How to determine which object was change within a snapshot

Dear All,
We are using OWB 9.2.0.4 with Oracle database 9.2.0.7.
I have taken a full snapshot of an OWB project that includes several modules(cascade). I one of the modules I have created a new table, and added it to an existing mapping in that module.
When I compare the module with the snapshot I took before, I get that all modules have changed and all thier mappings. When drilling down I can see that for the objects I did not change only an internal property was changed.
How can I determine what has changed? Do I have to drill down on all objects?
Regards
Galit

Hi,
We are using 10.2.0.4.36 for the client and 10.2.0.4.0 enterprise edition for the database.(info from the session props window)

  • How can I determine which image was clicked in 3D carousel?

    I have been modifying some 3D carousel code that I found in hopes that I can get it such that when image "resolv2.jpg" (or any of my other images) is clicked on at the front of my carousel, it goes to a specific webpage. By just replacing "moveBack(event.target) from the toggler section of the code with "navigateToURL:(newURLRequest('http://google.com'), the target DOES sucessfully go to google when clicked on. However, I want to modify this code by altering the else statement to say something to the effect of "else if event.target (clicked on object) is 'resolv2.jpg' THEN go to google". So essentially, my question is how can I determine which image was clicked? Here is the entire code with the area I was altering bolded:

    Your answer may be correct, but I am very much a beginner to actionscript, and I was wondering moreso if it is possible to determine the root/url (i.e. images/resolv2.jpg)? Or even if InteractiveScene3DEvent calls a variable that holds this url? However, specifically, I'm just wondering if the actionscript itself could determine the url in a line of code such as "if object == BitmapFileMaterial("/images/resolv2.jpg"); "? Also, here's a copy of InteractiveScene3DEvent in more detail if you think that will help:

  • How CSSCAN determines which indexes need to be rebuild ?

    Hi everybody,
    i'm currently migrating 3 Oracle databases that contain CP1252 characters unproperly stored in WE8ISO8859P1 instances.
    The key steps of the migration are :
    1. ALTERing CHARACTERSET to WE8MSWIN1252
    2. changing CHARACTER SEMANTIC LENGTH for CHAR and VARCHAR2 columns
    3. truncating data stored in VARCHAR2(4000) columns
    2. Full export
    3. Full import in a ALL32UTF8 instance
    To do all of this (and especially the step 3), i use the CSSCAN utility (very practical !!!).
    And i have a question about CSSCAN: how CSSCAN determines which indexes need to be rebuild. What is the logic ?
    Looking at the CSSCAN report, i have a lot of cells/columns that are affected by the characterset migration, and i have just a few index to rebuild.
    Why would i like to understand the logic ? Because i would like to rebuild ONLY indexes that REALLY need to be rebuilt and i am not sure that all the indexes specified by CSSCAN really need to be rebuilt.
    Thanks for any information about that.
    (and sorry for my english)
    NB: i have managed "function-based indexes" specifically: i drop them before the export, and i recreate them after the import. So my question mostly target the "regular indexes"

    1. All indexes whose key contains at least one character column with convertible or exceptional data, excluding indexes with names equal to some constraint name for the same owner.
    plus
    2. All functional indexes on tables that have columns needing conversion, excluding indexes with names equal to some constraint name for the same owner.
    The condition regarding constraints does not seem to be very fortunate but it comes from times when the appropriate flag in index metadata was not yet available.
    But note that in your migration scenario, you do not actually have to care much about indexes. Step 1 & 2 do not need any modifications to the user data and hence to index contents. Step 3, if done through UPDATE, will modify affected indexes automatically. Step 4 does not affect the database. Step 5 will recreate all existing indexes anyway.

