Hello,
Could you please list which options you are selecting when building a
source distribution (I am assuming you are using LabVIEW 8.0?).
Do you get this error when clicking on "Generate Preview" button when configuring source distribution properties?
Under "Distribution Settings" category, could you try checking the
"Disconnect type definitions and remove unuses polymorphic VI
instances" option and see if that helps with the build process?
Also I suggest Mass Compiling your VIs (Tools -> Advanced -> Mass Compile) before creating a source distribution.
If these do not help, could you attach your project with all the VIs it contains here?

Does anyone know how to copy my files from my ipod to a different computer? I tried to do it, but all that it did was erase my files. What i want to to is use my ipod to transfer my files to another computer (which has itunes as well) PLEASE help!

You will need to enable your iPod for disk use. Then, you should see your iPod in "My Computer" and you can open up your iPod's folder there and drag the files into it. You can store the files on the iPod, then connect it to the other computer and drag-and-drop them from the iPod into the designated directory in that computer. Make sure individual files are not larger than 4 GB.

i've just installed linux. trying to install packages

so that i can install xkfe offline as no internet connection at the mo. i have the packages on cd. put it into the linux desktop.
now just stumped onto how to copy from the cdrom drive to the destinations. im not sure where exactly to find the cdrom in the first place.
so if someone can help me with the phrase to put in to do the copy so that i can then run pacman and install these and an environment.

Your cd drive might be /dev/sr0 or /dev/sr1 or /dev/cdrom or something, you would make a folder in /mnt or /media with mkdir and mount it there via mount /dev/whatever /mnt/whatever. You just cd /mnt/whatever and then use cp on files to move them over wherever you want. "cd" = change directory.
I don't mean to be rude, but there aren't many people who can (or should try to) pull off using Arch as their first linux distribution. It is intended for people who are already well aware of what they are doing. Perhaps you should start with Ubuntu, Fedora, Suse, Mandriva, or something of the sort. Ubuntu being the most popular choice, for whatever that means..
That said, there are many on the forums who started here first and are doing fine, so "shrug". It's really about attitude, willingness to work for it (looking thoroughly for your answers before asking, especially), and willingness to learn really. Just a word of advice..
On that note, mounting cd's I'm sure is written all over google, and these forums tend to either ignore or bitch at people who haven't already looked for their question thoroughly on such, with good reason.
Also, please see the forum etiquette http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Forum_Etiquette here. It's not okay to bump your posts so quickly. There is an edit button there for a reason.
Also, why did you link to those 3 database files? db.tar.gz files do not contain actual packages, just information about them.. you would need to download a bunch of xfce packages.. db.tar.gz files wont help you. I don't see how they relate to the rest of your post, either..

ASM lost disk, rebuilt disk grp. No dbid, how to copy ctl file to ASM?

I'm trying to help out on what is turning out to be a real challenge.
This looks to be Oracle 10.1.0.4.0 (version showed by rman and sqlplus).
There is ASM...but it was set to redundancy of EXTERN, but not really external redundancy. This is a test box, and I guess they were just trying to use what disks they had....I dunno, it was set up long before I got here.
Out of all the instances I've had to look at....for this one server, I have no DBID's documented.
This is a HP-UX box....they replaced the bad ASM drive, and I rebuilt the DATADG disk group.
RMAN settings...well, show all just gives defaults, as that I don't have a control file in place. This was, however, set up to autobackup control files and spfiles...but I don't know the DBID, and can't figure how to find the DBID....
I did, however, find the snapshot controlfile...and hoping I could use that.
I am, however, stumped as to how to copy this copy of the control file, into ASM.
I have found and old pfile that I can use to start the instance. I have started it nomount with this.
I looked at the parameter for control file and found:

Just a quick update on this.
I was able to find a snapshot of the controlfile on disk....
I went into asm and recreated the directory where the controlfiles were kept, and used rman to copy the snapshot controlfile to where the originals were kept:
export ORACLE_SID=+ASM
connect with sqlplus and do:
SQL> alter diskgroup DATADG add directory '+DATADG/instance';
Diskgroup altered.
Then in RMAN:
restore controlfile to '+DATADG/instance/control01.ctl' from '/u01/app/oracle/product/10.1.0/Db_1/dbs/snapcf_INSTANCE.f';
restore controlfile to '+DATADG/instance/control02.ctl' from '/u01/app/oracle/product/10.1.0/Db_1/dbs/snapcf_INSTANCE.f';
restore controlfile to '+DATADG/instance/control03.ctl' from '/u01/app/oracle/product/10.1.0/Db_1/dbs/snapcf_INSTANCE.f';
restore controlfile to '+DATADG/instance/control04.ctl' from '/u01/app/oracle/product/10.1.0/Db_1/dbs/snapcf_INSTANCE.f';
I then got out of RMAN...back into sqlplus and mounted the database instance:

