How to compile my project

Hi,
Currently, I am working on evaluating Sun ONE Studio 7 IDE Enterprise
Edition. We'd like to use the IDE for a coming up project, which will be
written in C++. I was be able to create a small project to exercise all
the features of the IDE such as Project Manager, Build Manager,...the
editor, debugger and other useful tools. In Sun ONE studio 4 update 1I've creates a
Makefile for my sample project and build the executable from this make file
by right-click the make file and choose execute menu item. However, one
question I have is: How do I compile all my project's source code using
Project - Compile Project (Ctrl+Shift-F9) or Build Project
(Ctrl+Shift-F11)? The on-line help seems to focus more on Java application
development.
Best regards,
Eric Huynh

The current Netbeans project model is undergoing some significant changes for NB 4.0. The Sun ONE Studio IDE won't have real project support (one the native developer side) until the release of the 4.0 NB core. The next release of the Sun ONE Studio IDE will convert existing Workshop projects to makefiles but won't have true project support (probably) until the release following the next one (Sun ONE Studio 9?)

How to compile jsp project on the plateform of Myeclipse and jboss
hi :-) this is not eclipse forum and not that sure about your problem but i'll try to answer :-)
i'm not sure how you create your war but there something wrong with your web.xml. kindly check it :-)
by d way, you can deploy your project in my-eclipse by
    - right click on the project then select my-eclipse > Add and Remove Project Deployment's
    - a new window will open and you can now configure how you deploy your project :-)
other alternative edit your jboss-service.xml then put something like this
    <attribute name="URLs">deploy/, file:/D:/workspace/deploy</attribute>
(note, change the path according to your needs)

  • How to Compile java project on command prompt

    Hello Friends,
I have created one java project in eclipse. It has 3 packages, 4 external jars and one Link source (meaning it uses other java package that is not in the same project folder)
    It runs perfectly using eclipse.
Now I want to compile my project and want to run that project.
I tried using "javac -classpath........." but it didn't work for me. Here is the command I used:
I am running this command under my main project folder
    javac -classpath ./../../../lib/tools/lib/blur/blur_formats-1.0.jar;./../lib/commons-codec/commons-codec-1.3.jar;./../lib/commons-httpclient/commons-httpclient-3.1.jar;./../lib/commons-logging/commons-logging-1.1.1.jar;./../lib/org.json/org.json.jar;./../lib/smack/3_0_4/smack.jar;./../../../device/branches/viper/Service/blur/common/push/src* ./src/com.proj.hnm.push.StartService.java*
    1) /device/branches/viper/Service/blur/common/push/src - is a different package I am referring (not in my current project folder) - it has java files in com.pushsync package
    2) ./src/com.proj.hnm.push.StartService.java is my main class, com.proj.hnm package also contains another 2 package, and those other packages also have .java files
Please tell me how do I run my java project?
    Thanks

    Hi
Since it works fine in Eclipse you should install the [Fat Jar eclipse plugin|http://fjep.sourceforge.net/] which will pack everything thats in your eclipse project into a single jar file. Then you can run: java -jar myProject.jar and it should work.

Hi everyone, I started JAVA programming today, and I've done the first tutorial, the famous Hello World.
Firstly I created my JAVA project, a package, and finally I created a class !
In my class I wrote :
    package helloWorld;
    *public class HelloWorld {*
    *     * @param args*
    *     public static void main(String[] args) {*
    *          // TODO Auto-generated method stub*
I know that I have to write : system.out.println("Hello world!!!");,
    I've already wrote it.
My class is save with .java extension
I would like to know how to compile my project to see if it work.
I'm working with Eclipse on a mac
    Thanks for your help
    Henri

Ok, thank you for helping me ! I have another question, How can I fill the method to see my hello world ? I just have to fill the brackets between the strings and argument ?The code you want executed when the program runs is places inside the main() method. Where the //TODO comment is at present.
You must make sure that the java source file has the filename of the class name plus .java.
The source file has to be in a directory with the name of the package. You compile it from the directory containing the package directory using the javac command.
IDEs like Eclipse organize this stuff for you but for your first couple of programs compile from the command line, then you are much clearer about what's going on.

