How to convert Excel to vCard?

I have 5000 contacts stored in Excel sheet and I am using Office 2010. It’s such a cumbersome task to copy each contact in Gmail for bulk emailing. Is there any online tool available through which I can convert all these contacts into single VCF file?
Any help would be appreciable…

At present time, Excel to vCard converter software is available in the market to import contacts list from an MS Excel (from 2003 to 2010) XLSX and XLS file to VCF file format. Even more, if you have CSV file and want to export all contacts in the vCard contacts folder, and then also use Excel to vCard converter software. This software can import contacts from XLSX, XLS and CSV file to VCF file easily.

We have a requirement where in we have a smartform output (OTF data) converted into PDF, and an excel sheet, both being sent as email attachments.
Now, we need to send the content of both the attachments as FAX.
Since smartform output was OTF convertible, FAX was being sent using 'CONVERT_OTF_AND_FAX' FM.
Can you let me know, if there is a possible way for manipulating the data that is converted to EXCEL, as OTF, and then FAX it?
Or else, please suggest me an alternative way to FAX normal data (other than using 'CONVERT_OTF_AND_FAX').

Depends on how your excel document looks like and what you wish to accomplish.
First, save the excel file as a tab or comma separated file.
Create a program that reads the lines of the file, and just print the cell content into the right xml tags.
E.g.
Street Name
Main st 3 Wild Bill
Main st 2 Crazy Bill
could be translated into an xml:
<Adress>
<Street>Main st 3</Street>
<Name>Wild Bill</Name>
</Adress>
<Adress>
<Street>Main st 2</Street>
<Name>Crazy Bill</Name>

anyone know how to convert excel spreadsheets to an rdf document? i know there are programs that do it but i would like to write my own! cheers.

1. You need to know how to read an Excel sheet.you can use the Jakarta POI library to read and write MS Excel file.

Dear All,
Has anyone experience convert excel to binary ?
For example, I have an excel file in my PC then I would like to set it as attachment in mail using CL_DOCUMENT_BCS. Attachment in this class only have two version, as text or as hexadecimal.
In order to create hexadecimal content I need a binary format, i will use function SCMS_BINARY_TO_XSTRING.
The problem is, how to convert excel to binary format.

you can send a file as an exel attachment in mail,
step 1:
   send file data to an internal table.
step 2:
   loop through the internal table(itab).
    concatinate itab-field1
                      abap_char_utilities=>horizontal tab

check the FM and creat the internal table types
by this way you can send excel as an attachment
but problem in sending EXCEL attachment is if the data crosses the limit of excle file the file will not open.

The question is not easy to respond. The easy way is to use the excel program itself! You can read the contents of an excel file using jdbc. AcrobatX1 Trial How to Convert part of PDF to Excel

I was trying to convert part of a PDF to Excel sheet so I downloaded Acrobat x1,but found out to my wasted time that the trial version will not do so! I contacted Microsoft support & spoke to a lady and she tried to help but assured me that it will not do this.
Today I get an advertisement from Adobe's Project Manager showing me just how to convert to Excel!,yet when I try again the trial version still will not convert part of my PDF to Excel!
Has anyone got any advise how I can convert part of this PDF to Excel?

If you only want to convert certain pages, use Extract Pages to make a new document containing only the pages you want. Then Save As Excel. Don't expect miracles, Acrobat has to use guesswork to estimate where your grid is.

Don't use SSIS to convert. Use SSIS to FTP the files out.
How you convert to PDF: the format is owned by Adobe so there might be royalties involved, but there are paid and free (OSS) libraries to doing so. Just search online.