  • How to determine which FileChooser ExtensionFilter has been selected

    Hi,
    I'm using a JavaFX fileChooser.showSaveDialog with two extension filters (*.csv and *.xml). How can I determine which filter was selected when the end-user clicks the save button?
    I am writing a program that allows the end-user to create an output file in CSV or XML format.
    If the end-user enters a file name with no extension, I need a way to determine if I should create a CSV or XML file. I would also like to add the proper extension to the file name if none is specified by the end-user. I want to do this based on which filter the end-user has selected. I wrote a Java program 5 years ago and I was able to do this with the following instruction:
    String extension = jFileChooser.getFileFilter().getDescription();
    I can't find a similar instruction for JavFX.
    My JavaFX Code:
    FileChooser fileChooser = new FileChooser();
    fileChooser.setInitialDirectory(new File(options.getOutputDirectory()));
    ExtensionFilter filter1 = new FileChooser.ExtensionFilter("Comma Delimited (*.csv)", "*.csv");
    fileChooser.getExtensionFilters().add(filter1);
    ExtensionFilter filter2 = new FileChooser.ExtensionFilter("XML Document (*.xml)", "*.xml");
    fileChooser.getExtensionFilters().add(filter2);
    File file = fileChooser.showSaveDialog(stage);
    String filename = file.getAbsolutePath();...How do I determine which extension filter has been selected?
    My Java Code:
    JFileChooser jFileChooser = new JFileChooser();
    jFileChooser.setCurrentDirectory(new File(outputDirectory));
    jFileChooser.setSelectedFile(new File(backupfile));
    FileFilter filter = new FileNameExtensionFilter("Comma Delimited (*.csv)", "csv");
    jFileChooser.addChoosableFileFilter(filter);
    jFileChooser.setFileFilter(filter);
    filter = new FileNameExtensionFilter("XML Document (*.xml)", "xml");
    jFileChooser.addChoosableFileFilter(filter);
    jFileChooser.setAcceptAllFileFilterUsed(false);
    jFileChooser.setDialogTitle("Export Alarms");
    jFileChooser.setBackground(colorFileChooser);
    int returnVal = jFileChooser.showDialog(jFrame, "Export");
    if (returnVal == JFileChooser.APPROVE_OPTION) {
        File file = jFileChooser.getSelectedFile();
        String filename = file.getAbsolutePath();
        String extension = jFileChooser.getFileFilter().getDescription();
        if (extension.equals("XML Document (*.xml)")) {
            if (!filename.endsWith(".xml") && !filename.endsWith(".XML")) {
                filename = filename + ".xml";
            saveTableXML(filename);
        else if (extension.equals("Comma Delimited (*.csv)")) {
            if (!filename.endsWith(".csv") && !filename.endsWith(".CSV")) {
                filename = filename + ".csv";
            saveTableCSV(filename);
    }Thanks,

    This problem is currently tracked as http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/RT-18836.

  • Topink 9.0.4 not generating an update statement, if the object was changed.

    I have 2 tables T_Objects and T_Categories.
    T_Objects stores images as a BLOB field. T_Categories stores the details of an article category and references the pictogram in T_Objects via a FK.
    I have 2 webpages. One which is used to load the pictogram in T_Objects and the other which is used to maintain details of the category in T_Categories. As soon as the image is uploaded and is displayed on the screen, user fills in the category details and saves them.
    Each of these operations is performed in a seperate HTTP Request (and consequently seperate UOW). The idea is that the user first uploads an image, checks the image on the screen and the decides to associate it with a category.
    The database is Oracle 9i. Driver used is OCI 8. Binary Steam Binding is enabled for BLOB fields. DatabasePlatform is Oracle9Platform.
    The descriptors of both the tables use SoftCacheWeakIdentity and the cache size is 100. Both tables use Optimistic Locking based on a version field using TimestampLockingPolicy.
    Coming to the problem, if the delay between the upload of the image and saving of the category details is large (say 20 seconds or so) Toplink generates a Update query to update the details in T_Categories. If the delay is smaller than that then Toplink fails to generate an update query even if the object was changed. Upon debugging I find that just before the commit, the BO being committed has all the correct details including the new PK of the uploaded image.
    Assuming that the BO pointing to T_Objects may not be in Cache (owing to images of size 200+ KB) I did an explicit read of this object before attempting to save details to T_Categories. Even that does not seem to help.
    Any ideas on what is happening here?

    Chris. Thanks for your reply. I did not get your point. However these are the steps being done.
    Can you please go through the code and check what could be wrong?
    Steps
    1) createContent(VmTObjectsVO vo) is called to insert into VM_T_OBJECTS.
    This internally calls create ( Object obj, UnitOfWork uow, boolean commitChanges )
    2) update( VmSubcategoriesVO vo ) is called to update a sub-category details to VM_T_SUBCATEGORIES.
    This internally calls save( Object bo, UnitOfWork uow, boolean commitChanges )
    In the save method at the time of uow.commitAndResume() no update statement is getting generated.
    These core methods are used for almost all tables in the application and all of them work.
    It is only in this use case I have a problem.
    * Creates a new entry for storing the image/document in VM_T_OBJECTS.
    * @param vo the content to be stored.
    * @return the sequence assigned to this object.

    lnContentId = create(bo);

    * @param vo VmSubcategoriesVO to update.
    * @ return updated VmSubcategoriesVO

    * returns the primary key identifier with which it was created.

