i.e. (when comparing BKPF-budat with TCURR-gdatu in where condition of a Select query its giving syntax error "when you use the addition 'fOR ALL ENTRIES IN itab' the fields gdatu and it_bkpf-budat" must have the same type and the same length. its very urgent...

data : year(4),
mon(2),
day(2).
in itab declare field cbudat(8) type c.
loop at itab.
year = itab-budat(4).
mon = itab-budat+4(2).
day = itab-budat+6(2).
concatenate year mon day into itab-cbudat.
modify itab.
endloop.
now use select for all entries and check gdatu = itab-cbudat.

We donot have any option for skipping the PSA loading in BI7.
If you are working with BW3.5, then yes we can load the data directly without using PSA. Goto IP>Processing Tab> Select the radio button Data Targets only--> When you schedule the IP, data will be directly loaded to Data Target without using PSA.

Hi Nalini,
Delimiting leading zeros in fields has to be done via conversion routines, as suggested by Vadamalai you need to pass on the conversion routine name in you field catalog variable.
Now as to which object oriented approach are you using to have your table contents display in ALV as it matters -
Using FACTORY method of CL_SALV_TABLE class, or
Using SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY method of CL_GUI_ALV_GRID class.
Using FACTORY method of CL_SALV_TABLE will do your own work, no need to apply any conversion routines or set long/medium/short text for columns as we do in field catalogs!

How to "kill" AWT Event Queue thread without using System.exit()?

When I run my program and the first GUI window is displayed a new thread is created - "AWT-Event Queue". When my program finishes, this thread stays alive and I think it causes some problems I have experienced lately.
Is there any possibility to "kill" this thread without using System.exit() (I can't use it for some specific reasons)

All threads are kept alive by the JVM session. When you use System.exit(int) you kill the current session, thus killing all threads. I'm not sure, though...
What you could do, to make sure all threads die, is to make ever thread you start member of a thread group. When you want to exit you app, you kill all the threads in the thread group before exit.
A small example:
//Should be declared somewhere
static ThreadGroup threadGroup = new ThreadGroup("My ThreadGroup");
class MyClass extends Thread {
super(threadGroup, "MyThread");

       Every time i am fetching data based on (customer,status) fields and displaying these data in my output using alv
       (every time i am fetching single row data ),
       But problem is alv occupying more space in the output , i want to display data part only i dont want field names,
       settings and header data etc..things.

Does you mean that you need ALV without default Function Toolbar...? If this is the case, the easy solution would have been to use Table Element rather. But, if you need to use ALV only without Function Toolbar, you can do away with that as well.
In that case, after calling GET_MODEL, you need to add few more lines of codes to achieve your goal. Those lines are --

Here as you can easily notice that LV_VALUE is instantiated on CL_SALV_WD_CONFIG_TABLE. Now, using this LV_VALUE, you set standard functions as False to dis-allow their display.

You need the password if it is iCloud locked you won't be able to activate the phone for use.

now i just want to show in report as 31.
I just known if we just want to show month only, we could use the 0CALMONTH2. but how if i need the day only?
Are there any way, either in query (BEx) or modeling (Routine/Formula in Update Rules or Transfer Rules) which could fulfill the requirement?

How to Convert Date to Month in Database which is pointing to EBS, Not DWH.

We are planning to create reports in OBIEE and the Source is EBS. That means, we don’t want to depends on Datawarehouse and Informatica and OBIApps. We just create some reports and they are pointing to EBS database.
For testing purpose, we have taken one HR Report and it containsthe below columns:
Month (Dim)
Revenue Per Employee Headcount (Fact)
Average Cost per Active Workforce Headcount (Fact)
In my little investigation, we found that Revenue column is coming from EBS: GL_BALANCES. And we configured W_Day_D base table in DAC as there is no Month column in EBS (Not sure).
*** Coming to my problem, how can I call Month column in my database pointed to EBS. How to convert Date to Month in my database.
I could be wrong but anyone please look into this issue.. How can I create columns for that exact OBI report in EBS database instead of DwH.

You are right. Here, no need of using W_DAY_D table, but, we need all the stuff from the table and to explain my problem i have taken that table as an example. Now, we ran scripts for W_MONTH_D and W_DAY_D tables with EBS columns. So, we are getting data for the tables. In the same manner we have to create scripts for the below tables.
W_GL_ACCOUNT_D
W_GL_OTHER_F
W_STATUS_D
W_MCAL_DAY_D
W_EMPLOYMENT_STAT_CAT_D
W_WRKFC_BAL_A
W_DAY_D (Completed)
W_MONTH_D (Completed)
But, we are not aware of EBS Tables and their columns much. So, we are back tracing from RpD --> DAC --> Info --> EBS for each and every column and its taking much time.
So, if anyone of you facing the same issue, please share the EBS tables for the corresponding OBI tables, which are mentioned above.

We are using continuous days for working out due date from document date.
But for discount due date business sought to provide only working days (say 7 days) from document date.
So as to satisfy this requirement, I had adopted event R436 where system intially takes values provided but somehow it gets cleared in below lines. So I am unable to find a workaround to resolve this issue.
