How to authenticate with UTL_SMTP to smtp-msa server

Hi all,
I'm trying to create a package which send html mails.
This package use utl_smtp package to send mails and it works fine with a standard smtp server like smtp.orange.fr (I'm in France). Now I would like to use another smtp server (smtp-msa.orange.fr) but this one needs an authentication. How can I do this with my Oracle package ?
My database where stored package is a 11g database.

I saw something like:
utl_smtp.command(l_connection, 'AUTH LOGIN');
utl_smtp.command(l_connection, utl_encode.base64_encode(utl_raw.cast_to_raw('mymaillogin')));

But when I try to use it, I have that error:

How to authenticate with MSISDN using REST style in openSSO

I need authenticate with MSISDN using the REST style in openSSO.
So, can anybody tells how to implement it? I am aware of implementing with username password by calling the URL as /opensso/identity/authenticate. If i want to authenticate using MSISDN how we have do it using REST in openSSO 8.0.

I hope there is something related to MSISDN in the administrator Guide and Administrator Reference. Administrator reference contains the MSDN attribute lists. I found that in the Developer's guide, there is a documentation related to customising authentication modules where we can specify MSISDN authentication module. I guess there is a msisdn.xml file which can be can be configured.
I am a new bee on this front. But I guess, we will find it out together. To what extent you have done to configure. Could you give me little detail about it. ;)

How to authenticate with OD on Network Accounts outside of a LAN

Does anybody have a solution for allowing a mac computer client to connect and authenticate against my mac mini OD server outside of its LAN. This is so they can access their network accounts. On the laptop at a friends house using snow leopard, I added successfully the network account server which is running at home to their system. When I log out the user accounts appear however upon passwod authentication, the screen just shakes its head.
What can be done so that my friend can be able to log in.

Have you considered enabling the account to be Mobile Accounts? that way even when the network is down, say on an airplane or where ever, they could sitll log into their computers?
Have you tried turning off the firewall? or DMZ the Mac Server? (incase of a port issue) if it works, then you know where to look.
I assume you have: 389, 636, 625, 2336, 4120, 749, 88, 4511
Along the same lines, do you know if they're directly online; or behind a firewall from where ever they're trying to conenct?
Is the OD set to accept all kind of authetication? or only specific porticals? KDC vs Hash, extra. if some login methods are disabled, have you tried enabling them?
Also you could try looking at the secure.log to see if it's spitting out an error message.

How to authenticate with CUPS ?

At my university there is a print service and it's theoretically possible to send print jobs from home. In order to do this I have to set up a new printer as a 'windows printer via samba'. The problem is, that I have to authenticate, but I simply don't know how to send authentication information using CUPS.
There is a manual from the central computer service of my university. It uses Ubuntu to set up the printer connection and they can authenticate, but I don't know how I can accomplish this with Arch.

Ok, I figured out how to send a username and a password via CUPS to authenticate to the printer. It works like this
smb://username:password@workgroup/server/printersharename
smb://username:password@server/printersharename
and can be found here, at the Samba docs.
I went to my university, logged into the wireless network and tested it. I was able to print my first page via u:pring! Hooray! \o/
The problem, that I still can't access http://localhost:631/ remains. Damnit, why does it always redirect me to www.localhost.com, which doesn't exist, when I am in the university's network?!?
The next thing I want to try is to print a test page from my dormitory to prove that I can print via CUPS and VPN.
Security issue: I think that the username and password are sent as clear text to the printer, so sending a print job via the a normal, non-vpn Internet connection to the printer is unsecure.
VPN should be secure, isn't it?

How to authenticate with certificate?

I wanna try to build a more secure LAN. I want every client (wired/wireless) to connect the network used a certificate not a user/password pair.
But now, as i am a newbie, I don't know what to choose between TACACS+ and RADIUS. Because I have a Mac mini, maybe RADIUS is more suitable, but i don't know how to establish the CA.
Any help or suggestion will be appreciated!

We most typically do this in the context of implementing a product like Cisco's Identity Services Engine (ISE). ISE uses 802.1x and has the ability to check clients for things like a certificate during the authentication / posture assessment / remediation process.
It also acts as a RADIUS server and can dynamically push out Change of Authorization (CoA) to the authenticator (i.e switch or Wireless controller) in order to control things like client VLAN assignment and any access-lists you may want to apply.
On the client side, a supplicant is used to interact with the authenticator. You can use native supplicants from OS X or Windows etc. but we generally recommend use of Cisco's AnyConnect Secure Mobility client with its Network Access Module (NAM) as it's much more full-featured for that purpose.
You could also do 802.1x with certificate authentication and use a different backend authentication server (like a regular Cisco ACS or Microsoft Network Policy Server) but you would just get more basic authentication vs. the rich functionality ISE gives (albeit ISE costs a lot more ;) ).

