How to control background color of table cell in an html report?

I am using Labview 6.1 to generate a report. In that report there is a table created using the Append Numeric Table to Report VI. I want to be able to programmatically control the background color of each cell in the table. Also, how can I programmatically control the background color of the row and header cells of the same table. I am also generating a second table in the same report using the Append Text Table to Report VI and I would like to programmatically control the background colors of the cells in that table as well. Thanks.

Hi epsilon-d...,
i´m not sure if there is an ready to use function to do what you want, but you can enlarge the available function. Open the "Append Numeric Table to Report.vi" and go to the HTML Case. There you can see another vi which creates the html table. In the VI "HTML Report Table Row" you can add the option: bgcolor="your color" inside of the "TR" tag.
Hope it helps.

• How to change the background color of a cell in datagrid using flex3

i want to change the background color of a cell.....how can i achieve this.....and also i want to know how a spacing cane be done between cells in a datagrid...plzzz help me???

The only way I can see to do this is to use an item renderer for your cells. This is really scruffy and would need tyding up, and maybe with a little more time could do better or someone else may have an idea but none the less this works.
Define a custom component as below;
This has logic to see what the value of the data is proveided by the dataprovider for the row, and if it matches the conditions in this case is equal to 5 sets the background color.

<mx:Canvas xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" width="88" height="26" dataChange="doColor()" borderColor="#000000" borderStyle="solid"
backgroundAlpha="1">
<mx:Script>

private function doColor():void {
if (data.value == 5) {
setStyle('backgroundColor', 0xcccccc);
} else {
setStyle('backgroundColor', 0xffffff);

</mx:Script>
</mx:Canvas>
Now just apply the item renderer in the datagrid and that will do it.

<mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute"  xmlns:ns1="*">
<mx:Script>

import mx.collections.ArrayCollection;
[Bindable]
private var ac:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection([
{value : 1},
{value : 2},
{value : 3},
{value : 4},
{value : 5},
{value : 6},
{value : 7},
{value : 8},
{value : 9},
{value : 10}

</mx:Script>
<mx:DataGrid x="40" y="36" width="408" height="193" dataProvider="{ac}">
<mx:columns>
<mx:DataGridColumn headerText="Column 1" dataField="value" itemRenderer="MyComp"/>
<mx:DataGridColumn headerText="Column 2" dataField="col2"/>
<mx:DataGridColumn headerText="Column 3" dataField="col3"/>
</mx:columns>
</mx:DataGrid>
</mx:Application>
I hope this helps

• How to set background color in af:inputText in an af:table

Hi,
how to set background color in af:inputText in an af:table depending on the value of af:inputText.
For example, how to set background red if the af:inpuText is empty
Thanks

Hello Pavo,
it's also possible to take the code from ebitar and use the expression within styleClass instead of inlineStyle.
E.g. you can define a custom style "StyleClassEmptyText" in your skin and set this styleclass if af:inputtext is empty.
By using style classes you can have the same style in the whole application and you are able to change this style on a single point(in the styleclass) for the whole application.

How to get background color of controls ?
When we use AWT/Swing,

It is regret that I can not find any method for such a method in JavaFX.
And how do we detect the change of background color of controls ?

btn.setText("change background");
btn.setOnAction(new EventHandler<ActionEvent>() {
@Override

• How can i control background colors with items (registry.dat)

Hello Evry one.....
plzzzzzzzzz help.
how can i control background colors with display items
in registry.dat
like app.ui.requiredFieldvABGCOLOR=255.0.0
how can i control background colors with others items ????
thanks.

The iPhone has a "remote" app that lets you control Keynote on a Mac, but not on another iOS device (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch).
There are some apps that let you control limited content on another iOS device - but the content has to be within the app. You might check out SyncPad - perhaps you can import the presentation into it and then control it on the iPad.

