How to convert localization strings returned from RIDC calls?

I'm using the RIDC API to extract some data from UCM, but I'm running into issues where some values returned from service calls are the actual localization strings ("wwDocTypeDesc_Application" for example), not their translated values.
Is there a service or method I can use to translate the strings? Something that evaluates IdocScript perhaps?

looks like customization is the way forward from here. Just create a custom service, call your default ucm service from withing and before you pass on results fetch the required variable and send back.

In your post you ask how to convert a string value to a date. The value returned from the Get-AdUser is already a date. It does not need to be converted.
Bill has sshown one way to convert a date to a string and there are other methods. You need to clarify your question.
If you are really trying ot convert strings to dates then you can start with this:
[datetime]'01/21/1965 13:33:23'
Most date strings aer autodetected by the class.

How to convert a String to an Icon

Hello,
I'm trying to figure out how to convert a String (specifically one letter) to an Icon for a JTree. The program I am working on uses .png files for the icons at the moment, with each .png being a single uppercase letter. However, recent discussion has us wanting to change to something more dynamic, since we anticipate needing new letters in the near future.
My task is to modify the current codebase so that the Icons used to identify nodes in the tree are created from a Font within code, rather than reading in .png files. I have done some experimenting with creating a Label with just that String, setting the font and trying to extract the image using calls like createImage(int width, int height) and so on, but so far to no avail.
If I could figure out how to at least convert the String to an image, I could probably make it work (since I can play around with creating an ImageIcon with that image). Thanks in advance for any help.

The x,y values passed into paintIcon are the upper-left hand corner of the icon,

RDLC Reports with Custom Font - Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component.

I got an ASP.NET MVC (Razor View Engine and C#) application running on a Windows Azure Web Role.
I use RDLC local reports to create pdf files with printable price tags with respective barcodes.
I got it working on Azure after installing the barcode font (TrueType) using a start-up task. Recently, it stopped working without me changing anything related to this functionality.
I'm getting the following error and so far I didn't find any solution. I know the problem is the barcode font because the pdf is generated well with a standard font like Arial. Also, it works perfectly with barcodes when running the app
locally on my computer.

It seems that the error may have more than one possibilities. I recommend you could try to use the Azure remote debugger to debug your cloud service project on Azure instance. Please see this tutorials:

You could debug your code using the cloud service URL.

Ssis error: hresult e_fail has been returned from a call to a com component

I am using VS 2013 (BIDS) to develop SSIS packages. It is running on a windows 2012 server.
I have a dev server on which when i try to load an SSIS project using the solution file i get a bunch of errors, and then visual studio just closes. The error is:
hresult e_fail has been returned from a call to a com component
If i copy the project to another machine it works fine.
If i open VS first, and then open the project using the proj file, it seems to work.
Any ideas what might be causing this error? I can work for now, but am worried my project may be corrupted in some way so dont want to do too much work on it.

It might be a corruption so a re-install is desired. But
Use SSDT (VS2010 shell) that came with the SQL Server installation media to edit SSIS 2012 packages.

This error message comes up with a user in InfoView attempts to modify/update a parameter when scheduling a report. This is not isolated to one particular report and occurs on a sporadic basis. Sometimes the user is able to successfully update the parameter with no error. Other times this error message occurs.
Has anyone seen this before and have any thoughts?

I am using SQL Server 2008. Whenever I opened SQL Server 2000 DTS packages designer from BIDS2008 I am getting the below error.

Are you sure Field1, Field2, Field4 and Field5 contain a number information in all rows?
If there is a non numeric String in your Field<x> columns in any row the error will occor.

How to convert a string-xml placed inside an xml tag to xml format.

I have a invoke activity to invoke Web service(code snippet from bpel) .The text in bold is a string that gets formed based on some condition using concat inside while loop .Before calling the WS i need to convert this string into xml

How to convert hex string to time stamp?

Hello everyone..
I am currently working on a project in which I have to read the data from a unit and display that data using LabVIEW. I am using serial communication for reading the data. The read data is in hex format.
Now, I want to convert this hex string to a time stamp value. I am reading total 16 bytes. How to convert this hex data to a time stamp value. I have developed a VI. But I want to know that the displayed time stamp is correct or not? Or suggest me some other solution.
I am using LabVIEW 2011.

How to convert LV Vi's from LV 7.0 to higher versions or viceversa.I need the steps.

For example i have labview 7.0 and i wan to open in LV 8.0 or still higher..so how to convert my VIs to higher versions or vice versa..I need the steps to convert.

If you want to convert a vi written in LV 7.0 to a higher version (say 8.5) open the vi written in 7.0 with 8.5 and then save the same. (once you save it to 8.5, you can not open it with 7.0 since 8.5 is higher than 7.0. So male sure to back up your 7.0 version files)
Now to convert a vi from 8.5 to 7.0 (for example) it gets a litle complicated becase you have load the vi in LV8.5 and then select the option File-->Save for Previous version and select the appropriate option (like 8.2, 8.0 or any other that gets populated in the drop down menu).
Now say that you have selected the option 8.0, Again the vi saved in 8.0 and follow the same procedure to save it to 7.0 version of labVIEW.
The reason i said it gets complicated becasue you must have installed all the version of labVIEW (in the above case its LV 8.0) for a sucessful downgrade.
