How to change the visible item of JCombobox

hi,
i have created a JCombobox having items A, B, C, D and E. The item that is visible on the combobox (without performing any mouse action over it) is A. i have a button "Change to Default" in the same frame. If I click on this button B should become the visible content of ComboBox in place of A. Could anyone suggest me how to do it.

Well, you could start by reading the documentation for JComboBox: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/javax/swing/JComboBox.html
There you will find setSelectedIndex and setSelectedItem. Either of those will do it for you.

If you are using make-to-stock scenario, there should be no further problem. If you are using assembly order, please try to reject the sales order item to see if it could fullfill your requirement.

Try the below method:
Goto Screen Painter -> Double click on Input-Output field for ATWRT another screen will appear with attributes of Input Output field -> Increase the Visible length Value there. (Option of visible length is below the Name and Text attribut of Attribute windiw.)
If the Visible length field isn't allowing change then declare it as a Char type instead of taking the DataType for Data Dictionary.

That's a pretty general question. If its a path, the functionality you need is in the AIPath.h header; if its something else you need the correct suite to deal with it. I'd start by playing around with the SDK's examples -- they have something solid code that shows how you modify paths & other basic a Illustrator art types. If you run into trouble come back with a more specific question -- asking how you modify art in general is simply to broad a topic.

If I'm not wrong I saw something about this here (SDN), in a technical article about how to create a JDBC iView . I tried to get the link to the article but it seems there's a problem with the site, sorry...
By the way, I had the same problem, and according to the article this was not possible in the version EP6 SP2 but there was a plan to implement this in newer versions. I tried also to use a SQL command with the column names I wish to display but it didn't work either.
Try to find this article in the EP Technical Article to confirm this info, ok ?

Hello Gurus,
After the PO created, User wants to change the commitment item for GL acct 330118 temporarily from 330001 to 330000 due to budget constraint. However after budget has been topped up, we are unable to change back to the correct no. Even we have modified the Asset Master and GL masters also. But in PO we are not able to change the commitment item.
Kindly help to solve this issue.

I changed the widh and height of the selected items. While converting stroke weight of the selected item also changed. But i need to change the width and height of the selected items without any modification in the stroke weight(scale strokes and effects). Could you please advice me the possiblilities and solution via scripting.

HI,
First try to find the exists available for that transaction and find menu exit in that exist. Once you find the exits create project in tcode cmod then go to that menu exit.
Just double click on that exit, it will show the existing text, if you want to change the text then click on change mode, it will asks for package, you have to provide package then give the text whatever you want and save it and activate it.
The new text will be available in your transaction.

i think instead of pre-text-item put the code in when new item instance.or try creating a visual attribute with background color as yellow and attach that using set_item_property in when new item instance or check for help on DISPLAY_ITEM built in in forms help.I think one of these should definitely help u.

    I am woking on a scenario where when I click a button in Adobe Form,
another Adobe Form should be displayed. This is using Web Dynpro Java.
For this I have made the second form invisible and I want to make this VISIBLE when the button is Clicked. I am unable to get a method where this property of interactive form can be changed.
Also, If there is any other way this can be done please let me know.
I am using NWDS 7.0.09 with Adobe Live cycle designer 7.1.

You need to get the handler to the adobe form in your webdynpro program. If you are using webdynpro for java the following code snipped could be useful...

an other solution is change the block property QUERY_DATA_SOURCE_TYPE from "Table" to "Sub-query" , than change at run time the property QUERY_DATA_SOURCE_NAME.
First create block and add items
The QUERY_DATA_SOURCE_NAME will be for ex. "Select 'A' as col1, 'B' AS col2, 'C' as col3 from dual"
Set into items the column name property to col1 , col2 ...
At run time change the query to "Select 'Z' as col1, 'X' as col2 , 'Y' as col3 from dual"
in this way you can change the source of column value.
Caution because if you change value type from varchar2 to date you must cast date into varchar2.
May be that this way is valid only for view data not for insert-update, i don't remember.

How to change the components in a visible JPanel?
Is there any way to change the components in a JPanel while it is already visible in a JFrame? I tried the na�ve approach of removing the components and adding new ones, but the effect is not the expected.
For now I'm opening new frames with newly created panels.

After adding/removing components to/from a panel try:
panel.revalidate();
panel.repaint() // sometimes this is also needed, I'm
not sure whyI'm not certain, but I think that panel.revalidate() implicitly calls repaint() only if something actually changed in the layout. If nothing changed, it sees no reason to repaint; hence, if something changed in appearance but not in layout, you have to repaint it yourself.
Or something like that. I'm no expert. ;)
