How to display Rank with specified columns.
Hi All,
I have three columns in my answers.
I want to develop the report mak –up looks like bellow.
Region Zone Amount Rank max(Amount Count(Amount)
010 010-11 10 2 15 3
010 010-12 5 3 15 3
010 010-13 15 1 15 3
011 011-14 30 1 30 2
011 011-15 25 2 30 2
- > Last count column is count of rows for Region.
Thanks,
Raja
In your repository create one amount logical column with the sum aggregation rule (SumAmount)
Then create a report with the following formules:
- Region
- Zone
- SumAmount
- Rank (SumAmount by Region)
- Max (SumAmount by Region)
- Count(Zone by Region)

How to display data with dynamic columns in JavaServerFaces?
I have a simple JSF application, where I click a button, it will display another page with data table of 2 columns and 3 rows of data. These data are hard coded for testing only.
In the jsp I will use like this:-
<h:dataTable
value="#{dataBean.users}"
var="record">
<h:column>
<h:outputText value="#{record.name}"/>
</h:column>
<h:column>
<h:outputText value="#{record.title}"/>
</h:column>
</h:dataTable>
Lets say, if my data cannot be defined in advance in terms of quantity and names, how should I write my jsp and how should I define in java program?
For example, instead of the columns name and title as in above, I will know the column names and the number of columns at run time, how should I do?You need a custom component in this case. There afew out there, you may want to check what is out there before you write your own

How to display more than one column with for each
Hi guys,
how to display more than one column with for each like below?

Item3
Item4

Item6
Item7
Item8
Item9
Item10
End for each
for each
Item1 Item2 Item3
Item4 Item5 Item6
Item7 Item8 Item9
Item10
End for eachTake a look at this to see if the solution provided would work for you: https://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/entry/multi_column_row_woes
Won't you have more than 10 records in your data file ? If you are going to have only 10 items then you may be able to use position() function to limit it to 3 each..
Take a look at this: https://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/entry/turning_rows_into_columns

How to display subtotals in separate column in alv report?

I am displayed the subtotals for QUantity field BDMNG in Reuse_alv_grid_display in the same column.
but I want to display subtotal in separate column.
How to display subtotals in separate column in alv report?
thanks®ards.
samba.kHi
As far as i know you can't do this,the option you have is to create one more column (subtotal) and populate it by manual calculation at every subtotal (not alv subtotal but yours) .

Edited by: 805629 on Jan 6, 2011 3:34 AMHi,
For PPR Report:
Select "Yes" in "Enable Partial Page Refresh" item of "Layout and Pagination" region in Report Attributes of that report.
For display Label with TOTAL:
Use "Break Formatting" region in Report Attributes of that report.

How to display horizontally to vertically column in oracle
Dear All
How to display horizontally to vertically column in oracle,Please give me Sol. ASAPSunil,
Which column is the sal column? I canât see any numeric columns in your query. If you use htmldb_item calls in your query column, then this makes them strings and you canât build sums on string columns. If you want to build sums in an updateable report / tabular form, then donât use the htmldb_item API. Instead use the built-in display types on the report column attributes page. Using the built-in display types is the better options in most cases anyway and they do allow you to calculate sums even if the column is a text field or display and save type field.

