How to change subtotal dinamically in ALV

Hi all,
I have this kind of problem. I'm using an ALV GRID for
displaying a set of document with different values in the column. I have set the first column as a checkbox to allow the user to check/uncheck a single line. The problem is that I want to sum only the line that is checked dinamically.
Can you give me any suggestions?

nb: I take look to the method 'set_table_for_first_display' but I don't find where the sum is calculated.

I will use Subramanian's idea in regard to adding a SUM button, to provide another option.
Assume FIELD1 is the field that you want to sum on based on the checkbox indicator. Add an additional field to your internal table, I will call it FIELD1_SUM, defined LIKE FIELD1. Consider suppressing zero display so that a zero value displays as spaces.
On first display, I assume all checkboxes are unchecked, so FIELD1 will have values, FIELD1_SUM will be zero, and a total is presented on FIELD1_SUM that intially is zero.
The user can use your checkbox to indicate which numbers to sum. After the user sets the checks, your new SUM button is hit.
The hit of the new SUM button should invoke the following logic:
1. LOOP at internal table.
2. For each row, if checkbox is set, move FIELD1 to FIELD1_SUM.
3. For each row, if checkbox is NOT set, set FIELD1_SUM to zero.
Refresh the ALV grid display with the new data and you should now have a new total of FIELD1_SUM for only the checkboxed fields.
You can also consider making FIELD1 a hotspot and every time the user hits the hotspot, the value is added/removed from the total of FIELD1_SUM. You could add an S type message to tell the user what happened.
Lot of missing details here but hopefully you get the idea. Does this meet your needs?

How to give condition on the value of subtotal line in ALV list display,
i.e.if value of subtotal of plan quantity = actual quantity (in red oval) it should show the message
'ON TIME DELIVERY' else it should not show messagee.In my case(shown in red oval) its

I am awaiting for solution for this problem.....but as i think dynamically displaying sub total based on
matching actual quantity and planned quantity is bit complicated.
My idea is to display matched quantities in one block and unmatched quantities in another. I mean using blocked list.

ALV GRID: How to change Subtotal and Main total values in standard row

Hi Experts,
By using SORT-SUBTOT = 'X' and FIELDCATALOG-DO_SUM    = 'X', I will get subtotal and Main total.
My requiremnt is I need be calculate values manually and pass the calculated values to subtotal and maintotal.
is it possible in ALV GRID?
By adding extra row we will do this but I am looking standard subtotal and maintotal row change.

With function REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY you cannot do this.
It´s possible if you create a class inherited from cl_gui_alv_grid and rewrite the method set_data_table, you can do this. Like:

Yes, you can. If you are using a field catalog, you can change the field labels in your program.
For example.
data: fc_tmp type slis_fieldcat_alv .
clear: fieldcat. refresh: fieldcat.
clear: fc_tmp.
 fc_tmp-reptext_ddic = 'Material Number'.
fc_tmp-fieldname = 'MATNR'.
fc_tmp-tabname = 'IMARA'.
fc_tmp-outputlen = '18'.
fc_tmp-col_pos = 2.
append fc_tmp to fieldcat.
If you are using the MERGE funciton module to get your field catalog, then you just need to loop thru it and change the field which is holding the description, then modify the line of the field catalog.

if material number falls 1 to 10 then i considered be calculate and display subtotal qty amount with subtotal text " Total of the mat1" and if material number falls 11 to 20 then again i need to be claculate and display subtotal qty amount with subtotal text "total of the mat2". if material number falls 21 to 30 then i don't want to display any subtotal and At last grand total also is not required.

I doubt if that can be changed....because the event that i was referring to in my previous post works with ALV List display...But in any case you can try that.....
There is an event in SLIS....(As i told you, i dont remember the name and currently i dont have access to SAP system, so i am not able to verify and let you know that event name).....
Other thatn TOP and END of PAGE events, there is an event for sub-total text......i think it would start with "SUBTOTAL"...
you need to use that event in your events table and pass it to ALV Grid display.
Then create a sub-routine with that name (As you do for TOP-OF-PAGE event)....and in this event you can change the values in runtime (PROVIDED, this event gets triggered for ALV GRID).....
If this does not work, i think calculating sub-totals while you build the internal table would be a better option....(If you have time constraint....else you can do some more research on the same)........
