How to call setdata method in POST method of BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST ?

I am working on the enhancement to PO using BADI . My requirement is to update the net price of the item while saving the PO based on some conditions. i am calling setdata method to update the item netprice. But i am unable to update it? Can you please help me on how to change the item price while saving the PO?

     The methods in a view are only accessible inside same view. you cannot call it outside the view or
     in any other view although its in same component.
     If you want to have a method in both views, then create the method in component controller and
     from there you can access the method any where in whole component.

I'm calling Set_data method to set line item data of PO in POST method in ZME_PROCESS_PO_CUST.
But data is not updating.

Calling https web service POST method from ABAP

Hi all,
I'm having some problems trying to call a credit card https web service from ABAP on 2004s SP11. I'm not using a proxy server and a call from a test https page on my local machine works fine. The page does not require a certificate.
Do I need to do anything in particular to make https work ? I've done calls to http services without any problems. The only difference from a programming perspective as far as I know is the scheme 2 instead of 1, and the server protocol changed to HTTPS.
All is fine until I call method http_client->receive, at that point I get a return code of 1, http_communication_failure.
Your suggestions & contributions will be greatly appreciated.

Well, finally got this running !
First of all I needed to download SAP Cryptographic Software and install it on the Web Application Server. Added some parameters to the profile, then set up some nodes in strust. Note 510007 describes the full process.
I then installed the certifcate I needed by opening the website in internet explorer and exporting it to a CER file and then importing it into the SSL client (Anonymous). The blog from Thomas Yung, "BSP a Developer's Journal Part XIV - Consuming WebServices with ABAP" describes the process of exporting and importing certificates.
I then had to start the HTTPS service on my NW 2004s ABAP preview edition SP11. I set this up for port 443.
/osmicm --> GOTO --> SERVICES --> SERVICE --> CREATE
Then finally, the program needed a few changes :

How to send recomposed data in post method.

Currently, i try to build up MVC user authentication. I used login.html as View, servletA as controller to invoked Model and servletB as Model. The servletB will return queried result to servletA then servletA will decide redirected to specific url.
I has successful use the RequestDispatcher.forward(request, response) to post data from servletA to servletB. whereas i faced a trouble to post data back from servletB to servletA, which i unable put the queried result into request obj before post it back to servletA.
Any genius recommendation about this? or Any method composed data to send via post method?

Here's a quick rundown that might help:
Use request.setAttribute() to put an item in request scope in a servlet before dispatching to another servlet or JSP.
Use <useBean> tag in a JSP to read the data on the JSP that the servlet put in request scope.
Alternatively, you can use request.getAttribute(), but the useBean is preferred.
Use request.getParameter() in a servlet to read data that the <form> tag on the JSP page put in request scope.
Use request.setAttribute() and request.getAttribute() to get send/get data between servlets (it could be request.getParameter(), but I dont think so).
There is a RequestDispatcher.forward() and a RequestDispatcher.include(). I'm not sure what the differences are (you'll have to research it.
In MVC, I have a single servlet for the controller (receive all url's, and dispatch to the appropriate JSP). I dont hava a separate servlet for the model. Instead, I instansiate a business object on the servlet, pass data to it, and let it do the calcuations. Then I have it return the data to the servlet which puts it in request scope for the JSP page when I dispatch to it. My MVC usuallyconsists of:
JSP -presentation layer
servlet - control layer
business logic layer
database layer (DAO).
Each layer does not contain the functionality of one of the other layers (clean separation of concerns).
Last note: Whereas you can use a servlet for the controller, a framework such as Spring or Struts is often used instead.

How to call rest service with POST Http method in SMP2.3 HWC?

And why make a new Connection here, I thought you did that in your Connection class (which is not a good choice of names, by the way, since it matches the name of the java.sql.Connection interface)
Is this what you mean ? But, what is the returnType
above ?You intend to return your stmt reference, right? So, the return type of that method has to match the type of thing you are returning, which is Statement.

Yes it is possible, pls follow the below approach to access the component controller in context node class
1) since the standard component controller class is protect variable , declare a variable of type component controller in your controller class.
say for example the public variable you declared is g_comp_controller
2) now redefine the controller class method WD_CREATE_CONTEXT and add the below lines of code
   g_comp_controller ?= me->comp_controller.
3) go to context node class (CNXX) there declare the varaible which of type controller class (IMPL) as public variable, for example g_owner
4) redefine the method IF_BSP_MODEL~INIT and write the below code
     CALL METHOD super->if_bsp_model~init
    EXPORTING
      id    = id
      owner = owner.
g_owner ?= owner.
5) now the variable   g_owner that is declared in (CNXX)   contains reference to your controller class
6) in on_new_focus method access your component controller in the below manner and access the entities also.
DATA: lv_owner                    TYPE REF TO xxxxx_impl, " Implementation class
             lr_comp_cont                TYPE REF TO xxxx_bspwdcomponen_impl, " component controller class
             lv_entity type ref to cl_crm_bol_entity.

How to call parent view event or method from popup in java webdynpro

I have view in my webdynpro component. I created a button, when i click i am opening a popup window.
In side popup window i am doing some search criteria. I want call a parent view method from popup window and populate search results in parent view table control.I can able to pass the data through context mapping. But i want a custom method where i want to write a code to populate the table control ( i don;t want to use the wdDoModifyView() method).

I need to make calls to methods from a dll . Why ? because the main project is in java and I am a java developer . This dll is the API of an other system that we need to access .
I have searched this on google as you normally do . I found Jacob and some examples using javah . But all the references are old . The latest file I downloaded (version 1.5) was written in 2004 .
Like wise all the results I get on google are old like from 2000 and even 2001 . What are standard practices for this now a days . The dll is written in Visual Basic .
Any help will be appreciated .

Need more information to know what are you going to doWell that's an invain argument but I agree in principle .
That DLL is not my code , it is api for some other application that we need to access . A system written by some other company whose API is exposed to us in a DLL . I need to use that simple as that .
