Please guide me on "how to create JAVA proxy in PI 7.1 using NWDS". I used to create java proxies from Integration build tools->generate Java Proxy in Pi 7.0/XI3.0; Please advise me.

Hi all,
We have a scenario for RFC -> Xi -> Java Application. We need to inoke certain functionlities provided by the java application through RFC. As per my understanding, i need to create the relevant interfaces and then invoke the java application by writing Java Proxies.
Can any body please suggest if:
1. My approach is correct? if no, then what is the possible solution?
2. If Its correct then how to create java proxies. Can any body please provide me a link to a blog with sample application?

Hi Kulwanth,
Java Proxies are Java Class files to access the R/3. If u create an RFC Model for a BAPI/RFC enabled FM the system will automatically create Java Proxy classes for ur R/3 connection.
The Java proxies for the message interfaces are generated using the Integration Builder tool (Design) in the menu Tools --> Java Proxy Generation and subsequently by selecting the message interfaces
Java proxies, the Integration Builder tool is used
1) The Java proxies for the message interfaces are generated using the Integration Builder tool (Design) in the menu Tools ---> Java Proxy Generation and subsequently by selecting the message interfaces.
Using the Java Proxy runtime we can Receive messages or Send messages to the Integration Server. The Java proxy runtime supports J2EE applications on the SAP J2EE Engine using Enterprise Java Beans 2.0. Synchronous and Asynchronous Outbound and Inbound communication is possible with Proxy Beans.

On my system this information is in the directory C:\jdk1.3\docs\tooldocs\javadoc. Look in the analogous directory on your system.

Pls. do the following steps:
1. Create data type in XI system.
2. Create the related message interface for the data type and activate the development.
3. Run transaction SPROXY from the R/3 system.
4. Select your SWC (Software component) and namespace.
5. Right click on the message interface and generate the abap proxy.
6. It will ask for a development package and pre-defined prefix (like ZZ or Y ). Provide the necessary details.
7. The proxy class and along with the relevant structures will be generated.
8. Activate the proxy class generated.
9. Use the class object in the program by calling the method (execute_synchronous / execute_asynchronous ) depending on the scenario.
10. use a try endtry block with catch statements to trap execptions of the code.
11. There are 2 types of exeception classes.
        a. system exception class - To trap system level exceptions.
        b. Application exception class -- To trap application specific exceptions.

I have already tried your solution, however in that case I get the error - "UncaughtSys.ArgumentNullException: Sys.ArgumentNullException:
Value cannot be null.Parameter name: context"...
Also, I tried removing SP.SOD.executeFunc
from my code, but no success :(

Hi folks, one question:
We have our development close moved and now it is earlier than originally planned.
That means that we maybe can't finish our convenient API and you have to wait till we will release it - early 2015 is planned.
But there is another option:
Currently we have a API based on json. The developer has to create json and to transfer it to the Visual Business control.
This interface is more used as a low level API and we are developing on top the more convenient one. So all the features are the same.
It will stay stable & compatible in the future and you can build on it.
Do you want to use this interface?
Then I will publish the documentation.

Hi Oktay -
This function works in my BPC70NW SP02 system. Your issue might be that you are trying to access a TIME member that does not exist. Please make sure the offset value is a valid dimension member.
I can confirm that EVTIM does allow the offset for base members (such as 2009.MAY) as well as parent nodes (such as 2009.Q1 or 2008.TOTAL)... BUT...the offset result of the EVTIM function needs to be a valid dimension member!

This code is working for slider.I mean it scrolls the slider.but it dosent make any effect to sound.

Help - how to create java proxy (sender) in NWDS 7.1

I am trying to develop a java proxy as sender to send message from WAS to PI.
I am using NWDS 7.1. Let me explain what I have done so far,
1. Received proxy classes from PI
2. Created a EJB Project, imported the proxy classes into EJB project
3. created a EJB bean, local interface in the EJB project and exposed as webservice
4. added the ejb to an ear
5. added reference to the following jar files (external library)
tcaiiproxy_rt_api.jar
com.sap.aii.af.sdk.jar
com.sap.aii.utilxi.server.jar
com.sap.aii.utilxi.core.jar
com.sap.aii.proxy.svc_api.jar
6. able to build and deploy the application
7. able to open the webservice in wsnavigator
Error encountered:
"Server Exception: javax.ejb.EJBException: nested exception is: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sap/aii/proxy/xiruntime/core/AbstractType "
Questions:
1. Which method I should execute / call among all the proxy classes from local bean class to send message to PI?
2. Is it mandatory to add refernces to the application.xml, ejb-jar.xml and other xmls ?
3. How can I test / monitor the message being sent to PI interface?
