How to convert a dxf file to xml fifle with CAD.xsd

Hello~
I have generated a test vi by motion asistant, but I found that the VI can only input with xml format file.
My CAD files are all dxf format for kinds of models.
Therefore, I have to write a VI to convert dxf to xml.
How can I do that?Can anyone give me some suggestions?
I have searched forum and found Labview creates the xml file comply with CAD.xsd shema, but I don't know how to use that shema.

According to the following document, it seems there must be some specific conversion done by motion assistant when generating LabVIEW code, in order to parse the DXF file into a XML which complies with a specific schema.

I believe that Ann must have made some effort to study both file formats and to build a vi doing this conversion, yet I think this would so far be the best chance we can have.
The DXF file information is provided in the Ann's latest post, and the XML schema is located in the <Motion Assistant>\bin\mxwPlugins\XMLSchema\CAD.xsd.

PeopleCode to "Save As" - convert an excel file to XML file

All,
Is there any way to convert an excel file to XML file via PeopleCode? I can manually "Save As" an excel file to be an XML file, but is there anyway of doing it via PeopleCode? I guess it would be a little possible via VBScript, but since by App server resides on a Unix box, that would not work.
Any help would be really appreciated.

The attached zip file contains several VI's to read and write directly to Excel using ActiveX. There are several example VI showing how to use everything. This set is saved in LabVIEW 6.0.2.
I suggest you unzip these to your user.lib directory so you'll be able to easily access them from the functions palette.
I have not actually used these, but others that have say they have worked well for them.

I need to write a interface program in the R/3 to pull the flat file data from the unix application server and do some manipulation and place back into the unix application server in XML format, From the unix box XML file taken by the XI server.
pls give me some idea to convert the flat file to XML format, through any function module or any other logic is there...

first you have to decide how the flat file will map to xml. Will you use attributes or pcdata for your fields, or both? Will there be a hierarchy, or will it be mostly flat?
Once decided, you'd probably just use a BufferedReader to read the lines one at a time, and generate Dom nodes as appropriate, and stick them in the tree.

Although i have seen a few programs (that are platform specific) that will embed a small jvm into an exe with your class file, it is generally excepted that you cannot create an executable file using java. The JAR executable file is probably the closest your going to get

OP isn't using Oracle 12c database.
They are using Oracle R12.1.3 - which is the E- Business Suite.

I wanted to know can we use XSLT Mapping to convert u201C.CSVu201D file into XML Structure.
I am communicating between two XI Systems. First XI system is going to give u201C.CSVu201D file as main document. I need to post IDOC Corresponding to this. So what I want to do is read this u201C.CSVu201D file (Main document in payload) and first convet it into XML and then use second mapping which will convert XML to IDOC.
I know this is possible with JAVA Mapping but just wanted to confirm can we do this with XSLT mapping as well?

I tried to convert a pdf file into word but it is not fully editable. I can edit the title from the main page and that's it. The rest of the word document is saved as image. I tried editing teh pdf file but that one is not working either.

Not all PDF files are created equal. When a PDF file is created with Adobe Tools it is usually "tagged" with information about the fonts the images, the layout etc... This way when the PDF is saved to a new format like PPT or DOC then the results are usually usable. However, if you have a PDF file that was not tagged for some reason then run the Accessibility tools on the PDF to acquire some basic tagging. This may get you a better result. Also if you have a PDF that is an image, then you may want to run OCR on it.

The question is not easy to respond. The easy way is to use the excel program itself! You can read the contents of an excel file using jdbc. Have a look at javaworld for an introduction (�It�s Excel-lent�). Another approach is to use a native library like JExcelApi. Have a look at http://www.andykhan.com/jexcelapi/index.html