  • How to compile a single file in a project

I have placed my java connector file called "xxxTargetconnector .class" in the below mentioned path
    D:\FSCM9DMO\webserv\FSCMDMO9\applications\peoplesoft\PSIGW\WEB-INF\classes\com\peoplesoft\pt\integrationgateway\targetconnector
I have converted the above class file in to a java file using a decompiler. Now i would like to recompile the java file to get the byte code. This class file imports many class files from jar files which is placed in the below mentioned path.
    D:\FSCM9DMO\webserv\Cybersource.
Before compiling i set the path to include the jar files
    for ex , set path = D:\FSCM9DMO\webserv\Cybersource
For compilation i went to the below path using command prompt and compiled the particular file.
    D:\FSCM9DMO\webserv\FSCMDMO9\applications\peoplesoft\PSIGW\WEB-INF\classes\com\peoplesoft\pt\integrationgateway\targetconnector>javac xxxTargetConnector.java
Unfortunately i got around 99 errors saying
    xxxTargetConnector.java:187: cannot find symbol
    symbol : variable Logger
    location: class com.peoplesoft.pt.integrationgateway.targetconnector.xxxTargetConnector
How to compile a single file in a project ?

According to [http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/tools/windows/javac.html], "As a special convenience, a class path element containing a basename of * is considered equivalent to specifying a list of all the files in the directory with the extension .jar or .JAR. I have never tried using this feature.
So if all of your dependent classes are in in jar files that are in D:\FSCM9DMO\webserv\Cybersource, a command like the following should work.
    javac -cp D:\FSCM9DMO\webserv\Cybersource\* xxxTargetConnector.java
Note that setting your operating system path variable has no impact on where Javac looks for dependent classes.

  • How to compile multiple RH projects in a single go ?

I have more than 100 Projects to be compiled. Is there any option in RH 8 to compile multiple projects in a single go.
    Please Help .

    Welcome to our community Neeroj
If all the projects are simply variants of a single project you open in RoboHelp, you could use the Batch Generate feature. But I'm very doubtful that's the case here.
I suppose you might investigate using the command line compile feature. Perhaps you could accomplish it that way.
Click this link to read about Command Line opertations
Or crack open the help system for RoboHelp and look at what it says about Command Line compiling.

  • How to compile all forms in a directoy at time?

Hi friends, thank for your replies for the previous questions.
    Now
How to compile all form modules located in a directory
at a time? usually what I know is opening form one by one
and compile it. But I want to compile all forms and create
    executable files at a time.
Is project Builder helpfule to achive this??
    thanks
    madhu

Yes, his file is useful -- it should run on Windows XP. You need to copy the above text into a file using a standard text editor, something like Notepad. To run it, you open a Cmd.exe DOS window on your pc, change directory (CD) to the folder where your forms are, and enter the command script file name.

  • Problems while compiling a project that uses Database Adapter

    Hi,
I am working on a small WebService that uses the Database Adapter to connect with the Oracle-Lite database. The process is a synchronous process which has client and DatabaseService as the partner link. The goal of this project is to get two inputs from the user and send it over to the DatabaseService for it to select the rows from the table based on the inputs sent. The process activity has an invoke function which had two varibles Invoke_1_inputVarible and Invoke_1_outputVarible. I have included the *.xds that contains the database schema. When I compile the project i get the following error
Error(38): [Error ORABPEL-10035]: wrong messageType [Description]: in line 38 of "D:\OraBPELPM_2\integration\jdev\jdev\mywork\Workspace1\Login\Login.bpel", messageType "{http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/db/ds/}EmployeeRole_msg" of variable "Invoke_1_dsSelect_InputVariable" does not match the expected messageType "{http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/db/ds/}dsSelect_inparameters" in <invoke>. [Potential fix]: make sure the correct variable is used in invoke.
My question is how do I assign correct messageType for the variables.

