How to convert a .jar file to a .sda
Hi,
I have a login module which is created in the form of .jar file. I was deploying this login module using the Deploy tool(deploy.bat).
Now I am looking for deploying my login module using the SDM, which happens to be the recommended mode with NW04.
I have two questions related to creation of SDA, for which I am looking for urgent help:
1. How can I create a .sda file from the .jar file? I do not want to create the .sda file directly from the codebase as I already have the command line build process setup to create a jar file from the codebase
2. How can step1 be accomplished from command line?
Appreciate if someone can help me out. I searched at many places but could not find anything related to this conversion.
Thanks,
Vishal.

How do you convert a jar file into a java file, ?
how do you convert a jar file into a java file ?
I am new to Java ,but have a little experience in C++ and Visual Basic.
I want to edit and maybe create my own mobile games that are written or converted into jar files.
At the moment I am using Java NetBeans , and Easy Java( the java pad).
However the only solution I tried was to open the JAR file in winrar and see that its made up of png picture files,
midi music files and class files. Unfortunately when I uncompressed the JAR file , there was NO java file to be seen and the JAVA editors Do not show the class file like a Java file. So why is there no extension Java file in the mobile JAR game ?801283 wrote:

Are you saying you want to take existing games and modify them? If the creators allow you to modify their source, then they'll provide you with that source (the .java files). If you're allowed to add things but not modify, you don't need .java files. Just documentation, which, again, the creators should be providing.
Or are you saying you want to create your own games and distribute them in jar files? If so, there's no need to turn jars into .java.

How to convert the javasource file(*.class) to execute file(*.exe)?
thank you!Although i have seen a few programs (that are platform specific) that will embed a small jvm into an exe with your class file, it is generally excepted that you cannot create an executable file using java. The JAR executable file is probably the closest your going to get

How to load a Jar file in the class path?
How to load a Jar file which contains class files, images, etc.. in the classpath without using URLClassLoader.
You don't "load" jars. If it's on the classpath, you can obtain individual resources from it using various methods on either Class or ClassLoader. Do you mean "how to add a jar to the classpath at runtime"? Can't be done without using a classloader, typically URLClassLoader or a subclass thereof. Why you want to not use the proven method is beyond me. Presumably because you don't understand classloading. In which case, forget it.

How to convert a class file to exe file and how to cteate a class file to d
how to convert a class file to exe file
Hi Bhaskarq,
Hi,
It is not at all possible.
But it is a really worst method.
Please go through it.
This is a very common question asked in the comp.lang.java newsgroup. Its often useful to have an
executable application when deploying your
applications to a specific platform, but remember to
make your .class files available for users running
Unix/Macintosh/other platforms.
Microsoft provide a free system development kit (SDK),
for Java, which includes the jexegen tool. This
will convert class files into a .EXE form. The only
disadvantage is that users need a Microsoft Java
Virtual Machine (JVM) installed. If your target
platform is Win32, you can either redistribute the
virtual
machine, or raise the level of your system
requirements, to include Windows 98, or Windows 95
with
Internet Explorer 4. Systems matching these
requirements will already have a copy of the Microsoft
Java Virtual Machine installed.
Note : You must specify all of the class files your
application needs (except for standard java packges)
as a parameter, so if you have third party libraries,
you'll need to include them as well. You can use wildcards * though, and you don't need the original source code.
Also please see this Forum which will give a good idea

I hope this will help you.

How to make a jar file downloadable with IE
hello,
I just bought a website:
http://www.frozenfountain.net/
and I put a jar file on it called Logo.jar
Using Mozilla, the jar file downloads as expected, but with Internet Explorer, it tries to download it as .zip file.
How do I get it to download as a .jar file with IE?
thanksJust post a link to the Jar. Mozilla will download
it as a jar. Windows will download it as a zip.
Only one link. No problem, really. ;-)There is a problem. People who arent as good with computers as you are won't know how to run the jar file after downloading with IE.
At school, I told someone to download the file, which they did with IE. It downloaded to desktop as a zip. They extracted and were left with a bunch of .class files.
