How to create a document library with the attachments of a task list?

Hi!
Basically, I need to create an event handler, that in the time when a file is attached to a task, make a copy of the file in the document library. Unfortunately this requires knowledge in programming and is not even possible for me to install the software
i need in the company computers to try. Any ideas?      

Unless you have third party workflow options, custom development IS required.
There are several options when it comes to the development, some of which do not require admin involvement... but they still require programming.

    Unfortunately, you can't.  The primary address for your iCloud account must be a non-Apple email account.  The only exception to this is for former MobileMe subscribers who migrated to iCloud when MobileMe closed, which was 18 months ago.

    My requirement is to create a document library associated to a custom content type with a document template associated. Also I need to create a document based on the template in this document library when a new item is created in another list by taking the
    reference ID of that new Item , I need to create the document with the name appended by ID. I need to do all this deployment using WSP.

    This works perfect for me.
    However, there are few observations, when going to Document Library > Library Settings > Advanced Settings > Document Template section - doesnt shows the Edit template link. When tried to look at the value for the document template using view source
    , it is giving me /Lists/MyDocsListInstance/Forms/template.dotx instead of the actual template file uploaded.
    Ignoring the above observation, when I am trying to create a sandbox based workflow in visual studio to create document in document library when new item is created in another list, I provide the ContentTypeID as the ID associated with the document library
    with template. 
    It creates the corrupt document at end of workflow. 
    I have tried using .docx instead of .dotx files for workflow as per solution provided in some of the post but it isnt resolving my issue.
    Any help is much appreciated.

    OK, I am going to throw out a lot of ideas here so hopefully they get you closer to a diagnosis. Hang on :)
    Does it happen to work for some users but not others? If so, try logging in on the "good" computer with the "bad" username. This will tell you if the problem is related to the end-user's system. Also, once the user downloads a document
    successfully can they open and work on it in Word? Also, does the document library have any custom content types associated with it or does it just use 'Document'?
    I notice that there are other folks on the web that have run into this same problem and the similarity seems to be that they are either on SharePoint 2007 or have upgraded from 2007. Did this doc library start out as a 2007 library?
    What you might want to do is this: Make a site collection from scratch in 2013 (or find one that you know was created in 2013). Choose team site (or whatever you want) for the root web and set up the security the same way you have it on the malfunctioning
    library. Now, use windows explorer to copy and paste some of the documents to the new location. Be sure you recreate any needed content types. Now test it from the troubled user's computer.
    I'm thinking there may be something that is different about the library since it was migrated through various versions and updates since 2007. I've sometimes found that there can be problems (especially with user profiles but that's a different story) with
    things that go through this evolution.

    I received a US itunes card given as a gift and it will not redeem in the itunes store since it says I need to have a US itunes account which I do not. Mine is from another country.
    I emailed support and they said I could not use the itunes card nor can I transfer the credit to my itunes account for my country(even if it is still in US$). Though they did say that It was possible to create a US account with the same apple ID. I tried it but when I try to register a US account, in the end it says that the apple ID is taken.

    You can't use the same ID because it is possible to change countries on accounts.  The other person using your ID is you!  However, technically you can only use the store in a country if you are actually present in the country, and you have to have a credit card billed to an address in the country as proof.
    I guess the person at Apple isn't familiar with hte details of thir own legal documents, and you would either have to try to change country on your account (which may run into issues) or start a second account in hte other country (which again may not be easy, nor legal).
    The iTunes Store in a country is intended only for use by that country's residents, and only while they are in the country. To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card (or other card type if acceptable in a country) issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store.  You are also restricted to waiting 90 days between country changes.
    E.g., "The iTunes Service is available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance." - http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html#SERVICE
    Find somebody you know in the USA and give them a nice present.

    Hi,
    your requirement doesn't work out-of-the-box as all data uploaded to SharePoint needs to be stored in SQL database. Thus in your case 3 TB of fileshare would need to move to SQL.
    In case you don't want to go this way, there are 3rd party vendors who offer Software like AvePoint Connector. Products like these use SQL RBS (Storage Externalization API) so that files remain in your file system but metadata is kept in SharePoint. If you
    need more information on that, please let me know.

  • Issue with site template that contains a document library with a lookup column to another list

    I have a document library called Proposals with a lookup column in the same site called Document Categories (multiple values allowed).  It points to a list called document categories.  I have several sample documents in the Proposal Library that
    contain valid document categories.  When I save the site as a template and instantiate it, everything is fine.  However, when I remove the sample documents from the Proposal library and rebuild the site template, I can't get the  template to
    create another site.  I get an error Unable To Open Lookup List.
    I don't understand why I can instantiate a site from the template when there's sample data, but not when the document library containing the lookup column is empty.
    Does SharePoint 2010 site template support lookup columns?
    Why would it make a difference if the library is empty?

    According to your description, my understanding is that the error occurred when you created a site from the template with no files in the document library.
    I tested the same scenario per your post, and I can create a site from the template with no files in the document library with no errors.
    To solve this issue, I recommend to verify the things below:
    Did you save the site as a template with Include Content checked? If yes, I recommend to test if it works when saving the site as a template with Include Content unchecked.
    Test the same scenario with a new site to narrow the issue scope.
    I also recommend to check the event log and ULS log to see if anything unexpected occurred.
    To check event log, click the Start button and type “Event Viewer” in the Search box.
    For SharePoint 2010, by default, ULS log is at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\LOGS.

    Is there any way to attach/upload a document while creating or modifying a user.
    I have a requirement where user will create a document(.xls/.csv/.doc) with his details and he needs to upload that document while updating the profile. If he is creating the profile then this document has to be forwarded to his manager. By validating the document manger will approve the request.

    Use a JFrame and paint on the content pane. Or a Frame with a Canvas (who the heck still uses AWT?).
    They probably don't do anything because painting a button is not enough. It actually needs to be a button. Or Menu.

    You need to be able to automatically create a document from a template in just one or two clicks from the page and then automatically save it to the online-library.

    That's more or less out of the box behaviour. Create a content type on a list or library depending on what your template is (word doc, InfoPath form, list item with styling etc.), then create an alert for your admin on the list.
    Your users can then create new items and save them in the list/library. The process is simpler with list items or InfoPath forms as they don't give you the wide choice of actions that you get in word docs etc..

    On the left side select business scenarios and on the right side select the structure tab
    Press F4 here and check the Busines process repository is selected

    Once added here in solar01 reflected in solar02 automatically with relevant data for standard business process.

    In case I updated an existing material.
    Is there a transaction where I can put a matnr in, that reads the change pointer table and creates an IDOC with just the updated fields for an existing material.
    Like the transaction BD21, for example. But there I just have the possibility to enter a message type and not a material number.
    If there is no standard transaction. What steps do I have to do to achieve this goal?

    thanks a lot for your fast answers. but I want to decide weather I want to create a idoc that includes all data for a material (using transaction bd10) or create an idoc that includes just the updated data.
    The program logic should be the following:
    Select all materials in the change pointer table (that have been changed or new created).
    Check what value has been changed.
    If it is value YSAPSYSTEMXX (extension of mara) then create a idoc with all data for the material.
    If not YSAPSYSTEMXX has been changed create an idoc that includes just the updated data.
    For Idocs that include all material data I would use sap standard transaction BD10 and batch-input.
    For Idoc that should only include the changed/updated data I am searching for a corresponding transaction….

    Yes, that's what I meant. This kind of operation is called a "mail merge". It can be done using the PDF Maker plugin of Acrobat in some versions of Word and Excel, or using a script. I've developed a script that allows you to do it with any plain-text data file, for example.
