How to apply custom authentication in an application?

Hi All,
I have to create one application in which there is a dealership table..... which stores information about dealers.
now i want to apply a custom authentication so that only a valid dealer according to the table data can login into the application .
and also the details of that dealer gets displayed on a form based on the username entered.
Can anybody give me the link or procedure to achieve that functionality...please help if anyone knows

I want to understand how they are used or how they work when multiple concurrent request start pouring in.

Apply custom themes to WebDynpro application in Portal

Hi,
We have just upgraded the E-Recruitment to EHP4. We have two instances of ECC in which one acts as HR instance and the other one for E-Recruitmet. We have created custom themes for portal and need to apply the same for the WebDynpro ABAP applications for E-REcruitment. I have downloaded the theme and from portal and uploaded the same in MIME folder using SE80 transaction. I have also added the parameter sap-cssurl=/sap/public/themes/<my custom theme folder name>.
Also tried giving the url in application parameter as
SAP-EP-THEMEROOT=http://<hostname>/irj/portalapps/com.sap.portal.design.portaldesigndata/themes/portal/customer/<custom theme>
Is there any other way to apply themes for WD ABAP applications. I dont want to customize the standard applications and just want to apply the themes.
Any suggession on this is highly appreciated.

How to remove custom authentication provider in weblogic server 11g

Hi ,
I am trying to remove the custom authentication provider in weblogic server 11g, It disappears when i delete it from list of authentication providers. But upon server restart it appears again.
Documentation for 10g says delete it from service administration but i couldn't find one in 11g. Please help me in removing the custom authentication provider

If you are referring to a jar file - custom authenticators are usually placed in the <middleware-home>wlserver_10.3/server/lib/mbeantypes/ directory.

How to apply "Custom Layout" to a XSLT + COCOON + APACHE Report

I've created a new shared Report Layout, the Report Layout Type is "Generic Columns (XSL-FO)" , under " Home > Application Builder > Application 106 > Shared Components > Report Layouts ", this layout just adds the font-style="italic" color="red" attributes to the column headings.
How can I apply this Layout to an existing or a new report?

Found what I was looking for, since existing repots, can't get it's XML extracted a report can't be generated from them. Only for a new custom query.
The answer would be:
Create a custom query, extract XML, create a XSL Template from the XML, upload the template, USE :D.

How to upgrade custom ISA 6.0 applications to 7.0 Ehp2

Hi All,
I have some doubts regarding CRM E-commerce (ISA and ICSS) upgrade from 6.0 to 7.0 ehp2 and setting up track for upgrade.
Let me expalin our current scenario below;
currently we are running on CRM 6.0 and ISA 6.0 sp17. We have almost 9 separate ISA aaplications for different countries since different type of custom changes are for each countries. Unfortunately we don't have track infrastructure as of now and all our 9 applications are local EAR projects and we are doing changes using NWDS and deploying each applications directly to DEV, QAS, PROD systems.
We understood Its high time for us to move to Track based development. Currently Basis is upgrading our systems to CRM 7.0 Ehp2.
Now we have task in front of us; one is creating track in new upgraded landscape and Upgrading our ISA e-commerce application components to CRM 7.0 Ehp2
Please answer my questions below.
1. Can I import my Local Projects in to Track ; if so how?. Is there any easy method to convert my local projects to DC(Since only DC's we can put to track)? Can I import all my 9 applications in to one track or do I have to create separate track for each application?
2. If I create one track for custom application(6.0+ my custom changes) and one track for standard 7.0 ehp2, can I merge these 2 tracks together for upgrading to 7.02 . Will it replace all standard changes in 6.0 with 7.02 automatically?
3. Last but most worrying question is;
If we create an SCA file from our custom Application(6.0 verson) and then import into a new TRACK, then the TRACK will have our Custom Application.
Then if we do an upgrade by importing the latest version of the standard SCA file, will NWDI merging/collission identification process works well? I mean will it identify our SCA and do the replacement and adjustments on the standard code part?
Please help us on this as this is a very urgent requirement

How to register custom form into Oracle Applications

I created a custom form based on a custome table, then I registered in Oracle applications, but it is not opening properly in Oracle applications. It is running fine outside of Oracle Applications. Are there any standard packages which I need to attach while creating this custom form.
Please help.

1. Copy your form (test.fmb) into $AU_TOP/forms/US
2. Compile with f60gen
3. Copy the test.fmx file to $PRODUCT_TOP/forms/US
4. Login to Oracle Applications with sysadmin user
5. Select Application Developer responsibility
6. Navigate to Application - Form -
7. Enter the values for following parameter
Form = test
Application = You can select from LOV
User Form Name = Enter as you like
Description = Enter if any
8. Navigate to Application - Function
9. Enter the values in the function form
in Description TAB - Enter the value for Function, User Function Name, Description
in Properties TAB - Type = FORM
Maint.Mode Support = None
Context Dependence = Responsibility
in Form TAB - Form = Select your form name that already registered (above one)
Application = Will display
Parameters = STARTUP_MODE= TEST
10. Now you can attach the form in Menu then Responsibility
Revert back if you have any query.

Custom Authentication in Apex 4.2

Hi,
I am trying to create a custom authentication scheme in apex 4.2. I have a database table which have username and password in it. I am using a function which returns Boolean after checking the username and password. I have checked it from toad and it works fine. But, when i am calling it from custom authentication it doesn't work.

Have you created new authentication scheme? Before this, does your application had any authentication scheme?
Best case - create sample application in apex.oracle.com and post credentials so we can have a look

How to apply style sheet (.css) in Weblogic directory listing

We are migrating a directory listing application from Apache to Weblogic.
Earlier we did this by Apache httpd.conf entry like below :

We are able to view the reports but we do not get look-and-feel of Apache like directory listing.
but we encounter below issues:
1) File/Folder icons are not visible - we want to use style sheets in http header from the response that is returned from weblogic server
2) Filename is limited to 29 characters when it is showing
3) Files are not sortable as Descending order - we sorted using tag <wls:index-directory-sort-by>LAST_MODIFIED</wls:index-directory-sort-by> but the latest file is shown at the last
We are thinking that Weblogic must be having some configuration like Apache httpd.conf where we can apply style sheets (css ).
We would appreciate af anyone can provide better insight into the issue.
or is it possible to extend weblogic.servlet.fileservlet class to serve this purpose.

Could anyone please advice me how to apply custom style to the first and last tabs of af|panelTab component.
For eg- If I have 6 tabs and I want tab1 and tab6 to be in Red and rest of the tabs in blue, what should I add. Please advice.

Please let me know if you have applied Fix pacK3 for Xcelsius.
I have seen this issue in FP2, which got fixed in FP3. The workaround you can try is including a blank cell.

How to create a custom authentication in APEX?

I have little experience in APEX and i'm trying to create a custom authentication for a new application i'm developing. I've tried to follow other posts replies but no success...
I already have a table for usernames and passwords - let's call it table_users - having the following fields: ent_id, ent_username, ent_password and ent_type. I don't need a form in my application to insert new users; only give users access to change their own password.
How can i create a custom authentication?