• Change the background color of a cell in JTable

Hi all,
How can I change the background color of individual cell in JTable. I need to construct my own TableCellRenderer or not? I'm now using the DefaultTableCellRenderer now.
Thx

You could create your own renderer or you could try something like:
table = new JTable(model)
public TableCellRenderer getCellRenderer(int row, int column)
DefaultTableCellRenderer tcr =
(DefaultTableCellRenderer)super.getCellRenderer(row, column);
if (row == 1 && column == 1)
tcr.setBackground(Color.green);
else
tcr.setBackground(Color.red);
return tcr;
};

• Need Help with giving Colors to Table Cells and Table Borders in Dreamweaver CC - Please!

Hi,
I am a teacher and use Dreamweaver CC to make my class web page.
How do I give colors to the cell borders of a table I inserted? How do I give colors and line thickness
to table borders, too?
I bought the David Powers DVD and it doesn't show that.
Please help.
Thank you,
John

Assuming that you have placed a table in your document and your CSS Designer panel is open
1. Click the '+' sign
2. Choose your option. I will choose 'Define in Page'
3. Follow the above sequence, 1.click on table, 2.ensure table is selected, 3.click on style, 4.click the '+' sign, 5. see the selector appear.
4. Click on the selector and choose the required Properties.
You can do the same for the row (
) or a cell (
). In fact, this is how you would go about styling anything in your document.

BEGIN
v_args     := ole2.create_arglist;

ole2.add_arg(v_args, p_col);
v_cell     := ole2.get_obj_property(v_worksheet, 'cells', v_args);
v_font     := ole2.get_obj_property(v_cell, 'font');
ole2.set_property(v_font, 'fontstyle', 'bold');
ole2.set_property(v_font, 'size', 9);
ole2.destroy_arglist(v_args);

ole2.set_property(v_border, 'LineStyle', 1);
ole2.release_obj(v_border);
End If;
if p_bgcolor ='Y' THEN
v_bgcolor := ole2.get_obj_property(v_cell,'Bgcolor'); --This is not woking
ole2.set_property(v_bgcolor,'bgcolor','red');
ole2.release_obj(v_bgcolor);
End If;
ole2.set_property(v_cell, 'value', p_value);
ole2.release_obj(v_cell);
END set_header;
Pls tell me how to change the backcolor and forecolor in the cell...
Thanks

The background color is set for the "Interior" object of the selected cells (Range).
Try something like this (haven't tested it):
v_interior := ole2.get_obj_property(v_cell,'Interior');
ole2.set_property(v_interior,'ColorIndex',3); --should be red
ole2.release_obj(v_interior);
If the Foreground color = Font Color then
ole2.set_property(v_font,'ColorIndex',6); --should be yellow

You would use a custom renderer.

• How to add background color in JFrame

I have three classes, Car, CarComponent, and CarViewer. I don't know how to code background color. Do I add it to CarViewer where the JFrame is or CarComponent?
CarViewer:
import javax.swing.JFrame;
public class CarViewer
public static void main(String[] args)
JFrame frame = new JFrame();
frame.setSize(300, 400);
frame.setTitle("Two cars");
frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
CarComponent component = new CarComponent();
frame.add(component);
frame.setVisible(true);
}CarComponent
import java.awt.Graphics;
import java.awt.Graphics2D;
import javax.swing.JComponent;
This component draws two car shapes.
public class CarComponent extends JComponent
public void paintComponent(Graphics g)
Graphics2D g2 = (Graphics2D) g;
Car car1 = new Car(0, 0);
int x = getWidth() - 60;
int y = getHeight() - 30;
Car car2 = new Car(x, y);
car1.draw(g2);
car2.draw(g2);
}

What JSG said, plus I really don't think it's a good idea to instantiate new Car objects in a paintComponent override. Painting methods should be restricted to painting activities, as a matter of principle.
One alternative is to construct your Car instances in a separate method and call repaint() when done; another is to provide a Car method say moveTo(int x, int y) OR refactor the draw(Graphics g) method of Car to draw(Graphics g, int x, int y). Both these suggest that you maintain the Car references as instance fields of CarViewer.
In future (not this time), Swing related questions should be posted in the [Swing forum|http://forums.sun.com/forum.jspa?forumID=57]
