How to copy one playlist and associated files to another's computer

I have my iTunes music files on an external hard drive. My friend has created on my computer a largish (8GB) playlist of songs she wants from my library. I want to attach my external drive to her computer, and copy into her library only the songs that are on that playlist she's created. It would take forever to add them one by one using "add to library" and then hunting down one file at a time. Is there some way to copy the playlist onto her computer, and then use the playlist to automatically copy over the music files represented on the playlist? Many thanks for your help. If it matters, I'm on Windows XP and she's on OSX.

You can burn that playlist as data CD/DVD (backup). Go to the preferences menu and make sure that data CD/DVD is selected. If the playlist is too large you could split it by moving a part of the files to a second playlist.

connect the Macs with a firewire cable. start the G5 in Target Disk Mode. copy the entire iTunes folder from the G5 to the music folder on the new machine (overwriting the iTunes folder in place there).
fire up iTunes.
make sure you point iTunes to the correct media folder location via preferences > advanced

Now, I would want to move the third control file(C:\ORACLE\PRODUCT\10.2.0\ORADATA\DB10G\CONTROL03.CTL) to a disk on another computer ( which is a desktop running Windows XP SP2).The laptop and the desktop are on the same network, the laptop IP address is 192.168.0.1, and the desktop IP address is 192.168.0.2.On the desktop, I have a directory named CONTROL_FILES_DIR on a disk partition named C,*and using Windows appropriate GUI, I have shared this directory CONTROL_FILES_DIR , and given to all users the read and write rights on this CONTROL_FILES_DIR directory*. Thanks.Even if you get this to work one time, the very operation of your db is dependent on the availability of that second computer. Not a wise design decision. What problem are you trying to solve with this technique?

How to copy one of my iWeb sites to another computer

I have version 3.0.2 of iWeb.
I created a site for someone else on my computer and now I want to give/transfer that site to another computer that has iWeb.
How do I do this? I read something about all the iWeb files being in the Application Support/iWeb/Domain file, but having never heard of this before, I don't know how to JUST load that SINGLE site and not all of my iWeb sites.
I was hoping that it was/is something as easy as copying and pasting a Word document.

Duplicate the domain file that contains all of the sites. Move it to the other computer and open it with iWeb. Select the sites that you don't want and delete them from within iWeb leaving just the one site.

Can one Log and Capture file Overwrite another?

This is one of the weirdest things I have ever encountered. I several files into a FCP project and have looked at Clip 63, which is supposed to be the last shot of a scene. Now I cannot find that file anywhere for the life of me on my computer, and for some reason, Clip 63 is the exact same footage as my Clip 20. Has FCP re-written this file as a duplicate???

1 On the Home screen, tap Music > Playlists, then tap the playlist you want to edit.
2 Flick down, then tap Edit.

1 On the Home screen, tap Music > Playlists.
2 Flick down, then tap Edit.

If you tapped the wrong playlist, tap the one you want to remove.

The screen from the old ibook doesn´t work anymore (logicboard problem I guess).
I saved everything else with starting it in target modus. That worked fine.
I want to delete the files after that as well, because I wanna give away the old ibook and don´t want anyone to read my emails!

Don't know how helpful this will be but I often copy mail from one computer to another, I drag the mail from the mail window to the other computers drop box, then from the other computer double click it and mail asks me what I want to do with it, of course without a screen you'd need to use back to my mac.
If you don't have back to my mac running, you could set up a second user account on the newer mac, import everything via target mode as suggested by c above, and then drag the mail to the first user account drop box.

Also if I view the BLOB as text. Can I copy it and insert into the new database.

IPhone plays only one playlist and won't others

can anyone help me; I have my iPhone for so long time, always updated with latest version of software, but recently after latest update 3.1.3. iPod plays only one playlist and won't play any other. Also can't enter any other artist file or videos. When I try to, Ipod closes! The rest of phone works fine.
Could it be problem with latest update? How can I reset latest update?

The latest update works fine for most people, but your's might not have been applied correctly for some reason.
Try the standard troubleshooting steps in order:
Restart your phone: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then drag the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset your phone: Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

How do you combine audio and video files?

I've brought in a video file and an audio file, but can find no way to specify that they are a single source that should be compressed together. The documentation was of no use. How do you identify video and audio files as being one source?

Semantics, I suppose. In any case, you do need to go through Premiere Pro if you want AME to do the job. There are likely other encoders out there which can perform the muxing, though, if you'd rather not go through PP.

Apple doesn't make it easy to do what you want. However, here's how I do it.
Select the photo you want to move and create a new Event for it via the Event ➙ Create Event menu option.
In the Event mode select the new Event with the one picture and drag it onto the Event you want to move the photo to.
