How to capture username in ABAP table

Hi experts,
I have this case:
A webdynpro application calling a BAPI throught adaptive RFC.
The problem is the last updated username captured in my ABAP tables is the one supplied when i created the logical system names. (JCO)
What i actually want to capture is username of the user who login.
What am i missing ?

Use the foll. code to get the user id
IWDClientUser clientUser = WDClientUser.getCurrentUser();
Pass this is as a parameter to RFC. Your ABAPer will have to do a change in RFC to capture and insert this User id in the respective table.

Hi,
I understand that you had created a Ztable and when user enters USER ID, Username should automatically get populated into that field.
You cfan achive this by creating an ew module.
In PAI module at Chain and ENdchain create a new module. ex : Module Cust.
Place a breakpoint and then try to execute it. If the cursor is triggering it then you can place a pice of code in that module.
Ex :
types : begin of ty_usr,
                  USERID
                   USERNAME
            end of ty_usr.
data : t_usr type standard table of ty_usr,
          wa_usr type ty_usr.
   Select USERID
              USER NAME
              from XYZ table
              into table t_USR
              where USERID = INPUT field (UserId) filled by the user in that table.
         Then you can populate the t_usr-USERNAME into the Field of the Ztable.
          In this way, if the user just put the User id and press enter it will automatically populate the Usrename into the Field.
This will fix the issue.

How to capture insert into wf_notifications table

we are building a custom app, which needs to know as soon as a row in insterted into the wf_notifications table, and we want to avod creating a on insert trigger on this table.
Is there a way to figure out that a row is being inserted into this table without having to write a trigger.

Oracle Workflow raises a business event oracle.apps.wf.notification.send as soon a notification record is created in WF_NOTIFICATIONS table. This business event has parameters such as NOTIFICATION_ID, RECIPIENT_ROLE etc. If you have access to the notification id you may access all other information from WF_NOTIFICATIONS table.
You may create a subscription to this business event with On Error -> Skip property so that in case of an error, your subscription does not impact the normal processing of seeded subscriptions. You may have a PLSQL rule function in the subscription to process the logic required when the notification is created.
Please refer to Oracle Workflow Developer Guide for more information on using Business Event System.

I would like to know 'How to Capture Multiple Change' of a node . For example , a table is bound to a node and I select Multiple entries in the table . Then, how to capture Multiple entries of the table . Is there any method ?
There is a method 'GET_CONTEXT_CHANGE_LOG' of 'if_wd_context' which captures single change of the node .

How to send data from internal table to the shared folder in ABAP

Hi experts,
My requirement is to transfer data from a file to shared folder. i just did reading data from a file to a internal table. Now i want to send this internal table data into a shared folder which is "
xxx\y\z....".
I do not have any idea on how to send data from internal table to the shared folder path.

Where that folder is located, its on presentation server i.e. desktop or application server.
If its on presentation server, use FM GUI_UPLOAD.
If its on application server, then use DATASET functions. Have a look at below link.

How to handle BLOB field in receiver JDBC adapter into ABAP table

Dear Experts,
I am working in a synchronous scenario with Sender ABAP Proxy to Oracle Database as receiver via SAP PO 7.4.I will be calling a stored procedure view with fields ID, NAME,Age,*** and BLOB (Image binary).
1. The response from Oracle Database field BLOB is to be stored in ABAP table.Would I have to write any JAVA program to read the BLOB or the receiver JDBC adapter will handle it and store in a table by using ABAP proxy once it reaches ECC.
2. If yes, would the JAVA program have to deal with other 4 fields.
3. Can I use a UDF mapping to this BLOB field.

steps to follow :
->Have the data in internal table (itab).
->Now use sort command for the particular column which ever you want to sort.
e.g sort itab descending by <Column>.

How to Captured Value into Select-Options Range Table Without "Enter"

I defined a set of Select-Options in the Web Dynpro. I found that the value for the Select-Options will not be captured whenever I manually type in the value instead of choosing it from F4 Help Drop Down.
However, this problem can be resolved if I manually type in the value for Select-Options in the Selection Field and I press "Enter". Without pressing "Enter" value will not be captured.
Any solution for this issue? Please help.

My problem is only when the user key in the value themselves rather than choosing it from Select-Options drop down value. Most of the time user will know what value to key in and will skip the step to choose from the Drop Down List. Thus, if this happen, the value keyed in by the user will not be able to capture into the range table.

How to create an dynamic internal table with the structure of a ddic table

Hi all,
I want to fill ddic-tables (which I already created) in my abap dictionary with data out of CSV-files (which are located on the CRM-Server). The ddic tables have different amount of fields.
I started with creating a table which contains the name of the tables and the path to the matching CSV-file.
At the beginning I'm filling an internal table with part of this data (the name of the ddic-tables) - after that I am looping at this internal table.
LOOP AT lt_struc ASSIGNING <lfs_struc>.
     LOOP AT lv_itab1 INTO lv_wa1 WHERE ztab_name = <lfs_struc>.
     lv_feld = lv_wa1-zdat_name.
    ENDLOOP.

This is not the whole code, but it's working until
SPLIT lv_rec AT ';' INTO TABLE lt_str_values.
I want to split all the data of lv_rec into an internal table which has the structure of the current ddic-table, but I didn't find out how to do give the internal table the structure of the ddic-table. In the code I used an internal tyble type string but I should be the structure of the matching tabel.
If I try to create an internal table by using a fiel symbol, I am told, that the data types are not matching.
Has anyone an idea?

I must warn you not to use it. The reason is that the number of tables created is limited, the method uses GENERATE SUBROUTINE statement and this triggers an unwanted database commit.
If you know the DDIC structure, it is (starting with ECC6.0) much easier:
field-symbols:
<table> type standard table.
data:
lr_data type ref to data.
Create data lr_data type table of (<DDIC structure>).
assign lr_data->* to <table>.
The split code can be simplified gaining speed loosing complexity not loosing functionality.
field-symbols:<fs_s> type any.
field-symbols:<fs_t> type any.
SPLIT lv_rec AT ';' INTO table it_string.
loop at it_string assigning <fs_s>.
assign component sy-tabix of wa_string to <fs_t>.
if sy-subrc = 0.
<fs_t> = <fs_s>.
endif.
at last.
append <fs_itwa3> to <ft_itab3>.
endat.
endloop.
Though it may work as Keshav.T suggested, there is no need to do that way.
