How to determine wich button is clicked?

... and so on. If you have the time the whole thing is
downloadable
here.. Greetings
from Sweden. Here's some of the code...

that is very easy to do that.
First u assign a separate variable for each button (or) keep
an array where its length is total no of buttons instead of
variables.Store 0 as values for all buttons.
When one button is clicked make the index for that button to
1 and if another button is clicked make the index for that button
to 1 and remaining values to 0.
So,write a function to check the values in array and if 1 is
there change the color of that button to grey and other buttons to
black.
Try this and tell me whether it works or not.

  • How to identify which button is clicked in an action

    Hi,
    I am just checking whether it is possible to build calculator or not in webdynpro for abap.
    I have some buttons and i have associated same action for all the buttons and in that action i would like to know which button is clicked.
    Please let me know the code for that
    Thanks
    Bala Duvvuri

    Hi Bala,
    Its possible. Just go to the action handler for the button & read the attribute ID of the WDEVENT which is passed by the framework. This id will contain the id of the button which triggered the event. Consider the code fragment below:
    method ONACTIONACTION .
        DATA:  lv_button_name type string.
        lv_button_name = wdevent->get_string( name = 'ID' ).
    endmethod.
    At the end of execution lv_button_name will have the ID of the button which triggered the event.

  • Determine which button is clicked

    I am creating the download buttons on my page dynamically and I am assigning the name also dynamically attaching the counter with the name. Now On form post, i want to know which button( button at which counter ) was being pressed. Could u help me on this.

    Use request.getParameterNames( ) to get an enumeration of all the names passed by the form. You can then go through the list and determine which button was pressed since the name of that button would be passed along.
    If you are uncomfortable with using the enumeration technique, do a request.getParameter( button_name ) for each button and check whether you get a null value which implies the button wasn't pressed, or the counter value, which implies the button was pressed. If you have a lot of buttons, this results in some redundant code, but if you have only one or three, then this is probably an ok way to do it.

  • How to determin wich control has focus

    I'm using arrow keys to drive an external device. I catch the main vi key events and act on it. On this vi is also a textinput. When I navigate true is input with arrow keys the main vi events are also fired. That of course should not happen. Is there a way to distinguis between such events. Thus between a vi's main keyboard events and keyboard events in a control on this vi. I thought of finding out wich control has focus.?

    Sometimes when you dialog controls, the last "OK" button added to the front panel has the focus turned on by default. You can right click on the control and select "Customize >> Key Navigation" and select "None" in the list.
    It seems you have a different problem and are using event structure. Nomally we use the "Value Change" as event condition. Is it possible that you may choose a different condition, such as "Key Down, Key up, etc"?

    onChange="document.forms(0).ADD_TO_LIST.disabled=false;"

    Please reply if you can help.
    Thanks for enlightening me that Java script is different than Java.This is the third time now you have been so enlightened.
    I am not sure how is it harming you if I post the Java script question here.Please don't be a wank. It is inappropiate for anyone, including you, to ask off topic questions on this, or any other forum. This forum is NOT for JavaScript questions and that is all there is to it.
    So now go to Google. Type JavaScript Forum into the search box and find yourself a JavaScript forum and ask your JavaScript question there.
    This isn't rocket science and your excuse as to why you haven't done so is at best flimsy but more likely just a lie.

  • How to handle a button double click

    I know how to define and IBAction and link it to a control by (Click-Drag)ing.
    But that does not make me chose what action (event for x-Microsoft) in the control am I linking to.
    By other words, when I click-drag, I dont mention, anywhere that I want this action to be linked to the "Click" event of a button. So what if I want this action method to be called when a button is double clicked for example, or when the mouse moves over it.
    Thanks