How to copy recorded live stream to new drive

I was wondering if anyone out there knows how to copy a recorded live stream to a new drive on the server? I can copy the file within the virtual app directory but not to another drive.
The only solution i found was to edit the application.xml:

        <StorageDir>e:\Sync\</StorageDir>
    </StreamManager>
But unfortunately i need to rename the file once its recorded, and i'm having a hard time accessing that drive/directory where the file is located.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

What I understood from your query I am providing you a solution:
1. You can use the below to copy recorded live stream to new drive/directory in Application.xml

2. By default, a script can access files and directories only within the application directory of the hosting application. A server administrator can grant access to additional directories by specifying virtual directory mappings for File object paths. This is done in the FileObject tag in the Application.xml file, as shown in the following example:

3. Create one application folder suppose test and then create main.asc file inside that which will have the below code

This server side application rename files but since the folder which we had to access was outside application directory of the hosting application we had to map it using step 2.

Hi you can use this function module to move a file from application server to another folder on application server.

Plus u can use this function module to delete the file from that folder from which u want to replace it.

The copy works fine if I remove the long column from the CREATE TABLE "Tmp_CB_REPORT" statement
and the cursor copy statement. Any help is appreciated.

What I think you should do is to turn your long into a LOB. LOBs are much malleable than LONGs. I suggest you have a look at the documentation for DBMS_LOB. You can create a function using DBMS_LOB that uses a temporary CLOB to reas your long column an dreturn a CLOB.

How to copy attributes (as in which playlists) from one song to another

Hi,
Does anyone know how to copy the characteristics of a song--as in which playlists it appears in--from one song to another, so that the new song then appears on all those same playlists also? Or, if not, maybe you have some other idea for me:
I'm working with a Mac. I have several hundred playlists with ~100 songs each, and about 3,500 songs in my iTunes. Most of these songs are currently AACs. I've realized I have a problem: If I want to burn disks with MP3-format songs, I will need to convert the AAC to MP3s to burn them. If I don't want to have thousands of duplicate songs, I will need to trash the AAC versions of those songs from my library. If I do that, they will disappear from the playlists they are currently in (one song might be in 20 different lists). If I had to manually take each MP3 version created, look at which playlists the original AAC version is in, drag the MP3 version to each playlist, and delete the AAC version, it would take a Looooong time. Does anyone know of any shortcuts? For example, is there some way to copy the information about which playlists a given song is in and then paste that info onto the new version so it now appears also in these playlists? Or some other idea? Thanks very much!

Hi! I got a question, I didn't find an answer for yet.
How to copy the post address from one contact to another, without manual entering. I mean if I have one contact with already entered post address, can I just copy it someway at once to another contact?
I don't want cards to merge, I need separate contacts, that may have different phones, e-mails, but the same post address. Please, advise.

Thanks! yes, this is a solution I'm following now. But I was wondering about the similar way as it is made in Daylite or Contactizer - you create company with name and post address first, and then can create a contact for that company. And company name and post address will appear in contact name.
I just wonder why such a simple and useful solution isn't available in Address Book as default.
I know there are many scripts written for Address Book. Maybe there is something for this purpose?

Any suggestion would be helpful. For your information we can do it through UI with the help Site Actions / Manage Content and Structure.But i want to automate it using client side code.Server side code is restricted.
or can we create a template of an existing page with content without the help of sharepoint designer.

How to copy referenced photos from dodgy external drive to new drive when whole file will not copy due to error 36.

My external WD portable passport drive must be dodgy because I can't back it up or clone it or copy 3 of my 22 photo files to a new portable drive. I get error 36 as I attempt all 3 processes. I have copied my iPhoto library, iMovie events and most of my aperture referenced photos to the new drive. But cannot copy 3 files that contain the corrupted files showing just a grey triangle. I cannot delete or move to trash the corrupted raw photos.
How can I copy to the new drive any photos that aren't corrupted (grey triangle instead of photo or a photo that's just coloured horizontal broken lines) so I can then reconnect the referenced photos after copying them?
I am on late 2008 MacBook Pro with lion,

I've worked out how to copy and reconnect individual photos.
But can see that what's happening is that heavily edited raw photos are taking ages to load. Or not loading at all. And if opened go to the spinning wheel for 5-10 minutes. I am wondering whether to compress these or take them back to the originals or any other ideas would be very welcome.
