I am able to connect to admin console of Machine1 with this URL http://vakumarn12:7111/console.
My machine name is M1 and listener address is vakumarn12.
I have installed WL in machine2 and trying to connect admin server of machine1.
I have used connect() but still the same.
One more thing I am(Machine1) in VPN network and the system from which i am trying accessing admin server is in client location(Machine2).
In machine1 i have two network connections one is Ethernet adapter and other is PPP adapter - (Is this creating a problem)

Any ideas why this is not working or what 'Could not perform unpadding: invalid pad byte.' means?

Nope, that wasn't me and bless me if I'm wrong but I'm generating this error because I have a non-encrypted string where I need an encrypted string. By that I mean the following line 'CONFIGFILE = "/beadev/wls10/data/UserConfigInfo/configfile.secure" Has a non encrypted string '/beadev/wls10/data/UserConfigInfo/' concatenated to the encrypted file configfile.secure? I wonder if it would just be easier to 'cd' into the directory where the config files live and run the connect from there, either way I have something to go on, thanks for that link.

    Hi manohar,
Thank you, Pierluigi for encouraging Middleware Magic Team :)
manohar, apart from what *"Pierluigi"* has suggested, additionally please notice the following messsage in your StackTrace (whih is basically a NOTICE message but does not look good)
The loading of the trusted certificate list raised a certificate parsing exception PKIX: Unsupported OID in the AlgorithmIdentifier object:In your case it looks like the actual issue is your Certificate which comes by default with JDK. As mentioned in this BUG.
    http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6803022
Additionally please refer to the following Thread:
    http://forums.oracle.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=3958098#3958098
I am suspecting that you need to do the following in order to get rid of Certificate Errors which is the ROOT cause of your issue
Do the following: After taking a backup of *"$JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/security/cacerts"* file
    cd $JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/security
    cp -p cacerts cacerts.original
    chmod 644 cacerts
keytool -delete -alias ttelesecglobalrootclass2ca -keystore cacerts
keytool -delete -alias ttelesecglobalrootclass3ca -keystore cacertsAlso try with Node Manager Communication type as "*Plain*" because it looks like you are getting PKIX security certificate chain message, just to isolate the issue.

  • Startinig Admin Server in WLST

When starting an Admin server in WLST, the server process halts when I exit WLST, which i suppose should be expected when using a Unix shell. Any ideas on how I can start the server within WLST and keep the server running in the background?

    Hello,
I am not sure why your server is halting when you exit wlst, This should not happen. When you start a server via WLST, wlst starts the server in a new jvm that runs independent of wlst.
    Thanks,

    <server>
    <name>testServer_lab1</name>
    <listen-port>43000</listen-port>
    </server>
And if i do a clone through admin console, following is added to config.xml
    <server>
    <name>testServer2_lab1</name>
    <machine xsi:nil="true"></machine>
    <listen-port>7001</listen-port>
    <cluster xsi:nil="true"></cluster>
    <listen-address></listen-address>

    <cluster xsi:nil="true"></cluster>
    <listen-address></listen-address>
    <graceful-shutdown-timeout>120</graceful-shutdown-timeout>

    Hi,
Thanks for the reply. There was some problem with the input parameters to the automated activity. That error is resolved now.
I try to view the output of the automated activity, i.e, response of the web service call. I do an output mapping from the automated activity to a data object. But once I start the process and the automated activity executes, I could not see the output data in the context data in 'Operation Management --> Manage Processes'. The data object doesn't have any value.
The default trace doesn't have any error. I doubt if the web service is called at all!
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you.

  • How to Connect SQL Server enterprises Manager Version 8.0 with Form 6i

    Dear experts
I want to know that How can I connect SQL server Enterprise Manager Version 8.0 with Forms/reprots 6i.
currently I have oracle 9i database at server windows 2003 and I also connected with client (my PC) I work on server.
I also have SQL server in that server 2003 machine and this SQL Server also work with other clients that have VB program.
I want to know that can I connect with this SQL server with Form 6i?

You can't. The closest thing would be to create links in an oracle database to the SQL Server database using Heteregeneous Services and connect forms to the that.
This forum is for the SQLDeveloper tool. You will get more complete answers in the "Database General", or "Heterogeneous Services" forums

    Hi,
I am working in oracle9i and windows os 32 bit.
I need to connect SQL server 2000 from my oracle client..
I heard about heterogeneous connectivity ...
Please expalin me the steps what to add and how to connect the sql server...
    Regs....

Are you trying to connect to SQL Server from your Oracle database (i.e. create a database link in Oracle to SQL Server)? Or are you trying to connect to SQL Server using your Oracle client software (i.e. SQL*Plus)?
The former just requires Heterogeneous Services with Generic Connectivity. The latter is functionality that has been depricated and probably no longer works in your environment.