  • How to determine which elements are queryable via Web Services QueryPage

    I am trying to query opportunities by associated opportunity product revenue records, but I continue to receive errors like "Unexpected text: = '9598015'".
    From reviewing the forums, it looks like this is when I am querying a field that is not defined to be queryable.
    Could someone please tell me how to determine which fields are queryable on a particular record type like this? I have tried using basic short text fields and indexed short text fields - but continue to receive the error message above.
    Thanks in advance.

    I found at least partial answers to my questions.
    MessageContext.getPropertyNames() can be used to see the properties on a given flow.
    MessageContext.getProperty(prop) can be used to get information for paroperties such as:
    prop=javax.xml.rpc.service.endpoint.address
    prop=wsdl.portName

    I am unable to view the full content of various web sites after purchasing Advanced System Care Pro. I was using the free version before with no problems. I cannot figure out if or which setting was changed. I tried doing a system restore but that did not work. I tried turning off all features of ASC pro but that did not work. Javascript is enabled. Please help.

    Many thanks.
    With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:
    Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
    (If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

  • How to know which object is in which transport requeset

    hi frnds
    how to know which object is in which transport request

    hi Preethi
    try with transaction se01 then clic on the tools icon under the menu you will get a list of function.
    then select search for object in transport request (maybe the text is a bit different) then enter information like for example R3TR  OSOA and the name of a datasource. if you don't know the meaning of R3TR use the match code and use it also for objects you want to find infosource infoobject etc... don't forget to mark the flag select if your transport request is released or not and then execute you will get the list of all transport requests containing your search object.
    hope this could help you
    best regards

  • How to determine which chipset my Satellite L300/700 has?

    I have a SATELLITE L300/700 (PSLB8A-047004). The User Guide covers several models. It indicates that the chipset determines which memory modules I need for a memory upgrade. How do I find out which chipset I have, please?
    Kev.

    > I'm still curious about how to determine which chipset I have - any thoughts?
    Go to the device manger and click on IDE Ata/Atapi controllers:
    http://img814.imageshack.us/img814/7321/chipset.jpg
    There you will see your chipset installed on your laptop. In my case, as shown on the screenshot is Intel ICH9m

  • How to determine which configuration is being used within a page/view?.

    If I click on the little cog icon to take me into the AET for a given assignment block, how do I know which configuration is being used?. Usually one is highlighted, but the case of the Accounts main address assignment block these details are not shown. As there probably 30 of them I though there must be a quick way to determine which is being used from within the view/page.
    Anyone
    Jas

    Hi Jason, (great performance at the Transporter, but go easy on the steroids )
    There are 2 ways to know that:
    1. put your focus (not in the configuration mode) on one of the fields that are on the block. then press F2. Here you get a popup where there is the configuration searched for and the configuration found.
    2. Within the configuration, when there is no configuration with the configuration key linked to your business role present, the system takes the <DEFAULT> one. there should at least one be highlighted, otherwise you get a dump NO_CONFIG_FOUND.
    When you just press the copy button on the configurations tab, you get your configuration defaulted, this being, the configuration key linked to your business role + the search for component, usage, and subcomponent. here you see what was searched for.
    Hopefully this helps you out a bit.

  • How to determine which user uses which database-object

    Hi,
    currently we are in the process of consolidating our databases. One of the neccessary steps is to figure out which user connects to the database at all. That's easy, we implemented a logon-trigger and log the collected information into a separate table.
    If a user with objects (e.g. tables, views, procedures) exists - but this user never connects to the database - does that automatically mean that these objects are not used at all? No need to say that this is not true. But how can we figure out if a connected user has selected an object of this user?
    Our porblem is that we have alot of schemas in our database - but the developers don't know if this schema is not used by an application or not (sad but true).
    To enable auditing would be one choice to figure out if an object was ever used or not.
    Are there any other possibilities?
    Any help will be appricated
    Rgds

    Even though audit may have a footprint on performance, that would probably be less costly than any custom solution.

