How to custom skin PanelTabbed and Popup components in ORACLE ADF?

Hi,
I'm new to this framework. I'm trying to custom skin ORACLE ADF tab and popeup components to match with a design provided by my client. But I'm facing challenges in styling them. Does anybody did this before? Or do we have any sample code on the web to follow. Please Guide.
Thanks,
Srini

Hi.
I think that everyone did it before . Take a look into official doc:
Creating and Managing Skins - 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.7.0)
Selectors for Skinning ADF Faces Components
The last link have the full list of Skin Selectors (CSS properties that you can change) of the ADF Components.
There is also an IDE helpful to create Skin call ADF Skin Editor: Application Development Framework Downloads
I hope it helps.
Regards.

  • How to localize HumanTask names and process names of oracle BPM process ?

    Anybody known how to localize HumanTask names and process names of oracle BPM process ?

    Oracle Apex is an API, if that helps you understand / visualize. You do not start Apex process nor stop it.
    When an Apex session starts it starts calling the API.
    You can however start / stop the listener. It may be OHS, ApexListener and the J2EE container running it, OC4J or any other "server" that you are using.
    The built-in EPG is something like an API again, you cannot start / stop it but you can disable/enable it with DBMS_XDB.SETHTTPPORT API.

  • Problems with customizing select lists and popup LOVs

    Hi
    I have 2 problems about select lists and popup LOVs.
    The first one is about a select list in a tabular form.
    It should be created with APEX_ITEM.SELECT_LIST_FROM_LOV or similar and take its values from a named LOV.
    This worked fine but now it should also have the possibility to enter a free value.
    I tried to accomplish that by creating a APEX_ITEM.POPUP_FROM_LOV, but there is a problem with the function that is called by the arrow icon right to the input field (for eg. genList_f11_5()).
    If the row is added by addRow, then it works fine, but if the row is is not empty
    then the function call is like genList_f11_$_row() and the input field gets no value, when a LOV option is selected.
    The other problem is about a select list which should have the possibility to enter a custom value and
    also there should be the possibility to select several values. I tried to implement this by a text area containing the selected values and a multiple select list, with an event handler in each option. The user could click options and they would be copied to the text area. The problem is that I couldn't make the event handler work in IE.
    I would appreciate any ideas about either of these problems.

    Hi,
    If you download application you can see source.
    I have not write any instructions, sorry.
    If you are on Apex 4 you can just load jQuery UI autocomplete library and take ideas from my app.
    If you download my sample in zip there is uncompressed htmldbQuery library.
    You can see that and take only function htmldbAutocomplete.
    Then check jQuery UI document
    http://jqueryui.com/demos/autocomplete/#method-search
    There is method search that you can use open list just by click of input.
    I hope this helps at start.

  • How to disable browser next and previous buttons for entire ADF application

    Hi,
    JDev Ver : 11.1.1.2.0
    How can I disable the browser navigation buttons next and previous for my entire ADF application.
    If user click on page and then if it press backspace key then it should not go back to the previous opend url and the current page should remain as it is.
    How can I do this ?
    regards,
    devang

    Back button (and backspace) will always go to the previous page. However, with a single master page, the previous page will be the page that called the application so users won't be likely to use it to navigate. The idea of opening the application in a new window/tab is also a nice addition to prevent the back button from being enabled and yes that would block backspace as well. Combine both solutions and you'll have a tab with both back and forward button disabled for the whole application. I don't think there's any document specifically about this solution, but it's not exactly complicated, you seem to already have it actually. Can you precise your question?

  • How to set the target of af:commandLink in Oracle ADF faces ( af:menuTabs )

    I try to use tabbedpane component from Oracle ADF...As I found, they stated that only <af:commandLink> can be child of <af:menuTabs>
    I want to press the tab then the result can be show at the bottom of that tab...as same as the jsf demo from SUN.
    <af:menuTabs binding="#{editor.component}">
    <af:commandLink text="Quick-Info" action="#{action.qinfo_page}"
    selected="true" />
    <af:commandLink text="Vertrieb" action="#{action.vertrieb_page}"/>
    <af:commandLink text="Wichtig" action="#{action.wichtig_page}"/>
    <af:commandLink text="Kontakt" action="#{action.kontakt_page}"/>
    <af:commandLink text="Notizen" action="#{action.notizen_page}"/>
    </af:menuTabs>
    Now when i press to each tab, it will redirect to new page as i define (such as the code in welcome.jsf...then it redirect to qinfo.jsf when i press at Quick-Info tab).
    Pleas help me to solve this problem...I need to show the result at that page (area below the tab). Thank you in advance.

    We're sorry, but this isn't supported. One rationale is that it's not generally sufficient to simply reload the target page; you also have to reload the tab control itself to show the new selection. We generally recommend not using frames in this circumstance, instead putting the menuTabs and the content on one page.
    (BTW, "target" isn't really supported on <h:commandLink> either)

  • How can I use Spark and Mx Components in a NativeWindow?

