How to close taskflow that is "Run As Dialog"?

To open a bounded-task-flow in a modal dialog window, I used a "Task Flow Call" activity with the following settings:
1. "Run As Dialog" = true
2. "Display Type" = "external-window
A command link is used to invoke the "Task Flow Call" activity so that the bounded task flow was opened in a modal dialog window:
<af:commandLink text="Call n Dialog" id="cb2" action="openModal" useWindow="true" windowEmbedStyle="inlineDocument"
windowModalityType="applicationModal" windowHeight="500" windowWidth="500"
partialSubmit="true" binding="#{DynamicDashboardContentManager.modalApplicationLink}"/>
How do I close the "dialog" window upon return from flow A ?
For example, clicking a button on a page from flow A will close the dialog window.

Yes, I have a different use case... calling a bounded task-flow of a remote application ie. another web application outside my own web application.
The outcome of "Task Flow Return" of the bounded task-flow of a remote application is set to a generic outcome "done" defined in the adfc-config.xml of the remote application.
That generic outcome just navigate to an empty page for now.
Hence, there is no specific "Task Flow Return" activity whose outcome is set to the caller application ... I don't know if this can be done...
Can the remote application able to close the dialog window it is running in upon the invoke of the generic outcome "done'?
...and how?

        }How do desctroy the current session and close the window parent window. please help me any idea will do .It is quite emergency.
    Thank you

    I tried window.close() and self.close() both are giving me errors (I am certain the problem is with the script)..What does the error messages say? Is it a server error or a Javascript error?
    <c:redirect url="index.jsp"/>
    <script>
         function didit(){
         window.close()
    </script><c:redirect> sends a temporary redirect response to the client using the specified redirect location URL("index.jsp" in your case). Once you redirect, the response should be considered to be committed and should not be written to. The javascript codes that follow the <c:redirect> tag clearly violates this.
    If your objective is to close the window then why are you redirecting?

  • How to close tabs that will not close?

    After being on several sites I am unable to close tabs that I am done with. Started a couple weeks ago.

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    *Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Safe+Mode
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
    It is also possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
    Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
    *Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
    Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

  • How to close pictures that are opened by JAI.create("fileload",filename)

    After doing some deletion tests, it seems that all picture I'm loading with
    JAI.create("fileload",filename) or JAI.create("filestore",pb) stay open and prevent me from deleting those pictures.
    Do you have an idea on how I could close those pictures ?
    thank you !
    Edited by: dnlfrnc on Feb 13, 2008 10:42 AM

    Short answer: you can't if you use JAI.create("fileload",filename) :you can't rely on making a call to the garbage collector, because you can't be sure it will work.
    Instead, use the sream operator:
           FileSeekableStream stream = null;
            try {
                stream = new FileSeekableStream(sourceImageFile.getAbsolutePath());
                // use the stream operator because the fileload operator does not allow to release the handle on the opened file
                PlanarImage input = JAI.create("stream", stream);
                // do your stuff
            } finally {
                // close the stream.
                stream.close();
            } Why you don't have any means (besides gc, but I don't call that an option) of releasing the handle on a file you opened with the fileload operator is beyond me, though (especially as this operator is widely used in the tutorials, and thus is bond to end up in a lot of code)

  • How an application knows that it runs on Exadata ?

    Hi
    We have same sources code which run on 10gR2 and Exadata. So, to use new features (like EHCC) of Exadata, our applications have to know automaticaaly (without setting a environment variable) on which system they run.
    Is there a Oracle view or something else where we can find this information ?
    Thank's

    Depending on what your requirements are, it may be best to add options like compression into the tablespace defaults. This way an application need not know the underlying platform and it still can leverage the feature.
    e.g.
    create tablespace ts_mydata datafile size 100m nologging default compress for query high;

  • How to close the from - to email addresses dialog box

    I do not want to see the from - to section of the email. The older version allowed me to o0pen or close the box. I can't figure out how to accomplish that in the latest version.

    We usually call that the "header" but even that isn't a terribly accurate name for it.
    First thing to do is go to the main Thunderbird menu, choose View|Headers and select "Normal". This suppresses a heap of information about the message routing. I think yours is already set to "normal" but it doesn't hurt to check.
    No menu? Press the alt button on your keyboard.
    Beyond this, you could install an add-on that shrinks it further, called CompactHeader. This can reduce it to one or two lines but not eliminate it altogether. I suspect that many users of this add-on utilize it to manage or reduce the number of buttons to the right.

    taskflow-call is running as Dialog with inline-popup
    Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page?
    There are one or more dependent dialogs open. Navigation from this page will invalidate any open dialogs.
    Press OK to continue, or Cancel to stay on the current page.

    Hi user,
    I'm not 100% sure but you could check whether af:document uncommittedDataWarning property is set to true. If so, try setting it to false.
    Hope it helps

  • HT4623 I did the update, and now I don't know how to close an app when I'm done with it

    I did the update and don't know how to close apps that are open

    Force close apps
    1. Double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking view
    2. Swipe the app's windows upwards to close
    3. The app will fly off the screen

  • After the update I don't know how to close running apps? I recall double clicking the main button then hold one app until they begin a jiggling motion. But that no longer works.

    How do close running apps?

    You still double tap the home button and the apps are lined up across the screen. Swipe up on the app preview thumbnail - drag it up off of the screen - and that will close the app.

  • Here is How you close out an iPhone app that is running in the background

    How do you close out an iPhone app that is running in the background in the new iOS 4? We’ve had more than one reader ask this question since the launch of the new iPhone operating system, and the iPhone 4, last week. Some have asked about this due to battery drain concerns, and others just because they want to be able to shut down a backgrounded app.
    So this seems as good a time as any to share a quick tip on how you can force apps to close in the new iOS 4.
    There are two ways to fore an app to close down under iOS 4. The first is by doing a ‘force quit’ on the app, just as we have done under the previous version of the iPhone OS. To do this, you press and hold the power button while you are in the app you want to close down. Wait for the ‘Slide to power off’ bar appears across the top of the iPhone – then don’t hit Cancel, but instead just hold down the Home button continuously until the app closes and you drop back to the home screen.
    The much easier method now available in iOS 4 is to use the Multitasking bar to close any app you want. Here’s how:
    – Double tap the Home button to bring up the Multitasking bar
    – Press and hold anywhere on the multitasking bar until the icons on it start to wiggle.
    – While they are wiggling, each icon has a Minus sign symbol above it.
    – Press the Minus symbol above any app to close it down.
    That’s it. This will work for any app you want to close, including the Apple built-in apps like Mail and Safari etc.
    Hope this quick tip is helpful to some of you who are getting to know iOS 4.

    The apps on the bottom are recently accessed apps. Instead of closing when you exit the app they go into a suspended state, and will load faster when you next launch them. Unless they are a streaming app (like Pandora) they do not use any power when they appear in the active app list.
    This information, as well as the OP's post, are in the latest user guide. I guess nobody reads manuals anymore