Problem with yahoo! SMTP POP server mail account on new upgraded iphone 4.3.5

PLEASE HELP!
I am a California AT&T wireless customer with a new iphone 4 on the iOS 4.3.5 upgraded system and suddenly I am unable to successfully add my Yahoo! email account and have it configured to send/receive my emails. I was able to successfully add my gmail and Microsoft exchange server account, but only problems with the Yahoo! I checked all the settings, have done several add/delete accounts, restore network settings, and retry/reboots, to no avail. This is a seriously annoying problem, it worked with the pre-upgraded older version fine without any problems ever. I continually get the same error message: SERVER UNAVAILABLE, please try again later.
I know this error is inaccurate because all my other email accounts work fine as well as Safari and all other internet connections and apps. It is not a phone thing, it is some yahoo and upgraded software incompatibility issue that no one seems to have resolved yet.
This is a SMTP PUSH POP account, and I have literally tried everything. I have tried all the fixes while connected to wifi, and then tried them just via my 3G cell network connection. I read on a message board about turning on/off SSL, could someone tell me how to do that? When I go into to:
settings>mail accounts>outgoing mail server SMTP>Yahoo! SMTP, everything is grayed out and I can't change any ports or SSL.
When I try to manually add a server, which I was told was a fix, I don't know what to type into the host name. Does anyone know how to help?
I have seen this problems on numerous message boards, even in the UK. I contacted Apple Support, with no success in resolving this problem, had an open case for several days contacted several supervisor personnel, all advised me to contact Yahoo! who do not offer customer care via telephone only online, and nothing there helped to resolve my issue.

Yahoo's servers have been having problems off and on now for close to a month if not longer. There's not much you can do about it except talk to Yahoo, which is kind of like beating your head against a wall. They've had problems like this off and on since as far back as the mid 90's. I gave up on them long ago. Just convert to something else and dump them. It's not worth the headache.

How to print with HP Jetdirect 175g Print Server

I am using an old "Snow" Airport base station, which works perfectly well with my MacBook's AirPort card under Snow Leopard. Currently an HP Jetdirect 175g Print Server is plugged into the Airport base station. However, when I press the print server's configuration button, a page is printed out that merely indicates a subnet of 255. But otherwise does not offer an IP address, for use in setting up an Snow Leopard IP printer.
HP is of absolutely no help here. The print server was originally set up under Tiger, however since upgrading to Snow Leopard it no longer works. I am at a loss as to how to make this connection work that once did under TIger. There is no driver installer listed on HPs site for OS X.

It's been years since I've worked with a JetDirect print server but at that time I used HP's Web Jetadmin application on Windows 9x. Checking the HP web site there doesn't appear to be a Mac version - still only Windows versions.
Looking at the HP web site, there appears to be a way to reset the print server and configure the network settings via telnet. Have a look at this document.

How to upgrade (with clean install) a OEL4 server to OL5 on a live system

My problem is that I cannot find any meaningful information on how to perform a OL upgrade on a live system with a running database.
The system is running OEL 4.9 (migrated from RHEL 4 to OEL) and I want to upgrade it to OL 5.7 (wanted to use 6.1 but that is not yet certified for 11.2)
I know that using Anaconda's upgrade is not supported so I guess I will have to use a clean install. (the system is full of legacy rpm's and old drivers that where needed in previous 4.x releases and dependencies that I wouldn't want to upgrade).
So I want to do a clean install of 5.7 on the server, but what is the process? There are 3 LVs running 1 for the OS (with partitions for /, /boot, /tmp, /usr, /var and /home )
1 for the Oracle software / data files and 1 for exports / archive logs and such.
If I do a clean install on the OS LV (after taking a backup of everything) will I be able to reuse the existing setup of Oracle software on the 2nd logical volume? create the oracle user with the same uid/gid, running root.sh, etc.. Will it start and be able to mount/open the database ? (I am assuming the need to rebuild the installation) There is also a home for 11.2 middleware web-tier utilities (for APEX).
I have been searching in vain for some guides / insight into what the correct procedures are for upgrading the OEL4 to OL5 (or OL6 if it gets certified in the next few months).
Any help appreciated.

My problem is that I cannot find any meaningful information on how to perform a OL upgrade on a live system with a running database.Firstly, it is good to know your system is running satisfactorily.
After taking a full backup (and checking that the backup is good!), you must shutdown the RDBMS instances.
1) Reboot from the distribution media.
2) Choose a full install; you do not want to upgrade.
3) Be very careful to click on the checkbox to "use custom setup" so that you will get a display of the current storage setup.
4) In the Anaconda Disk Druid screen, edit the displayed LVMs to use their old mount points.
5) Make absolutely certain that the checkbox to reformat the LVMs for your database setup are clear, not checked.
6) Do install the default RPM package selection; the OL distro is configured to install the necessary prerequisites for an RDBMS setup.
7) After the installation completes, be sure to install the "oracle-validated" RPM package to do the necessary tuning.
8) Add back all the user accounts.
9) Move on to bringing up the RDBMS.
Looks scary, and is, but can be done. Practice installing this way before doing it for real -- you do want to be familiar with each installation step and to realize where you are along the process.

How to Communicate with Programs running on AIX server Using LabVIEW.

We have an IBM AIX server on which some programs are running which basically perform some scientific calculations. I am required to send the inputs to the calculation from a VI on windows system and get back the results on the VI. I do not have any idea on how to do this.
But i heard that there is a tool ( not developed in LabVIEW) developed by my customer which can communicate with the AIX server thro Java Classes.
So i tried exploring APPLETVIEW which supports java and LabVIEW but i am confused.
Is there any way to achive this interfacing between AIX and LABVIEW?.

Hi Vilas,
How you may communicate with you AIX server may very greatly depending on what is running on your server. Here is a link to another thread where Java calls and AppletView were discussed. It contains a link to the company that makes AppletView, so it may have some good information for you.
Also, if your customer suggested you use AppletView and they developed it, they would probably be your best bet for explaining it to you.

I cannot recieve in siebel mail from mail server.
First problem is my mail server using IMAP protocol instead POP3
Is the config in profile the same as POP3 but using another port (143 for IMAP)?
Second security of mail server wants to Check authenticity of the user - how it configure in profile in siebel?