How to use INSERT with no column name specified?
I want to insert rows into a database table using JDBC's PreparedStatement. I want to specify all values for each row, so that in plain SQL I would not have to specify column names. I wonder if I can do same thing with JDBC in the same manner (it would save a lot of network traffic as far as I can understand)? The problem is:
I need to know the data types of the columns to use correct setXXX method on my PreparedStatement. For example: ps.setString() for CHAR data and ps.setBytes() for binary data. I can use Connection.getMetadata().getColumns(..,..,tableName,'%') to get column types for all columns in my table as a ResultSet. However but I am not sure if I get them in the right order, i.e. in the order in which the columns have been defined for the table in CREATE TABLE.
So it seems I have a tough choice: to get type information in order externally or to specify (and probably transfer via network) column names in each INSERT statement. :-(
Do I have a better choice? Any ideas will be highly appreciated.....if I get them in the right order, ....Only reason for that is if you are using a meta-data type solution. If you are then there is no solution. After all customer name and address are both just text. How could you tell which is first even if you had a way to handle the types?
But if your inserts are fixed then try using varchars (single ticked entries.) This depends on the database/driver. If is supported then you will have to use SimpleDateFormat to format dates/times in the correct format for the database or use a prepared statement with bind variables. -
How to display images from BLOB column via APEX 4.0
Hello,
I did the following in order to display images of two Oracle records on the APEX page. I am using APEX Version : 4.0.1.00.03 , Oracle DB Version : 10.2.0.4.0.
1. Created An oracle table TEST_FORM
with 3 columns
( ID number, MIME_TYPE varchar2(255) , Image BLOB )
2. Inserted two records
10001, image/gif, ( actual image1)
10002, image/gif, ( actual image2)
3. created an Oracle procedure
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE show_my_form ( p_image_id IN test_form.id%type) AS
l_mime test_form.mime_type%type;
l_length NUMBER;
l_file_name VARCHAR2 (2000);
lob_loc test_form.IMAGE%type;
BEGIN
SELECT mime_type, IMAGE
, DBMS_LOB.getlength (IMAGE)
INTO l_mime, lob_loc, l_length
FROM test_form
WHERE id = p_image_id;
owa_util.mime_header(l_mime, false);
htp.p ('Content-length: ' || l_length);
owa_util.http_header_close;
wpg_docload.download_file (lob_loc);
END show_my_form ;
4. In Apex 4.0
step1. Created an interactive report on a new APEX page
step2. Specified the following in the Region Source
select id, mime_type, '<img src="#OWNER#.show_my_form ?p_image_id=#ID#" />' photo
from TEST_FORM
The column result shows as <img src="CCS.show_my_form?p_image_id=#ID#" />
I am unable to display the column image as a link to a proper image photo.
Could you please advise me if I missed anything ?
Thanks a lot.
Regards
Susanna

Edited by: user10318332 on 13/12/2010 20:10Maybe the space you have before the ? is causing issues. there shouldn't be any space.
Your procedure looks to be much the same of one that I have.
Have you granted execute on your procedure?
Also, what version DB are you running? This could be another issue: http://daust.blogspot.com/2006/04/xe-calling-stored-procedures.html
But anyway, you don't need to create your own procedure these days. You could do the following:
in your query, have a column: dbms_lob.getlength(blob) photo ; save, then in column attributes for that column, apply a format mask. There is usually a link below the text box for the format mask - BLOB Download Format Mask, which will help you build the format mask. But it is documented here: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17556_01/doc/user.40/e15517/advnc.htm#BCGGJHEF

e-mail [email protected]How can I achieve this?
The solution should be more general for situation if many tabs are involved,....So do you expect a generalized SQL statement that handles are arbitrary number of tables with arbitrary column names?
It would be helpful if you provided DDL (CREATE TABLE ...) for tables involved.
It would be helpful if you provided DML (INSERT INTO ...) for test data.
It would be helpful if you provided expected/desired results & a detailed explanation how & why the test data gets transformed or organized. -

In the Source section of the report definition choose 'Use Generic Column Names (parse query at runtime only)' and then specify a suitable value for 'Maximum number of generic report columns:'

This surely seems to be a bug to me(if not by design), did you check for any SAP notes? Perhaps a front end trace can help(Note 407743) !

please help me how to do it in RDLC (asp.net and c#).....
Your help would be highly appreciated!
Thank you very much in advance!Hi M.S.GopalKrish,
According to your description, it seems that you want to make the tablix rows to fill page size? We can configure the text box height size to work around the issue.
Use this method, we need to calculate the average height size of the text box in the tablix. For more details, please see:
We can use
RowNumber() function to calculate the row number of the tablix.
Calculate the page height size of the tablix in Property windows.
Use the page height size divided by row number. We can get the average height size of the text box.
Hope this helps.

How to reference Item with Table Column
Hi Community,
we want to reference Table Column with an Item. This Item is a Select-List wich includes a Date. Befor doing something, you have to select this date. After that we want to create a new row in with a date-column. This date should be the same as in this Item. We are using a tool which is called HTML-DB. We reached that there is shown the date, but there is no value. It is an updateable report row.
How can we copy this value from the Item in this new column?
I am sorry for my english, but I hope everyone understands our problem.
Greez RobI did it another way. We are using an old HTML DB version (v1.6). And I think it is a bug to reference a date with a column. I have this opinion because we copied the table but we changed the format. we are using varchar instead of date, and it is working without problems.
We also tried &px_name and it didn't work.
Thx anyway!
