How to disable cell_merge option while sorting in ALV GRID

I am using function 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY' to produce report in ALV.
I have written code Maually to sort. by filling the table of type SLIS_T_SORT
All works fine BUT when I
select a field to sort on it merges that fields are dispalying as a group.
i want to be displayed the report without cell_merge
I have tried using this
field in Layout structure called " cell_merge" i.e.
slis_layout_alv-cell_merge = 'X' but no luck.
Dose anyone know how to use this feature in this function? or how not to
do a cell merge on sorting? any help appriciated. thx.

You can turn off the automatic cell merge when sorting by creating a dummy field in your output structure and setting it to both no_out = 'X' and edit = 'X'.

Actually if you are looking to disable the "Edit" option so end users cannot change or modify the existing Logon Pad options systems, you can.
What version are you using for SAP GUI?
7.10 has icons to the right which allow changes. (New, edit, etc)
7.20 has icons across the toolbar at the top. (pencil, paper, trashcan)
For both versions, Navigate to C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui (Default location)
In there you will find 2 executeables:
saplgpad.exe
saplogon.exe
If you run the saplogon.exe it will allow edit, delete and modify
If you run the saplgpad.exe:
On the 7.10 version the buttons are gone.
On the 7.20 version, the buttons are grayed out.

Hi,
How to disable drill option in a column in WebI?
When the Drill option is enabled by default all the column in the report will have that enabled,
I ahve added Hierarchy in the Custom hierarhcy list in Universe.
I am using BOXI3.1 WebI Reports.
But I wanted only the hierarchy column to have that drill option enabled, rest all column should display text data.
PLease let me know if you have any idea.

Cretae the variable at the report level (may be with the same definiton) and then use that variable in the table
to disable the drill. It will be displayed as normal text object.
Drill functionality is enabled only on the objetcs coming from the universe.

User Configuration\Administrative
Templates\Windows Components\Internet Explorer\Browser menus
Enable the Group Policy “Tools

Hi
For some column headers in a report, the translations in Turkey are more than 40 characters, because of which while executing the report in TR language, the column header is getting truncated.
So, I would like to know if we can increase the column header length while printing the ALV Grid(OO ALV) output.
Or else, Is there any way where we can divide the column header into 2 rows.
Please let me know.

The problem we have is with the column headers, there is a limit of 40 characters for the column header in ALV reports. So, increasing the outputlen also did not help.

How to handle user command method in module ALV Grid

HI Experts,
                 I have 3 containers grid.
                 GR_GRID              TYPE REF TO CL_GUI_ALV_GRID,

                 GR_GRID2              TYPE REF TO CL_GUI_ALV_GRID.
                 Please advise me how can I insert, save, delete 3 Module ALV Grid in method user command. How can i get which grid button (save, insert, delete) is clicked and how can i control those grid.

Assuming that you want to have a "push-button" column, i.e. push-buttons within an ALV grid then you need to implement the following steps:
(1) Set the style of the column as button
ls_fcat-style = CL_GUI_ALV_GRID => MC_STYLE_BUTTON.
(2) When the user pushes the button event BUTTON_CLICK is triggered. Thus, define an appropriate event handler method.