    Hi Tony, and welcome to the Dev Forum!
    The good news is Apple provides thorough documentation on tracking, interpreting and handling Cocoa mouse events. The bad news is the info is carved into pieces that are scattered all over the library. The challenge is to identify the docs that contain one or more pieces of the puzzle, and then to fit everything together.
    As to double clicks, there's no NSControl equivalent to the double-click notification that many Windows controls send (e.g. BN_DOUBLECLICKED). Also, as you've seen, when connecting an event to an action method in IB, there's only one event to choose from (Cocoa Touch is different in this regard, btw. You'll have a choice of several events when connecting a UIControl object to an action method in IB, though "double-touch" isn't among them).
    So how do Cocoa programmers detect a double click in, for example, an NSButton? The default action message for this class is generated by a NSLeftMouseUp event. I.e. when the left button is released while the control is tracking the cursor.
    One crude but effective solution is to have the listener (the action method connected to the button) set an ivar and start a one-shot timer on the first message. If a second message is received before the timer method resets the ivar, we have a double click. Otherwise we have two single clicks.
    A more general solution is based on two methods you might easily overlook. Firstly, [setContinuous:|http://developer.apple.com/mac/library/documentation/Cocoa/Refe rence/ApplicationKit/Classes/NSCellClass/Reference/NSCell.html#//appleref/doc/uid/20000074-BBCCCEAA] allows you to configure the associated NSActionCell object to send a stream of messages to the button's target instead of just one. The stream starts with the mouse down event that initiated tracking and ends with the mouse up that ends tracking (also see [trackMouse:inRect:ofView:untilMouseUp:|http://developer.apple.com/mac/library/ documentation/Cocoa/Reference/ApplicationKit/Classes/NSCellClass/Reference/NSCell.html#//appleref/doc/uid/20000074-BBCCJAFJ]).
    The next piece of the puzzle is the [currentEvent|http://developer.apple.com/mac/library/documentation/Cocoa/Refere nce/ApplicationKit/Classes/NSApplicationClass/Reference/Reference.html#//appleref/occ/instm/NSApplication/currentEvent] method of NSApplication. This returns the NSEvent object the started the current event cycle, i.e., the event which caused NSButton to send the current action message.
    Thus the listener has access to the stream of event objects which represents the mouse activity from the start of tracking to the end. Using the position and time stamp data from this stream, the listener can distinguish between clicks and drags (hovering is detected differently; I won't try to cover that topic in this post).
    A couple reference links that might help with the rest of the puzzle:

  • How to build a button on click of which opens a list below it

    Hi,
    I have a requirement wherein onclick of button I want to open/close list/popup (which is displayed below button, just like in select list) and can select any item from list to do some action.
    It is required urgent. Can anyone guide me please?
    Thanks!

    This is the wrong place for urgent requests.
    Just like select list? Why not select list?
    What version are you? If >= 4.x, you can hide a region on entry, then show/refresh region on click of button using dynamic action.

  • How can I determine which image was clicked in 3D carousel?

    I have been modifying some 3D carousel code that I found in hopes that I can get it such that when image "resolv2.jpg" (or any of my other images) is clicked on at the front of my carousel, it goes to a specific webpage. By just replacing "moveBack(event.target) from the toggler section of the code with "navigateToURL:(newURLRequest('http://google.com'), the target DOES sucessfully go to google when clicked on. However, I want to modify this code by altering the else statement to say something to the effect of "else if event.target (clicked on object) is 'resolv2.jpg' THEN go to google". So essentially, my question is how can I determine which image was clicked? Here is the entire code with the area I was altering bolded:

    Your answer may be correct, but I am very much a beginner to actionscript, and I was wondering moreso if it is possible to determine the root/url (i.e. images/resolv2.jpg)? Or even if InteractiveScene3DEvent calls a variable that holds this url? However, specifically, I'm just wondering if the actionscript itself could determine the url in a line of code such as "if object == BitmapFileMaterial("/images/resolv2.jpg"); "? Also, here's a copy of InteractiveScene3DEvent in more detail if you think that will help:

  • How to Create a Dynamic http address that opens the Explorer Window for a List Item When a Button Is Clicked--Currently Trying to Make this Work with Javascript

