How to customize navigation bar in firefox?

i had a refresh button and stop button in the navigation bar which is shown alternatively. That is when a page is being loaded a stop button appears and after the page is loaded a refresh button appears. it does not appear now i somehow refreshed the settings. how do i get this back ?

Swap the position of those two buttons and they will show outside the Location Bar. The UI is designed to work that way; when in the default position those two buttons go into the Location Bar; when moved either or both will appear where the user places them on any Toolbar. And when those two are swapped left to right, to the right of the Location Bar, they will appear there.

    There isn't a built in way to do that since all the navigation toolbars are on one toolbar.

  • I have no navigation bar and firefox will not open in safe mode to reset to default config. Reinstalling doesn't work. Any help please.

    I have no navigation bar ever since I closed it to gain more space on the screen. It won't re-open. Firefox will not open in safe mode, but opens immediately in normal mode with the new improper config, so I cannot reset to default config. I erased Firefox and re-installed and it still opens with the same faulty config. Why does Firefox not give me the safe mode dialog box, why can I not re-open the nav bar, and how can I do these two things, please? Firefox is currently unusable for me without a nav bar and without access to the default settings in safe mode. I cannot research the extensions I'm running since I have no nav bar to go to Tools, Add-ons, Extensions.

    Hit the '''Alt''' key to show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar and Navigation bar, so they have a check-mark.

  • Is there a way to add an extra navigation bar to firefox?

    I was just wondering if there was a way (either through firefox or through an add-on) that I can add an extra navigation bar to my browser. Having a drop-down menu at the end of the navigation bar with a long list of bookmarks kinda defeats the purpose of having a navigation bar to begin with for me. This is obviously just a matter of convenience but as I am not short on screen space.... has anyone been able to do this? Thanks!

    Tried that but there were no extra "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" item like the navigation bar has to drop into it to make it a navigation bar. Only works as empty space that cannot hold links without that. Is there a way to replicate the "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" item to put into a new toolbar or any other way to make a new navigation bar?

    Rana,
    Check out the Body of you standard page template. Make a copy of this code prior to experimentation !
    Within the Body you may see something like this:
    <div id="header">
      <div id="logo"><a href="#HOME_LINK#">#LOGO##REGION_POSITION_06#</a></div>
      #REGION_POSITION_07#
      <div id="navbar">
        #NAVIGATION_BAR#
        <div class="app-user">#WELCOME_USER#</div>
        #REGION_POSITION_08#
      </div>
    </div>Removing the line with <div class="app-user">#WELCOME_USER#</div> should do it.

  • Why is the background of the navigation bar on firefox 4 grey? How do i make it have a clear background like the rest of the toolbars?

    okay i downloaded firefox 4 and all was good, but today and yesterday the naviagation toolbar (you know the one with the search engine home forward and back buttons) has a grey background, the buttons arent grey but the background is and it's driving me crazy

    Formatting options on the forum is showing '''''BTTF's''''' suggestion incorrectly. It should be
    #nav-bar{background:rgba(255,0,0,0.5) !important; }
    I have not tested this solution, so I can not vouch that it works.

  • Can't find how to activate "Status Bar" on Firefox 4 Beta 7

    Status Bar option is not on View menu. Where is is?

    The Status Bar is no longer present in Firefox 4.0 b7 and replaced by the Add-ons Bar that extensions can use.
    Status-4-Evar: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/235283/
    Open the View > Toolbars > Customize window after you have installed the Status-4-Evar extension and drag the items up on the Add-ons Bar (View > Toolbars > Add-on Bar)

  • Is there a way to combine the menu and navigation bars in Firefox 4?

    I prefer having my tabs underneath like in the old version, but that leaves me with a long empty waste of space next to the navigation button. Is there a way to slot the url bar in here and so have the same uncluttered look as with tabs on top? It doesn't bother me that the url bar will be smaller.

    Umm,
    I have nothing that I know of for this one.
    Second Screen with camera, close the Laptop
    Second Camera, Wifi Keyboard out of reach, close the laptop.

  • Lion: how to customize lateral bar icons?

    Good morning,
    I've installed Lion and I've noticed that the icons in the Finder Lateral Bar cannot be customized:
    The default icons are displayed in the lateral bar,while the customized icons are displayed watching the same folders on the right, with Cover Flow, or Column view, etc.
    How can the customized icons be displayed also in the lateral bar?
    Thank You
    CR

    I think by 'Lateral Bar' you mean the 'sidebar' in the Finder.
    Unfortunately, custom folder icons don't appear in the Finder sidebar in Lion. I hope (as do many others, I think), that Apple will give us our custom-icon-sidebar nirvana back.

  • How to get Navigation Bar Spacing?

    I have been really frustrated by this for days now. I can see someone has posted a similar question but it has not been answered.....hopefully someone can help me.
    I have pretty much got a handle on everything else except, How do I create spacing between the menu buttons using the Navigation Widget?
    Thanks, PD.

    With the Menu selected, you can increase the Gutter value in the Spacing panel in order to add spacing between the Menu items.
    Thanks,

  • Where did the "Stop" button go on the Navigation Bar in ff4? It isn't included in the Customize box. Is there anyway to install the "Stop" button for loading web pages or is this option compeletly gone from Firefox now?

    Just installed upgrade to Firefox 4.0. Where did the "Stop" button go on the Navigation Bar. I checked the Customize dialogue box and it isn't included. Is anyone else missing it? Is there anyway to install the "Stop" button for loading web pages or is this option completely gone from Firefox now? It was a very helpful button and allowed us users to stop a web page and move on if it wasn't what we needed.

    In Firefox 4 by default the Stop, Go and Reload buttons are combined and attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.
    When you are typing in the location bar it will show the Go button. When a site is loading it shows the Stop button. At other times it shows the Reload button.
    If you want separate buttons, right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the stop or reload buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order "Reload-Stop" on the right hand edge of the location bar they will be combined again. For more details on customizing the toolbar see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/How+to+customize+the+toolbar
