i am acquiring data from an oscilloscope.
wen i save the data in a text file using wite to speadsheet string, all the voltage values r displayed first and then the time values... besides its tab delimited
how can i display it such that the time values r in one column and the voltyage values r in the other column

I think you are collecting data at the same time and as aeastet told building an array will help. the example attached will give you an idea.. Though i am not sure whether this will solve your problem or not.

I don't think you have a standard sap program to upload data from file to database table...
Instead you can create a custom program like this..

is it possible for me to create a text file - that is, with TEXT_IO.fopen, and so on - that's already formatted as a Word document?
We have a Forms program here, where it's needed to generate a text file with .RTF format, 8 centimeters margin, Times New Roman font, with size 7.

sincere thanks for your answer. And, to answer your last question, I'm using client-server model.
Since I couldn't create this .RTF file by using built-ins like TEXT_IO, I tried to generate an .RTF file using Reports, passing the parameters DESTYPE, DESNAME and DESFORMAT, as shown below.

add_parameter (pl_id, 'DESNAME', text_parameter, 'c:\franklin.rtf');
add_parameter (pl_id, 'DESFORMAT', text_parameter, 'RTF');
However, the just generated .RTF file is uncomprehensible. After opening the file at Microsoft Word, I can see the following message at the top of file:
This file was created by Oracle Reports. Please view this document in Page Layout mode.
... and informations doesn't appear as desired.
If I can't generate such text format by using TEXT_IO, and if generating an .RTF file through Reports shows me an incomprehensible result, how can I export the selected result to an .RTF file?
When Reports is opened, choosing Generate to file -> RTF doesn't export anything.

How to import data from CSV file with columns separated by semicolon?

I migrate database from MS SQL 2008 to ORACLE 11g
I export data to CSV file from MS SQL
then I try to import it to Oracle
several tables goes fine using Import data option in the SQL Developer
Standard CSV files with data separated by comma were imported.
chars, date (with format string), and integer data are imported via import wizard without problems
the problems were when I try to import table with noninteger numbers with modal part separated by comma not by dot
comma is the standard separator for columns in CSV file
so I must change the standard separator to semicolon
then the import wizard have problem to correct recognize the columns data because it use only standard CSV comma separator :-/
In SQL Developer 1.5.3 Tools -> Preferences -> Migration -> Data Move Options
I change "End of Column Delimiter" to ; but it doens't work
Is this possible to change the standard column separator for import data wizzard in SQL Developer 1.5.3?
Or maybe someone know how to import data in SQL Developer 1.5.3 from CSV when CSV colunn separator is set to semicolon?

Screen data entry box that displays data from text file AND write back to file.

I want the user to be able to view/edit a 'setup file' FROM THE SAME INDICATOR BOXES for a application. I tried to read the file(text), display individual data in indicator boxes and re-write file when user is finished. This causes errors since you can't use indicators boxes as inputs for the file write. Is there some kind of indicator/control/data entry box that the user can view the data, edit the data, and re-write the data from the box???

You need to modify the input parameters in the Spreadsheet Sheet String to Array. For the delimeter, you need to specify a space. By default, the function uses a tab as a delimiter.

the date which i specified.How to do this specific
deletion?You need to open a stream to read in the file and then use the indexOf method provided in the Sting class to check if the line contains the date or whatever String you are looking for, if so then skip that line and store or re-write the lines you wish to keep, as well as some extra lines you may wish to add.

The above read a file line by line and prints it to console. You should be able to modify this, instead of using System.out to print the line you should use index of to check the lines for a date/String. Index of return -1 if the String you specify is not in the line you parse.

Cant get data from text file to print into Jtable