  • How to determine which Windows application has focus

    I'm new to JAVA and new to programming. I hope someone will help me out. I'm trying to write a simple JLink program (JLink is a JAVA API for Pro|Engineer, a CAD design program). In part of this program I need to determine if Pro|E has focus. Is there some way to use JAVA to determine which actively running Windows application has focus?
    I basically want my program to pause when focus changes to another program. For example: While Pro|E is active and has focus the program runs, when I select an Excel window, or Outlook, or Notepad or any other window my program will pause until focus is returned. I just need to determine which window within Windows has focus.
    I hope I have explained this properly. I searched the internet for an answer but found nothing. I did come across some references to JNI, but I'm not sure what that is or how to use it.
    Thank you!

    I just need to determine which window within Windows has focus.No, you don't. All you need to determine is whether your application has the focus. If it doesn't, then some other application does, but it's really irrelevant which one does. All that's relevant is that your application doesn't have the focus and hence it should pause.

  • How to listen for cell selection changes within a JTable

    Problem: my table has 8 columns, with 4 of them containing very large text (up to 1000 chars). Solution is to set the initial size these columns so that the 1st 20 chars are visible, and if one of these columns gains focus/selection via mouse-clicking/tabbing/arrow keys, the entire text is shown in a JTextArea below the table.
    I added a ListSelectionListener to the table, but this only informs me when the row selection has changed.
    I added a FocusListener to the table, but this only informs me when the table gains/loses focus, not when it's been changed within.
    I added a TableColumnModelListener to the TableColumnModel, but this only informs me when the column selection has changed.
    I didn't bother with MouseListener as this won't handle change of selection via tabbing.
    The LSL got me half way there, and the TCML got me the other half. Any ideas on how to combine?
    Or is there something obvious that I'm missing?

    Walter Laan wrote:
    Use both and call the same method which updates the text area based on the current selected (or focused == lead selection index) cell.Yeah - that's what I figured. I just didn't know if there was a magic bullet (i.e., a single listener) out there that I was missing.
    While you are at it, also add a table model listener which calls the same method if the selected cell is updated.I'll keep that in mind, but it's not necessary in this particular case. The table cells in question will be uneditable. The text area will have supporting Edit/Save/Cancel buttons.

  • How to determine which diskgroups a database is using

    We want to be able to determine which diskgroups a database is using. We have been using the following query which works but only if the database has open or had open the "right set of files" recently --
    SQL> select dg.name from v$asm_diskgroup_stat dg, v$asm_client c where dg.group_number = c.group_number and c.db_name = 'MYDB';
    If no archived logs have been generated in a while then the diskgroup that contains the FRA will no be listed in this query. We can cause the FRA diskgroup to show up if we archive the current log. Here is an example.
    SQL> select * from v$asm_client;
    GROUP_NUMBER INSTANCE_NAME
    DB_NAME  STATUS
    SOFTWARE_VERSION
    COMPATIBLE_VERSION
                5 +ASM
    DBI03    CONNECTED
    11.2.0.3.0
    11.2.0.0.0
    SQL> alter system archive log current;
    System altered.
    SQL> select * from v$asm_client;
    GROUP_NUMBER INSTANCE_NAME
    DB_NAME  STATUS
    SOFTWARE_VERSION
    COMPATIBLE_VERSION
                5 +ASM
    DBI03    CONNECTED
    11.2.0.3.0
    11.2.0.0.0
    GROUP_NUMBER INSTANCE_NAME
    DB_NAME  STATUS
    SOFTWARE_VERSION
    COMPATIBLE_VERSION
                7 +ASM
    DBI03    CONNECTED
    11.2.0.3.0
    11.2.0.0.0
    Notice how diskgroup "7" shows up after the log is archived? It appears that the instance for diskgroup "7" will eventually be drop off after some idle period. Is there a way to generate the list of diskgroups consistently?

    Hi,
    If your database was configured manually (i.e not using DBCA) you should check v$(datafile,controlfile,logfile,block_change_tracking,etc) and parameters of database (log_archive_dest,db_recovery_file_dest,spfile,etc) to map these info.
    If your database was configured using DBCA you can try it:
    $ srvctl config database -d <database_name> |grep "Disk Groups"
