How to display estimated project time as min:sec

I know how to create an advanced action to display my estimated project time in minutes (thanks lilibiri!) However, it displays in decimal format. I want to convert the decimal format (example 16.79 minutes) to the Minute:Sec format (example 16:47)
I need an expression to isolate the decimal portion only (example 79). Any ideas?

go to system administratioon-system configuration-support-support desk-browse deployment-check for com.sap.porta.navigation.masthead.par and download it to nwds.
when you import it to NWDS jar file will be missing so you need to manually add that to PORTAL-INF/private/lib.
once you do this go to HeaderiView.jsp in PORTAL-INF/jsp folder.

once you do that select qucik par upload from the tool bar and deploy it.

Your question is certainly lacking some information.

Are you talking about an inserted video, or about the Captivate file itself? I'm asking this because a lot of users refer to a published CP-file as a video.
'Elapsed time': is this the real time spent by the user, or the time as you can see in the TOC (developer's time)? I blogged once about the difference.

A requirement of a customer is to display to current data and time in every page.
It should be done in a <header>. So i'm writing a new (template based) renderer for that element. How can i display the current time and date on it?

Hi Robert -
When you say you are writing a template-based Renderer, do you mean that you are creating a custom look and feel and replacing the header Renderer? If so, I'd recommend instead simply creating your own template (not template-based Renderer), and reference your template directly from your uiXML pages where you want to insert the timestamp.
You'll probably want to write a method data provider which calls System.currentTime(), convert the result to a date, and then use Java's date formatting capabilities (see java.text.format.DateFormat) to produce a user presentable String that you can return from your data provider.

How to display elapsed/current time of a song in Actionscript.

Hi I have a question on how I can make my code display a total time for a song from a media player I created with Actionscript 3.0, using XML to load the song track.
This is my current function which I have done and I am unsure on what the problem is that is not allowing the elapsed time to display in a textfield on my stage.

The 1009 error indicates that one of the objects being targeted by your code is out of scope. This could mean that the object....
- is declared but not instantiated
- doesn't have an instance name (or the instance name is mispelled)
- does not exist in the frame where that code is trying to talk to it
- is animated into place but is not assigned instance names in every keyframe for it
- is one of two or more consecutive keyframes of the same objects with no name assigned in the preceding frame(s).
If you go into your Publish Settings Flash section and select the option to Permit debugging, your error message should have a line number following the frame number which will help you isolate which object is involved.

How to display PeopleSoft Project's Components and Pages ?

I have just set up PIA and Process Scheduler in Windows Server 2003.
" http://127.0.0.1/psp/ps/?cmd=login " can get to PeopleSoft Login page. After I login using my PeopleSoft Database UserID and Password, the browser displays "http://127.0.0.1/psp/ps/EMPLOYEE/PT_LOCAL/h/?tab=DEFAULT" that is MENU page with Search box. I can open every item in the Menu page.
But when I try to open my project's component and page, the browser cannot display them. I got the message as follows:
"http://127.0.0.1/psp/ps/myComponent" display the message: Could not open Registry. Registry Name: myComponent.
"http://127.0.0.1/psp/ps/myPage" display the message: Could not open Registry. Registry Name: myPage.
Can any folks tell me how to open myProject's components and pages in Browser so that I can input/retrieve data into/from PeopleSoft Database ?

I have registered each component using Registration Wizard in Application Designer. Since each Menu holds a Component, the Menu is also registered while registering its Component. So far, I can access each component online using the URL: http://127.0.0.1/psp/ps/NodeName/PortalName/c/MenuName.ComponentName.GBL
But I want to create a Menu for my project as a hierachical tree ( Project -> Item1 -> Component1, Compoent2, ...),
and I want the project Menu appears in PeopleSoft left hand Menu navigation so that a user can simply click on it to access a component and don't need to type in the above URL. Please answer me 2 questions:
First, how to make the project Menu appear in PeopleSoft left hand Menu navigation ? I am still not sure what you are trying to do(It is surprising that you registered the component and still dont have it in the main navigation; did you run the portal security sync process?? ).
If it is all a matter of having a hierarchical structure, then you can create folders and subfolders and register each item accordingly(into different folders and subfolders as you want)
Second, if need to register each Menu seperately again, how to do it ?Delete entries for content references that you added earlier while registering(by navigating to portal), as well as the entry from permission lists. After that you should be able to register again.

Please provide an example of how to display the system time in CNiNumEdit.

I need to display elapsed time in a numeric edit control. The value must be a double. Using MFC, please show me an example that displays the system time in a CNiNumEdit control.

The trick is to set the FormatString of the num edit control to a format that displays dates/times and to use the COleDateTime class to handle converting the date/time to a double. COleDateTime encapsulates time stored as a DATE, which is a typedef for double. COleDateTime uses the same conversion factor for date/time as what the num edit expects, and since it supports a conversion operator to a DATE, which is really a double, and the num edit Value property is a double, displaying the current time in a num edit can be as simple as this:
// Assuming you have a member variable called m_numEdit for a CNiNumEdit
m_numEdit.FormatString = _T("hh:nn:ss");
m_numEdit.Value = COleDateTime::GetCurrentTime();

Spotlight hung, displays "Estimating Indexing Time" indefinitely

After I used iPhoto Library Manager, Dup Annihilator, and Thumbnail Annihilator, I have seen Spotlight crippled with this endless "Estimating Indexing Time" message. I removed an external hard drive after seeing this message, but this didn't help. I re-installed Snow Leopard--likewise, no help. What can I do? Help Appleheads!

