How to connect to External Database, if say SQL server, from Adobe LC

Hi everyone,
I have one application, which needs to save and load data from/to an external database,SQL server.I have no idea on how to implement this.But with my knowledge I managed to create DSs and using new data connection wizard, some how I managed to list the fields in the Data View.BUT i still worrying about the way i did is rigt or wrong?.. how can i save and load data to sql server from Adobe LC..Please help me

You created the data source on the app server which is the first step. Now you can use the JDBC service to query the database:

EXEC and ENDEXEC are used to fetch data from databse using Native SQL;

These statements define an area in an ABAP program in which one or more Native SQL statements are to be carried out. The area between EXEC and ENDEXEC is not completely checked by the syntax check. The statements entered there are passed to the Native SQL interface and processed there as follows:
Almost all SQL statements that are valid for the addressed database system can be included between EXEC and ENDEXEC, in particular the DDL statements. These SQL statements are passed from the Native SQL interface to the database system largely unchanged. The syntax rules are specified by the database system, in particular the case sensitivity rules for database objects. If the syntax allows a separator character between individual statements, you can include several Native SQL statements between EXEC and ENDEXEC. sy-subrc Meaning
0 The statements between EXEC and ENDEXEC were executed successfully.
4 The statements between EXEC and ENDEXEC were not executed. After implicit cursor processing with PERFORMING, sy-subrc always contains the value 4.
The ENDEXEC statement sets sy-dbcnt to the number of table rows processed in the last Native SQL statement. After implicit cursor processing with PERFORMING, sy-dbcnt contains the total number of lines read.
Note
Programs with Native SQL statements are generally dependent on the database system used, so that they cannot be executed in all ABAP systems. This is especially true for the examples in this section, which was written for Informix database systems.

How to create a database link to SQL Server from a RAC environment

We have a 4 node RAC running 11.2.0.3 binaries on 64-bit linux.
Grid owns the listener named listener.
Oracle owns the database.

TNS-01201: Listener cannot find executable /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.3/dbhome_1/bin/InfoEdb10 for SID InfoEdb10
Listener failed to start. See the error message(s) above...
So! What I did was
1. Configure the odbc from the OS (only one node) and create the DSN and its odbc files. connectivity works from Operating Systems.
2. Create the listener entry (under GRID) user.
3. Create the remotedb.ora file under $ORACLE_HOME/hs/admin

Connect to SQL Server from Oracle

Does Oracle offer any connectivity to NON-Oracle databases such as SQL Server from within the Oracle database itself, similar to a database link ?

Yes, it's called Heterogeneous Connectivity. Basically how it works is you set up an ODBC data source on the Oracle server
and need to modify the tnsnames.ora and listener.ora files. Once you get it set up it works exactly like a dblink. You should be
able to find information on it in the Oracle manuals or from Metalink. There's also a Heterogenous Connectivity forum on OTN. If
you can't find anything let me know and I can send you some documents on how to set it up. I think the hardest part for you might
be finding a SQL Server ODBC driver for HP-UX.

Connection to external database

we have an requirement to connect SAP R/3 to external database which is oracle and java tool for data uploading.
One of our team abaper requested us to establish the connection.
When explored , i got some info on DB11 and DBCON table.
I created the connection with the DBM user control and SAP user SAPR3.
Please let me know how to test the connection further and details on connection to external database from BASIS point of view.

This is the LabVIEW Real-Time forum, so I suggest that in the future that you post this type of question to the Multifunction DAQ forum.
For the simplest solution you will have to connect your button to a digital line of your board, consult the sc-2345 user manual for a diagram of where these lines are exposed. You will have to connect your start button in series with a line that is high, such as your 5V pin or another digital line. Then connect this to a digital line that will be your start trigger.
Your program can poll the digital line that is connected to your button in a while loop and when it goes high, it lets the rest of the program execute. For the programming, I suggest you take a look at the shipping examples that come with LabVIEW. If yo

You need to create Java Bean model. The bean is a typical java bean with default constructor, getter and setter. You can have additional methods for query etc. The attributes in the class will be your model node and attributes.
However you need to configure the connection and create JNDI using visual administrator before writing the code.
You can also consider writing Session EJB with oracle and using them in WD.

I have installed visual basic 2010 express edition on windows xp. But visual basic 2010 express edition supports Microsoft sql server database file,Microsoft sql server compact 3.5, Microsoft access database file. I want to connect to oracle database from visual basic 2010 express edition. So what drivers are required and how to do connectivity?

I wasn't clear on what you were using to make the connection. I had a look in Visual Studio 2010 (don't have express to test sorry).
I think you mean the Data Sources available under the menu Data-> Datasources. this seems to match the description you give when I
look at the list of datasource options.
In here you can make ODBC connections via the Microsoft .net Data Provider .
If you select ODBC as a datasource you can see listed the DSN's you created - for example I see 2 which use the Oracle ODBC driver.
This assumes you installed an Oracle Client + the oracle version of the ODBC driver (comes with the oracle client).
Once you created a server connection then you should see it in the server explorer.
You can also download the Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio which is an add on for VS.
** I suspect this is only for VS 2010 and I didn't see that Express was supported.

Hi,
please suggest me how to connect to oracle10g Database using oracle11g Enterprise Manager.
i did setting in tnsnames.ora file of oracle11g database but when i am trying to connect sys@testvsr and password
using oracle11g Enterprise manager its not connecting but from command prompt its connecting.
its not acccepting hostname its simply telling invalid username and password ,if i remove and try to connect its connecting.
so please suggest its very urgent my manager is nagging.

you cant attach a database 10g instance with
Enterprise manager of 11g as enterprise manager is
meant for a single database only .. your problem cant be solved
enterprise manager it can be solved by using GRID CONTROL
