality to my Eclipse IDE .Can you please provide the suitable plugins to work with wlportal 10.3.
thanks,
krishna kolla.

Hi Pramod,
You can try this workaround for this:
Create a DC of type ext library (If already done, then put a Build Time Dependency. Also add all the Jar Files to a Assembly and Complation Public part)
Create a J2EE Application project and define the dependency on the Ext Lib project *Assembly
An ear gets generated that you can deploy on your server.
You need to define a Runtime dependency to this J2EE project in your project where you want to use the jar files.
This way you can proceed with the development and later on chage the reference when you get the proper method to do so.
Hope this helps!!
Cheers,
Arafat

  • How to add dll file in plugin

    Hi everybody,
I have a short question concerning the plug-in.
    I created a plug-in  using visual studio 2005 for Adobe effect cs4
but i want to add dll on that plugin so,how to add dll in that plugin
    please help me!!!!
    Thanks

Any other dependencies apart from C/C++ runtime, for example cuda
runtime which you cannot link against statically - you have to copy it
into After Effect support files, where the executable lives (or in
windows library directory, but that i would rather not do)!
Am 19.06.2011 16:15, schrieb shachar carmi:
to include external dependencies in the plug-in, go to:
    Project Properties -->  C/C++ -->  Code Generation
and change the "Runtime Library" to "/MT"
this should make the compiler include the needed code from other DLLs in your code.

  • How to install Weblogic Portal 10.3.0

    Dear All,
I need to install Weblogic Portal 10.3.0 in two flavaors. 1) Single instance 2)In a cluster.
I'm relative new to Weblogic Portal. The platform is solaris 10 64 bit. Can anyone provide a step-by-step installation sequence?
I read the installation guide but it says nothing about how the installation would work. This is what I have done till now:
    1. Installed the WLP 10.3.0 with Weblogic Server, Weblogic Portal and Workshop components.
    2. After installation, ran config.sh command and configured Admin server and one managed server (to support portal).
But after my domain is created and I start my managed server, I see nothing in the deployments page. There are no errors either in the log files.
IS there a step I'm missing? Do we need to manually deploy portal application? if yes, how?
Any help would be truly appreciated.

    Hi RB!
Sounds like you just starting off fresh with WLP. This may or may not help. I suggest learning some of the basics of creating a Portal.Ear file and deploying it to other environments.

    Using WebLogic Portal
If you are new to WebLogic Portal, a short tutorial is provided to help you get started. See Tutorials – Getting Started with WebLogic Portal for more information. The tutorials discuss setting up a portal development environment, creating a portal, and assembling a desktop in your staging environment.
Tip:      If you are unfamiliar with the Eclipse development environment on which Workshop for WebLogic is based, the tutorial “Getting Started with Workshop for WebLogic” located in the Oracle Workshop for WebLogic User’s Guide, is highly recommended; the tutorial shows you how to start Workshop for WebLogic and navigate the workbench user interface, introduces terminology associated with the workbench, and shows you how to create a simple web application.
The WebLogic Portal Overview provides a starting point for understanding and developing applications with WebLogic Portal. This chapter introduces portal concepts, describes the WebLogic Portal infrastructure framework and business services, and describes the portal life cycle, from architecture through development, staging, and production. The remaining chapters in this guide describe each phase of the life cycle in detail and provide a starting point for using WebLogic Portal.

I'm using out of box Issue Tracking List. In Related Issue I want to add some data like :- Business, Technical, HR, Contractor etc in right side so user can select one of them add it. Not sure how to add these data in Related Issue column. Please advice.

Related Issues is a lookup column to the same list which is Issue Tracking List. so you can add new items where title is Business, Technical, HR, Contractor etc then you will get those under related issues.

  • How to execute WebLogic security related commnads?

    Hello All
I am just learning Oracle WebLogic and humbly request you for all your help. I installed Oracle WebLogic Server 11g Release 1 (10.3.3) on my Windows XP desktop. I could able create and cluster manage servers, configure WebLogic plug-in to Sun Java Web Server (I installed that on my Windows XP desktop) etc. Now I am reading the documentation about security and wants to run some of the commands as shown below
    1) weblogic.security.SSL.protocolVersion (Command-line argument lets you specify which protocol is used for SSL connections)
    2) Dweblogic.security.SSL.enableJSSE=true|false (System property to enable and disable JSSE SSL)
I am not sure how to execute this commands. As I cannot execute these commands from the AdminServer console, the only way left is C:\ prompt on my desktop. So I figured out the security directory under C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\Domain1\security on my desktop and tried to execute the commands unsuccessfully from C:\
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\Domain1\security>weblogic.security.SSL.protocolVersion
'weblogic.security.SSL.protocolVersion' is not recognized as an internal or exte
    rnal command,
    operable program or batch file.
Where I can execute these commands and your help is very much appreciatecd?
    Thanks

    Hi,
"weblogic.security.SSL.protocolVersion" is only a System property Not a Executable command. This flag is just to tell the JVM to use which version of SSL implementation. This is a System Property which is needs to be enabled in the JAVA_OPTION part of your JVM/Server startScript.
Like if you are starting WebLogic server then U must apply this System property in the server start Scipt JAVA_OPTION variable:
Edit Apply the "startWebLogic.sh" and then add the following like below:
    <font color=maroon> *export JAVA_OPTION="${JAVA_OPTIONS} -Xmx1024m -Xms1024m -Dweblogic.security.SSL.protocolVersion=SSL3"* </font>
Below are the meaning of this flag values.
-Dweblogic.security.SSL.protocolVersion=SSL3—Only SSL V3.0 messages are sent and accepted.
-Dweblogic.security.SSL.protocolVersion=TLS1—Only TLS V1.0 messages are sent and accepted.
    -Dweblogic.security.SSL.protocolVersion=ALL—This is the default behavior.
Or Suppose if you want to run some standalone Java Program which Uses SSL and if you want to tell the JVM to use SSL3 implementation then you can do something like this:
    *java <font color=red>-Dweblogic.security.SSL.protocolVersion=SSL3</font> HelloWorld*

  • How to call Weblogic Portal 8.1 Datasync programmatically ?

    Hi,
    I've a cluster domain with a adminServer and cluster1(managed1 and managed2).
The web application datasync works fine on the adminServer, bootstraping and merging from a jar file and propagating the updated data items to the managedServers.
But I need to call the data items syncronization for a jar file programmatically. Is that possible ?
How can I do this as the propagation mechanism is taken care of by DataSyncServlet ? Do I really have to use the web message protocol mechanism ? What's the message sequence ?
    What I've tried:
I've created a WLI bpm application that connects to the adminServer and does the same servlet work of __bootstrap_dr.class. (As far as I can see decompiling the class). The bootstrap and refresh on the adminServer occurs perfectly, but the propagation to the managed servers doesn't happen.

  • How do I install or enable plugins? I can't find this anywhere in your support pages!

Your support pages explain how to detect and uninstall plugins, but I can't find how to add or enable new plugins. I want to add Flash Player 10 as a plugin - is this possible?
I have tried to follow the instructions on the Mozilla Support page, but the Adobe Flash linked page does not match the process described in the support instructions (it doesn't tell me if Flash is installed on my PC and there is no 'missing plugin' option to select.
I have installed and uninstalled Flash 10 8 times but each time I install Flash 10 it does not appear in the Add-ons/Plugins dialogue box. It is very frustrating and I can't find any way round this problem. Any assistance would be much appreciated!