    Hi,
    First of all, please, excuse my english... I'll try to express in the best way I can...
    I'm working in a AIR application, with Flash, Flex Builder y Action Script 3. I'm creating a new interface, and the main class extends from NativeWindow. The design and look&feel of my application is much different so I plan to create my own components, but I want to use some Spark or mx components and make some skinning or styling.
    When I've tried add some components in the stage of my main class (NativeWindow), the component doesn't appear or a compilation error if a try differents ad bizarre things. After reading and searching a lot. I think that Spark or MX component need a Spark or MX container. I've done some tests and if I add a WindowedApplication, I can use Spark/MX components, but I have two differents "windows": my own window and the Spark window.
    What am I searching? I solution to add Spark/MX components under my NativeWindow and integrate with the rest of my components.
    My main MXML file is:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <s:WindowedApplication xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
            xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"
            xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx"
            xmlns:b="*"
            xmlns:a="com.copmadrid.arioco.window.*"  windowActivate="this.close()">
    <fx:Declarations>
      <!-- Place non-visual elements (e.g., services, value objects) here -->
      <a:MainWindow id="ariocoWindow">
      </a:MainWindow>
    </fx:Declarations>
    </s:WindowedApplication>
    In Declarations, I create my own window. If I add Spark/MX components in this file, they're added in another Flex-like window. I have two windows. For this reason I put this.close() to close the Flex Window. It's a trick for the moment.
    Inside <a:MainWindow>, I can't add anything becouse Flex Builder 4 said that I can't add component in declaration - trying to add a component inside the NativeWindow. If I add Spark/MX components in the ActionScript class of MainWindow, even if I add a Spark WindowedApplication, they aren't appear.
    I have to ways, and I'll be very thankful if someone could help me:
    1. How can add in the MXML file Spark/MX components under the MainWindow after the delcaration block. I've searched but I haven't found a way to do it.
    2. Inside de ActionScript class file of MainWindow, add Spark/MX components but I supposse that I have to make an instance of a class that I can add to the stage of MainClase (extends from  NativeWindow) and will be visible there and a valid container for Spark/MX components. I have no idea about which class could be a bridge between NativeWindow and a valid Spark/MX coontainer.
    Thanks in advance! Greetings from Spain!!!

    Spark.components.Window is used for secondary windows.

  • Customizing Account Factsheet and standard components

    Hi all,
    I am currently working on account factsheet and I would need some help.
    My factsheet is a copy of the standard FCC_ACCOUNT_FS. When we click on the business agreement ID in the FICACMP_ACC components (ListWindow FS_TOTAL_TREE), there is a link to a second Factsheet FCC_BUAG_FS.
    1/ I would like to change this link in order to launch another factsheet (ZFCC_BUAG_FS). How and where can I do that?
    2/ How can I ensure that the business agreement ID is passed into my second Facsheet when clicking on the link?
    3/ I implemented the standard FICACAMP_PAY component (FicaPaySearch View), and I don't know how to use the search.
    When entering a range of amounts and a time range for one business agreement ID and launching the search the error message 'Enter a time range with a maximum of Month', is systematically displayed, even if my time range is less than a month. Why? Where can I change these controls? How can I put default values for attributes?
    4/ I implemetend the standard INVOIC_S component (SearchInvoice View), but the error message '
    To search for parameter BUAG_ID, activate feature(s) EXT_BILL' is always displayed when I launch the search. What configuration do I have to do to solve that?
    5/ Are there any standard blocs which can be implemented in Facsheets for displaying security deposit information (ISU FKK_SEC table)?
    Thanks for your help.

  • How to create new file and popup a Save As Dialog?

    I want to create a new file and then popup a Save As Dialog to save the new created file.
    I have tried to use the JFileChooser as the following code:
    =============================================
    JFileChooser jfc = new JFileChooser();
    File f = new File("c:\\text.txt");
    jfc.setSelectedFile(f);
    int returnVal = jfc.showSaveDialog(this);
    if(returnVal == JFileChooser.APPROVE_OPTION) {
    f = jfc.getSelectedFile();
    =============================================
    I can't found the created file execute the program, anyone can tell me whats going wrong of my code or give me some advice?
    Thanks a lot.

    Actally, I want to generate a file and specific the
    name and the location to save it.
    And solution to do this if don't use the JFileChooser?Use a JFileChooser to choose a file name (you can select the directory and type the filename into a field). Once you have the file name you can open a FileOuputStream or FileWriter and write to the file you have just defined. If this file does not exist then it will be created.
    If you want to confirm before overwriting an existing file then just put up a confirm dialog if the file exists (File.exists()).

  • How about customer Alert Style and Repeats based on contacts?

    In Contacts I can chose the "ringtone" and "text tone" to override the default.
    I receive a text message from my company's pager system and save that address as a contact.
    And then set a custom "text tone" for that contact.
    So now normal test messages arrive with the default tone and pages can sound the "Alarm"
    It would be nice if I Contacts also let me chose the Alert Style and Repeats.
    (it would also be nice if Repeats worked at all)

  • How to ZOOM the JFrame and its components ?

    Hi
    I could not find any solution/suggestions for this, so I am asking help.
    I am adding multiple components (JLables, JtextFields and a JTable) in to Jpanel(s) and to a JFrame window and I want to add Zoom (+ or - ) functions.
    I don't want to take each and every component from JFrame/ JPanel(s) and resize or repaint.
    Is there any way, that you can increase and decrease the whole JFrame and JPanel's view so that the components, which are been added to them, look like their sizes are also increased / decreased?
    Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Vally.

    ok...
    god bless the "GlassPane"
    you can take a snapShot of your frame...
    draw it on your glassPane..
    and just use your glassPane
    to paint the image with the requested size...
    in this approach you cant press a button and to things..

  • How to use the userid and password infor from Oracle DB in BO

    Out client has the userid and passwords(encrypted) infomration stored in oracle table.
    Is it possible to import this useid and password information into BO .And use the same userid and password from Oracle table for its login authentication and for data security...?
    In other words can the userid/pwd info from Oracle Profile Table imported and re-used in BO Enterprise Edition.

    If the users/pw are in an Oracle LDAP v3 compliant server then you can import them via LDAP plugin, else you would need to bring them in an enterprise users via script. The Import wizard can do this and the SDK (see the SDK forums for more info on how)
    Maintaining the passwords would be difficult unless you are using and industry standard directory like LDAP.
