How to convert Pack-decimal values?

I have one itab1 with field
Rate DEC 20,5
Another Itab2 with field
Rate DEC 18,9
i am doing...
itab2-rate = itab1-rate
but it is not let me doing my value to second table . how?
How it can be done?

it's not printing anything 'wrong'.
0 in binary is 0
1 in binary is 1
All it's doing is cutting off leading zeros since they don't change the value.
1 is the same as 01 is the same as 00000001...no difference
Similarly, when you print decimal 3 as 11, it could just as easily say 00000011 and be correct, since the zeros don't change anything.

In your post you ask how to convert a string value to a date. The value returned from the Get-AdUser is already a date. It does not need to be converted.
Bill has sshown one way to convert a date to a string and there are other methods. You need to clarify your question.
If you are really trying ot convert strings to dates then you can start with this:
[datetime]'01/21/1965 13:33:23'
Most date strings aer autodetected by the class.

Parsing a packed decimal value

I am doing an extraction of BKPF and my ETL process is failing because the data which is being returned via RFC_READ_TABLE for KURS2 is '0.1234-'
When I go in to SE16 and look at that record, the displayed field value (based on localisation to F) is: '/0,1234'.
KURS2 has a datatype of P. Its values also should be always unsigned (since a negative currency conversion rate doesn't make any sense). Are signed values in P fields which come out of RFC_READ_TABLE have the - sign at the end (like a BCD?) or is it returning that because the RFC is misparsing the '/' in the actual field? And why would the UI allow someone to enter such a value? (I understand that it looks like whoever entered it wanted something to divide WRBT* by KURS2 to get DMBT2 or whatever, but that seems strange to me).

How do you store the "PACKED DECIMAL" in Oracle?
Do you use one of the following data types:
NUMBER(n,n)
DECIMAL(n,n)?
or
is it mainframe data that is represented in PACKED DECIMAL format that you've loaded into Oracle via SQL Loader.

as u r importing RFC model all the datatypes in java side corresponding to r/3 are also created .
see in the dictonary of ur project .simple and structure type are created and u can use it.
and u r storing the data in some model node so when u r using table control rightclick on table and select structure binding it will display the context in ur view and from there u can select the attributes u want to display.
if u r copying data of modelnode to value node u can also select structure binding option in wizard which set the datatype for the attributes .

How can I convert HEX value to CHAR value.
The Code in non Unicode system is:
DATA: t_text LIKE tline OCCURS 0 WITH HEADER LINE.
constants: c_hex_20a5(2) TYPE x VALUE '20A5'.
t_text-tdline = 'seller of the item so listed. A legend of the Seller Code(s) is as'.
 TRANSLATE t_text-tdline USING c_hex_20a5.
The same code give error in Uni-Code system:
error is "c_hex_20a5 must be an character type object (C, N, D, T or String type)."
If anyone know, what is the solution, please let me know.

Hi,
Try declaring the Hex chars using the ABAP char utilities. This is just a sample piece of code on how to declare and use:
CLASS cl_abap_char_utilities DEFINITION LOAD.
DATA: ws_lf TYPE c VALUE cl_abap_char_utilities=>cr_lf.
data: c_newline TYPE x VALUE '0D'. [ it is zero D, for carriage return ]
ws_lf = c_newline.
 CONCATENATE it_tab-maktx
 ws_lf
 ws_template
 INTO it_notificatn-template.

How to convert a measure value to null when the actual measure value is 0

Hello Gurus,
I have year, products, measure 1, measure 2, measure 3. I am added three products into one category by using bin in the analysis i am getting zeros for some of the measure cells when it should be null values, because the actual measure values are null for indivudual product. How can i convert that 0's to null. Please advise.

To answer your immediate question, you can write this:
CASE WHEN table.column = 0 THEN NULL ELSE table.column END
Remember though, that any aggregations done on a record that is NULL will not yield a sum. That is why the usual case is to convert NULLs to 0s. But that may not be a concern for what you are doing. Good luck!

This question is not clear at all.
"Fractional decimal" is not a data type, but a way of formatting in readable form using numeric characters and a decimal separator.
Same to "hex number", but only for integers.
What do you mean by "convert"? Do you want to keep the value the same or retain the bit pattern of the numeric data type?
Hexadecimal is for integers. Are you talking about fixed point?
We clearly need significantly more information. What are the input and output data types? What are you actually trying to do?
Do you have an example input and corresponding output?
