How to attch a word document to Purchase requisation ME51N

Hi
I am facing a problem to attach a drawing document or word document to the transaction ME51N how I can attach a document for purchase requisation, when I tried to click attch document in item overview sub menu bar . one pop up screen is coming in that it is asking Document type and document part and version , where i can do the customising attach the document .
can any body help me to get the solution .

Hi,
Do you need the document to be visible outside of ME52?
You can attach a document to a requisitions by clciking on the icon underneath the OK code field (on the line that says "Change Purchase req.......).
It is an Icon that is often overlooked.
Click on it and then click on the "create" Icon.
the problem with this isthat the attachment will only be to that requisitions in that transaction, it will not be carried forward to the PO.
If you want attachments that stay with the document throughout the process then this is available in ECC6 but not in 4.6 or earlier (not sure about 4.7, I don't think it works there either)

I understand that it is possible to bring attachments from ECC to the SRM system for the new release.
However, I have a slightly different question.
If I want to bring in requirements from a legacy system to SRM 7.0 system directly, what is the feasability of the same? If I have an attachment linked in the legacy system, then is it possible to bring it in SRM 7.0 system directly or will I be forced to route it to ECC 6.0 and then use the Plan Driven Procurement scenario for getting it into SRM?

How to insert a word document or an RTF document into af:richTextEditor. I am using Apache POI for reading the Word document and getting its contents. I am able to display the whole content of the document except the table and image within the document. The data in the table is getting displayed as a string and not as a table inside the editor.
Can we insert a word/RTF document into a rich text editor?
Can we insert images into the rich text editor?
The following is the code that I used. On clicking a button the word document has to be inserted into the <af:richTextEditor>.

images are not yet supported. Its an open enhancement request for the rich text editor.
For tables, it seems they are supported but in a basic way (just HTML 4 style) if I interpret the tag documentation correct

Create the name of the standard text you want in SO10.
When the editor is called up, select Text -> Upload and then browse for your file(s). Must be saved in RTF format in Word remember.

I have logged on to icloud but when I click on iWork, the only tabs are for keynote, numbers and pages. There is no tab for word documents but then how do I access word documents on iCloud?

I have no idea as I am not ever going to use a Cloud system for storing my personal files. I have computers for that. Your best bet would be to use Google and type in "Uploading files to Apple's iCloud system". I bet you will get all the info you could ever ask for.

I assume that the site is not optimized for iOS/mobile browsers, if that is the behavior that you are seeing. You could try downloading an alternative browser that identifies as a desktop browser like Mercury Browser. There is a free version that I am using right now. You can identify as a desktop browser by tapping the Settings Icon and choosing for User Agent in the lower right corner.
Perhaps if the site recognizes the browser as a desktop version, it will work for this purpose. If it doesn't work, you have lost nothing but a little bit of time. If it does work and you like Mercury, you can purchase the full version.
I have the Full version of Mercury, iCab Mobile, Atomic, Dolphin, and Google Chrome which will all identify as desktop browsers.

i have a new iPad for work. I have installed both the free word app and the Polaris office app. I am able to receive word attachments and view them, but it won't allow me to open them for editing in the apps. I hold on the attachment, but the option to open with the app is not there. It will also not allow me to choose to email newly created word documents from the iPad in Word or Polaris Office.

I have installed both the free word app
The original free word app didn't support editing. Microsoft recently announce the free app would support limited editing. You need office 365 to do full editing.

I'm trying to show the content of a MS Word document through forms 6i. This document was stored as byte-for-byte by an application developed in .Net to an BLOB column (oracle table). Anybody could help me in how to show this document using Internal Persistend LOBs and through forms 6i?
I've been searching for it a lot of time without success...

I've read about using the ole2 item, but I don't how to do it with BLOB files. I tried to use it and didn't work... I don't know if I've used it correctly or not. Could anybody give a sample, please?
