How to determine if font supports language

The language of my application is russian.
when trying to put all the GraphicsEnvironment.getAllFonts() into the JComboBox to let the user specify the application font, ALL available fonts(along with system ones and the ones that doesnt support russian)
Please help - how to determine whether i can use the font!

How to tell what fonts are missing in a Photosohp CS5 document?

Hello! I have received some work from a graphic designer. I need to modify some of the text in the document. When I open the document I get an error message:
Some text layers might need to be updated before they can be used for vector based output. Do you want to update these layers now? [Update] [No]
If I click [Update] it replaces the font with Myriad Pro. If I click [No] the text looks the way the designer intended, but I have the exclamation mark-triangle symbol over the layer with the text. If I try to edit the text I get another warning:
Editing or rendering the text layer "Text Layer" will cause its layout to change. Continue? [Cancel] [OK]
The same behavior described above occurs. If I click [Cancel] I obviously can't edit the text. If I click [OK] it changes the font to Myriad Pro.
I would like to determine what font the layer is using. I could swear that previous versions of Photoshop would tell me what fonts were missing when I opened a document. I can't use the text tool to select the text without it changing the font. Other posts have mentioned using the text tool to look at the text drop-down to find a greyed-out font which indicates the missing font. I do not have that. I only have perhaps 200 fonts installed. Can anyone tell me how to determine what fonts a .PSD document is using? I would prefer not to bug the graphic designer if possible. Thanks much!

Not sure why you are getting ""Font is present on the system but requires a layout change.", usually you do not get that instead the name of the font shows.
We use extensis Universal Type Client, so the fonts load automatically upon opening files, and never really get missing fonts in Photoshop.
Actually fontbook has auto font loading if you want to give that a try. Fontbook >> Preferences

Set supported languages for app store

I have created a applicaiton for IOS and Android. When I upload the app to the app store it is listed as supporting a lot of different languages.
I only want the app to be listed as supporting english. How do I set the supported languages?

Language support is outside of Captivate. As long as you have the font installed in your system, it will work in Captivate.

How to find out font does not have international support

Hi,
OS X claims itself Unicode supporting system - that is true however only a minor portion of native or preinstalled fonts support CE accented characters such as ľĺščťďžýáíéŕňäúô.
The question is: how can I find out which font has international support and which doesn't?
The problem is, that when you use font without CE support, it replaces problematic characters with the closes match (e.g. instead of Geneva you will get Arial for certain CE characters). This is sometimes very hard to spot and you often find this out in prints where every now and then a single character is printed in different font/size or missing altogether. And attempt to print document usually escalates the problem.
Windows supports CE and many other alphabets in its standard English distribution with ALL its core fonts. It is a SHAME that Apple plainly ignores half of the planet for so many years (I understand, however, that half of the planet does not equal half of the market.).

Well, regarding iWork I would like to use the fonts
that are bundled and used for the templates because
they are pretty. I don't want to spent hundreds of
extra dollars on buying crippled CE versions.
I think you misunderstood me. One can't even use CE fonts with OS X (except in a couple of obsolete apps) and I would never recommend that anyone acquire or install them. I meant that you could change the default fonts in the templates to other Unicode fonts that do include the Latin Extended-A block needed for CE languages.
I assume you're aware that Apple OS X apps can also use all the MS and Adobe and other Unicode fonts made for Windows that do contain Latin Extended-A, so you are not confined to Apple's fonts?
I grant that it would be better if all the Unicode fonts supplied with OS X, iWork, and iLife included more character ranges, but the current state for CE scripts is at least a whole lot better than for the Arabic or Devanagari scripts, where there is only one font available and Windows fonts usually cannot substitute.

So we have created ztable which has relation between SAP component, Reported-by and Support Team.
Now i need to develope a ZBADI and assign to the action definition SLFN0001_ADVANCED_FIND_PARTNER(i hope).
Can anyone help me out with the piece of code. Because i don't which FMs to be called for read and update the support desk message.
Note: Action definition SLFN0001_ADVANCED_FIND_PARTNER uses method call Z_CRM_DNO_PARTNER_1(which is a copy of CRM_DNO_PARTNER_1 and applied some correction as per note: 1041455).

1.Develop the z table which will allow to maintain Sold to Party, Component, Support team
2. Implement the Badi for which will read the sold to party and component from the ticket and look in to ztable and fetch the corresponding support team and audate the support team feald in ticket.For this to take help of ur Abaper
3. For this to call the BADI have to confgure the actions with method call.

How do I specify supported languages for an Android app?

I have uploaded my APK created with AIR to the Android Developers console and it looks like the list of supported languages is the default one (15 languages), see image:

My app actually only supports 9 languages, how can I specify only the 9 languages that my app supports?ffi
Are there any specific tags I need to add in the Android manifest additions in the application descriptor?

Starting with AIR 3.8 Adobe added the supportedLanguages tag for the app xml descriptor that would filter the default all languages:


<supportedLanguages>en</supportedLanguages>
This definitely works on iOS by filtering the localizations that get bundled into the .ipa so Apple doesn't automatically list all languages Adobe localizes in the captive runtime. I would expect this to have a similar effect on Android if you don't already have this explicitly added in your application descriptor.

How to rechoose or add the Oracle 10g AS's support language?

I Installed the Oracle 10g As on a redhat as 3 with sp4. and I did not choose any other languages support while install the Oracle 10g AS. All were fine except that while I accessed the server's 1810 port with IE6, I got additive device. Some charatersets display right while some such as buttons display as a litter pane.
so my question is how to rechoose the Oracle 10g AS's support language and set one of my preference to as default character set !
I am not sure whether this problem just relate to the emctl's startup parameter.

Finally, I reinstalled the Oracle Application Server 10g on the same Operration System. Any modification of the setting in my computer hasn't been made. in the course of installation, all the operation steps were the same with the previous time, except for adding a language support.
And this time, to access the em manager console with IE, all runs fine without any additive device. The buttons display the right words now. And I found there are something different in the folder $ORACLE_HOME/sysman/webapps/emd/cabo/images/cache/.
But I still have not any idea how to correct this problem on an installed system if I meet next time. Do I must reinstall anytimes? Or there just need to modify some config files?

I am working with Solution Manager 4.0 and I want to use Automatic Partner Determination in Service Desk. My employer wants the Support Team (SLFN0003) to be determined by the Reported by (SLFN0002).
There are already parts of the Automatic Partner Determination that work, like determining the Sold-to Party from the IBase component. Because of that I believe the customizing leading to a correct Partner Determination Procedure is working. But somehow I cant seem to get the determination of the Support Team from the Reported by to work. Hopefully someone can help me on this matter.

It is recommended for you to upgrade the JDK version to the J2SE 1.2.x versions which provides better support for the Thai fonts.

Anyone know how to determine Macbook Air screen tech? Causing migraines

Hi There,
Last year, I expereinced a lot of mild migraines which I've traced back to a new Macbook Air.
At first I had no idea of the cause (diet, stress etc) but have noticed that my eyes feel uncomfortable looking at the screen of my Macbook Air (I don't have this issue with my Dell monitor).
My eyes don't hurt per se, but I can detect a sublte jittering with the screen - which can turn into a migraine.
After doing a bit of research, it seems like most (but not all) LCD and LED LCD displays use something called pulse-width modulation to control brightness but after calling Apple support, they told me my MBA doesn't use this technology.
Does anyone know how to determine the underlaying technology in Apple displays so I can research the cauase of my headaches? I found a good Ukranian website (in english) that explained pulse-width modulation but it didn't really talk about other technologies.
Any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.
