I have to take each label from the resource bundle in my web application, so how to configure resource bundle in JSF and how to use it, so please help me.....

Follow the below mentioned steps ::
1) make a properties file say mymessages.properties alongwith your java files. Put content like
click=Click Me !!!
#where click is the key and Click Me !!! is the actual value that needs to be displayed
2) Add in faces-config.xml like this ::
<application>
          <message-bundle>mymessages.mymessages</message-bundle>
     </application>
3) Use in your jsp page like this ::

  • How to configure CustomLoginModule in jps-config.xml

    Hi,
    How can we configure a Custom Login Module using jps-config.xml, as we do not want to use weblogic custom authentication provider as it needs application jars(which we require fo authenticating the user) to be kept in weblogic classpath.
    Is there any documentation on how to configure and use Custom Login Modules in jps-config.xml, I tried to create a LoginModule and specify it in jps-config.xml, but

    Ours is not a Desktop Application, but we want to handle Authentication(Which authenticates the userid and password by making a Tuxedo call) and add the Principal to Subject in session, so that ADF Authorization and securityContext can be used as is,
    but doing this with Custom Authentication Provider in weblogic needs me to have a lot of Tuxedo Service related jars in weblogic/system classpath which i feel is not right thing to do, as the same jars are required in application also, which means i will have the jars in class path twice and i need to deploy the jars to both places everytime there is any change.
    Is there any way by which i can set Authenticated principal to Subject in the created session from within Application?

  • How to use resource bundle entries for column names/title in .rpt file

    <p>Our application needs to be able to support reporting in multiple languages. Hence we do not want to put language specifiec column names in the rpt file but rather use text for a particular locale during runtime which in java world is easily achievable using Resource Bundle entries.</p><p>Does JRC allow for using resource bundle entries as column names or for that matter for titles etc. in the .rpt file?</p>

    Hi,
       You can follow this step-by-step tutorial to find out how to achieve this using our User Function Libraries (UFLs). The walkthrough can be found here:

  • How To Change Resource Bundle file's data from Java Class

    Hi
    i have used below code for accessing Resource Bndle from Java Class but here i also want to make change in a particular key and its value.
    please let me know the code i should use to make changes in Resource Bundle file's key and value and saving the same in the file.
    package test;  import java.util.Enumeration;
    import java.util.ResourceBundle;
    public class ResourceBundleTest {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    ResourceBundle rb = ResourceBundle.getBundle("test.bundletest.mybundle");
    Enumeration <String> keys = rb.getKeys();
    while (keys.hasMoreElements()) {
    String key = keys.nextElement();
    String value = rb.getString(key);
    System.out.println(key + ": " + value);
    Thanks

    With further debugging, I noticed the following line only works in integrated WLS but not in standalone WLS
    resourceBundle = ResourceBundle.getBundle("com.myapp.MyMappings");
    I confirmed the corresponding properties file was included properly in the EAR file but the standalone WLS failed to find the properties file at runtime.
    Why did the standalone WLS class loader (must be the same as the integrated WLS) failed to find the properties file deployed under the WEB-INF/classes path in the EAR file?
    The above line was in a POJO class which has the same classpath as the properties file ie. com.myapp.MappingManager.class.
    It was strange that the class loader could load the POJO class but unable to find the com.myapp.MyMappings.properties in the same classpath!!!
    Is this a bug in standalone WLS?

    At least the port can be configured in one of the configuration files in the /conf directory of the application server. The exact details and procedure depends on the application server implementation. Read its documentations.

  • How to organize resource bundle

    Hi, I put all the properties file under WEB-INF/classes in wpl81. In i18n:localize tag I have bundleName="WEB-INF/classes/<bundle file>". During upgrade it's imported to /src directory. I saw some posting said to put under /WebContent. Or I should still keep them in /WEB-INF/classes? Which is the right place? Thanks!

    I ran into the same problem a few months ago and never found RaymondDeCampo's solution. Thank you RaymondDeCampo. In the end I just started to use the '_' character instead of the '.' character. I think I prefer this method.
    The example you gave would then become:
    <h:outputText value="#{bundle.index_welcomeMessage}" />I feel like this solution looks a bit cleaner.

    java.lang.Object com.evermind.naming.MapContext.lookup(java.lang.String) MapContext.java:49
    Please, I really need to know...

    Hi Marcelo,
    Obviously I can't speak for any one else on this forum -- but I'm not
    a mind reader. The lookup string you use depends on whether your queue
    client is also deployed to the OC4J container or not -- which you fail
    to mention (in fact you don't mention anything about your environment,
    this always helps -- me, at least :-)it's in the same machine (client and OC4J)
    Also, the type of InitialContext object you create also depends on your client type and how you deploy it.it'd the com.evermind.server.ApplicationClientInitialContextFactory
    So perhaps it would help you obtain an answer if you supplied the following:
    1. Platform (SUN, intel, etc.)Intel
    2. Operating system (UNIX, WinNT, linux, etc.)WinNT
    3. OC4J version (1.0.2.2.1?)R2
    4. Your JMS provider (OC4J, Swift, etc.)OC4J
    5. Your deployment descriptors (XML files).I really need to reference the QueueConnectionFactory and the QUeue itself int he application-client.xml file?

    Hi,
    Even i have a similar kind of requirement where in, i want to clear the JMS Queue Message programmatically, on certain condition.
    i am using Spring JMS. The JMS Queue has a listener. In the listener we want to clear the Queue contents based upon the condition.
    If anybody has any idea about this, please reply back.
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Portlet resource bundle

    Hi,
    I have written and deployed a portlet.
    which works very fine with the default language (english)
    I want to make the same portlet available in multiple languages, rather I want to provide internationalization over this.
    I have prepared a resource bundle to tackle the scene.
    I have few questions based on this -
    1. Where do I put this resource bundle file
    2. Will the portal server be able to pick the title of the portlet from the resource bundle.
    Any pointers to this will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Abhi

    Please check portal developer doc http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/817-7695 from p.83 to 85

    It would be great, if you could update the right parameter name in my log4.xml which appears below to display timestamp in my log file Master.log!

  • How to cache external resource bundles?

    Hi,
    I am using Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.4.0_GENERIC_101227.1736.5923 on Windows 7.
    We have used external resource bundle for our ADF application using loadbundle which extends java.util.ListResourceBundle.
    Is there any way to cache these external resource bundles? and If yes when/how it will get cached?
    We have found following link:
    http://www.orastudy.com/oradoc/selfstu/fusion/web.1111/b31974/appendixa.htm (Section: A.11 adf-config.xml)
    But not sure if it will help for external resource bundles.
    Any pointers will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Vishal

    Hi again.
    To achieve your requeriment you can try next solutions:
    - Add a external path where you are going to let your Resource Bundle in your Manage Server Classpath. For example: /language (into this folder put your baseName folder's and properties file).
    - Build your custom Java Class to load Resource Bundle in a configured classpath or path.
    - Try to do a similar solution like WebCenter Spaces copying your resource bundle in MDS path and updating/getting it with WSLT scripts.
    Regards.