    I have created a button (via Content Editor) that uses JavaScript to open the Attachments folder of a list item in the Explorer Window in SharePoint 2010. The purpose is to have drag and drop functionality for each list item, having multiple attachments.
    The button works but opens the "Attachments" folder containing all of the other folders for each list item (one folder per item). It seems that when you add an attachment to a list item, SharePoint numbers the folder based on the item's ID. What
    I'm trying to do is take the JavaScript I have and have it run when a button is clicked in a custom form. When it runs, I'm trying to get it to open the "specific" folder for the list item. I have had success creating a hyperlink in the list that
    does this; however, the link WILL NOT work until I use the Content Editor created button that runs JavaScript, that prompts me to click OK to my profile certificate, and then opens the Attachment folder. After that occurs, I can use my hyperlinks without issue
    because I'm no longer prompted to click OK for my cert.
    So I'm trying to take the JavaScript I have and place it in a list item form (custom form) and have it run when a form button is clicked. The problem is I have very little knowledge of JavaScript (did I mention little?) and
    "don't know how to take the "http:" address I have in the script and append to it the list item ID, according to the record I have open."
    So that for any record I open, the script will grab the corresponding record ID (or list item ID) and append it.
    Here's the script I'm working with (which I didn't create but am grateful for):
    <style>
    .httpFolder {behavior:url(#default#httpFolder);}
    </style>
    <script text = "javascript">
       function fnOpenFolderView(){
       oDAV.navigateFrame("https://server/collection/site/subsite/Lists/Sublist/Attachments","_self");
    </script>
    <div id = "oDAV" class = "httpFolder"/>
    <input type = "button" value = "Open Attachment Folder" onclick = "fnOpenFolderView()"/>
    The above script, in the Content Editor, creates a button that opens the Attachments folder for the corresponding SharePoint list.

    Hello Thriggle,
    Thank you for pointing that out. I appended your "GetUrlKeyValue" to the end and it worked. That said, I noticed it doesn't run as smoothly as when I simply click on the Content Editor button I created that resides on the SharePoint List
    ASPX page (not the form). The Content Editor button has the same code, minus the "GetUrlKeyValue". I click it; I get prompted to choose my cert; it opens right up.
    Now go to the ASPX Display form where I dump the code in a table cell. Button appears in cell; I click it; wait; wait; I get prompted for cert; it opens. Do I need some sort of "throttle" for the JavaScript? For instance, I thought before running
    JavaScript, you reference the library first. This code doesn't do that. I'm wondering if there's something more I need to make this run smoothly. Thank you both for getting me this far.

  • How can I set a value in a field before create when a New button is clicked

    Hi,
    I am using
    JDeveloper 10.1.3.1.0.3984 and
    JHeadstart 10.1.3.1 release 10.1.3.1.26
    I have one group and there is a detail group under that group.
    From main group to detail group there are 3 field relating those groups.
    field1
    field2
    fieldSEQ (auto-generated by database trigger)
    These 3 fields are PK.
    In the detail group, there is a New button. So, when the New button is clicked, it tries to create the record with those 3 fields value as those are coming from main group. As a result it's giving the duplicate error as that record already exists in the table.
    But I don't want to create the record with that SEQ as that will be created in the trigger.
    How can I set the SEQ temporarily any no. (-1) before create when the New button is clicked?
    Can anybody help?
    Thanks

    Hello Syad,
    What I would suggest is setting the sequence number at the creation of the entity object (so in the create() method) by using the database sequence. This way it will always be unique.
    So something like:
    protected void create(AttributeList AttributeList) {
    super.create(AttributeList);
    SequenceImpl sequence =
    new SequenceImpl("KCP_SEQ", getDBTransaction());
    setFieldSeq( sequence.getSequenceNumber());
    If this still does not solve it: please go to the ADF Forum since this problem is an ADF problem, not a JHeadstart problem.

  • How to open a form on click of a button in infopath

    I have created an infopath form on a list. I need to create a button on the pape on click of which the last item created by the user should open. I mean the edit form of that list item should open.
    How can we do this ?
    Thanks for your response in adv.

    Hi,
    Per my understanding, you might want to add a button on a page, when clicking it, the last form which is created by the current user will open.
    As it might require to query the last form created by current user, custom code would be required.
    A solution is that, you can query the URL of the last form created by the current user using JavaScript Client Object Model, generate a button with the URL retrieved
    using JavaScript. Then when user open this page, the button will be created dynamically, user clicks it, the last form created by this user will open.