If the problem is indeed iPhoto, you can go to the Spotlight prefs pane, open the Privacy tab, and put the iPhoto Library into it. That will remove it from Spotlight's indexing attempts. If Spotlight is then able to finish indexing you will know for sure that the problem is iPhoto. If that turns out to be the case, follow Barry's advice and post about the problem in the iPhoto forum.

Decimal format time value to convert into time (hr:min:sec)value in a graph

I need to develop a graph in WAD, in BW7. In the graph the value must be showed as HR:MIN:SEC, which I cannot get it right.
The keyfigure value carries the duration(hr:min:sec) in decimal format. In the query, I use this keyfigure for calculation. To get the time broadcasted for a week range. I get the total duration (say 507835.000). Now I need to convert this value back to hr:min:sec. I use the below formulas to get the hr, min, sec.
D = 507835
Val1 = D/3600
Val2 = Frac(val1)
Val3 = Val2 * 60
Val4 = frac(Val3) * 60
Hr = Val1 Val2
Min = Val3 frac(Val3)
Sec = Val4
In another formula in the query I add Hr + Min/100 + Sec/10000 to get hr.minsec format.
When I do an average on count of weeks, this doesnt round off correctly.
I tried to also use the Data function TIME() which when the time is > 24 hrs changes the value.
Lets say if it is 39:00:00, it shows value as 15:00:00 instead of keeping the value 39:00:00.
When I used this value in the graph it did not show the HR:MIN:SEC values in the value axis instead it showed 0.0, 0.1,.1.0. Bcoz of this the graph is blank.
Can anybody help me to resolve this problem.

I checked SU01 and didn't see anything there to customize...
In my workstation, control panel / regional and languages settings / tab regional Options / customize; my time format is HH:mm:ss; the HH has to be in capital letter to display the time in 24 hour...
but this is strange anyway... are you reporting with web frontend or excel?

GetDate of resultset Ignoring the Time (hors min secs) component in DB2

Hello I have a DB2 in which has the date in the format 2007-01-24 09:25:21.680000.
I am trying to retrevie it using the
java.sql.Date start =rs.getDate("Give_time");
System.out.println("This is the Start Time Stamp" + startBuild.getTime());
Gives me the Timestamp of the "2007-01-24" completely ignoring the time "09:25:21" which is more important to me in this case.
How do I retreve the time in the date ?

If you mean getTimeWell actually no he meant getTimestamp but that doesn't seem to be your real issue.
There are three kinds of date/time objects in JDBC/SQL. One is a Date (that holds only the Date information), one is a Time (that holds only Time information) and last is a Timestamp (that holds both).
So if you want to get the time you need use getTimestamp or getDate methods. However as mentioned you also need to
- have a field that is actually storing this information
- actually be storing this field
So one of those two looks like in your case it isn't correct.

One select list would have 24 x 60 entriies. You should use two. One for hours and the other one for minutes. The SQL could be:

How to display the Date Time using the System Time zone

Can anyone help me with below scenario..
I have to display Date Time on a jsff page, This value associated to one of Transient View object populated from the database.. Is there any way I can handle on the screen to display the same date /time bassed on the system time zone ?
I know one way how we can handle it.. while populating to View object we can set the time based on the system time zone.. but it would be easy and simple if there is any approach I can use on UI layer itself..

I don't understand why this display doesn't pay attention to the date/time format settings that are set in the language and text prefs.
Those settings are used for date OR time, and provide for different displays depending on the space available. The menu bar does not have a fixed space available, and wants both date and time.
In Leopard, it used the medium time format. To get the date and time, you could modify that format to include the date, but that could cause problems with software that happened to use the medium time format and expectede just the time. Also, you might want to change the medium time format without changing the menu bar display. For these reasons, Snow Leopard's menu bar clock uses its own formatting for data and time display.

How to display images real-time?

How, (using CVI, NI-IMAQ and IMAQ Vision) can I duplicate the Grab function seen in MAX; in other words, I want to display images at the frame rate of my camera (30 fps). I've come across several examples on this site, the best of which seemed to be "Performing Real-time Image Acquisition, Averaging, and Logging" (realtime_image_averaging.zip), but this example, built with LabView, can't find several vi's (IMAQ WindDraw.vi, IMAQ Convert.vi, IMAQ Add.vi, IMAQ Divide.
vi, IMAQ WriteFile.vi) needed to run it. I have LabView 5.1, NI_IMAQ 2.6 and IMAQ Vision for LabView 4.01). Please note that, although I'll accept LabView, I prefer a CVI solution.

I would strongly recommend upgrading to the current version of Vision. There have been major improvements since the version you have. I suspect the examples have improved significantly also, which would probably be worth the cost of the upgrade. I have attached a simple grab and display example in LabVIEW that I saved to LV 5, but I can't be sure it will work with the old version of Vision. Since you want to use CVI, it probably won't do you much good anyway.