  • How to Compile Servlet Java Files

    hello ...
i am a beginner at JSPs and java servlets ... i have been searchin' hopelessly for the past couple of days. Could someone please guide me on how to compile source files for servlets ... namely how can i include the packages javax.servlet.* since the compiler gives me an error that there is no class name ... I am using jdk1.3
Do I need to get the java server development kit ... but i cant seem to find it any where on the sun's site ... and do i need to download the j2ee sdk too ...
As you can gather that i am completely comfused and lost ... After doing programmin with asps and previous java experience, i had thought that the migration to a java platform on would be a breeze but the lack of any solid documentation which addresses the above questions is dampenin my spirits ... and the cryptic documentation with tomcat doesnt help either. :)
pleaze reply soon ... i have to implement a project for my company ... otherwise i would have to put servlets and jsp back in the closet and return back to asp.

Try http://java.sun.com/j2ee/docs.html specifically, the links on that page called Download Instructions, Installation Instructions, Java Servlets Tutorial and JavaServer Pages QuickStart Guide
By the way, J2EE SDK's reference implementation is based on Tomcat itself but is more than a web container.

Change your directory to the directory above package1.
Assuming that you've got d:/projects/src/package1/abc.java you'd want to be in d:/projects/src.
Run javac referencing the abc class relatively:
d:\projects\src> javac package1/abc.javaThis should get you abc.class in the package1 directory.
    Hope this helps.

  • I can't compile any project...

    Hello,
I installed Alchemy correctly, but when I try too compile my project, I always get this error message :
I don't understand why, since llvm-stub.exe is in the same folder as llvm-ld.
I'm using Alchemy with Cygwin btw.
Thanks in advance for you help

I'm not to familiar with fmod, but it would look like from the web page that it's a library (in windows it would be a dll I asume) that you can make calls to.  If that's they case, Alchemy is not for you.
Alchemy does not do anything that you can't do in the FlashPlayer / Air runtimes.
Alchemy does not generate platform bytecode.
    Alchemy does generate FlashPlayer bytecode.
Alchemy does not get arround the FlashPlayer sandbox.
Alchmey let's you port C/C++ code and turn it into FlashPlayer bytecodes.
If you have the sourcecode for fmod and you wish to compile the sourcecode, you can, but you will NOT have direct access to the hardware, that goes against the principle of Flash security sandbox.
That said... there are future things comming up, which I unfortunately can't disclose, that might help you with that plan in the near future, but it sounds like you have the wrong concept of what Alchemy is.
Whatever problem is that you are having, it's in your setup.  There is no "magic", it works out of the box if you follow the steps properly, so if you did, then it might be something in your system that is causing the conflict.
    As an observation:
if you get a "The file exists" error when you are creating the symbolic link, then that's probably your problem.
As stupid as this sounds, make absolutely 100% sure that you DID remove the llvm-stub.exe file before you create the symbolic link again, and make sure that you are in the right directory when you do so.  You should NOT get "The file exists" error when creating the link.
BTW. that would have nothing to do with Alchemy, but more with cygwin.
You have no idea how many IT certified [InsertWhateverHere] experts have I told to check the basics, which they asure me they have, and when I go step by step, it turns out to be something basic.
Sometimes you are looking to blame something else, and miss the obvious.

  • How to run a project in java

    hi all
i am new to jdevelper and adf.
really i need help i created a project and now i want to run it
but i do not know how to run it
my jdeveloper 11g R1 and i also compile the project and its showing me successful compilation
    0-error and 0 warngs....
    plz guide me.

    First things first.
Do you know how to compile a simple hello word program, get it to compile, and run it in jbuilder? Do you know how to do other basic programming tasks (ignoring iADF for now) in the IDE? If not, you need to concentrate on how to use jbuilder before messing with Oracle ADF (Oracle Application Development Framework). Alternately, if you are very familiar with another IDE such as Eclipse, you can look at ADF plugins for it instead (if they exist). If you are not familiar with Java, its supporing technologies, and an IDE very well, I suggest you drop ADF and work on simpler architectures because ADF is way, way too advanced for you at this time. Instead, spend your time reading books on Java, etc from cover to cover and working through a number of their examples instead.
Assuming you are an experienced programmer and plan to go ahead with ADF, I suggest you go to amazon.com and order a book on ADF that has good reviews. Read it from cover to cover and work through a number of the book's examples. You should start out with a very very simple ADF project before attempting something more complicated, then build on it. If you are not familiar with some of the components of ADF such as JSF, I suggest you create a few simple projects using them in isolation before combining them all under ADF.
