I am using Crystal report in my WPF application, I have generate Question Paper Report, in which have Question with images. Question with images are stored in SQL Server in rtf format, I want to generate Question report with RTF Text and Images in report

I am still Facing problem in Crystal report generation with RTF Data (Text + Images),
I am storing Questions in SQL Server which are RTF Format, Questions have Text + Images..
I changed field data type then also i didn't get image in Crystal report
if i browse an image n stored that in DB then its displaying in Crystal report, but when i pasted that image in RichTextBox and saved that in DB then no data displayed in Crystal report.
My Table Structure is
Table Name: tblQuestions
field : Questions Varbinary(max)
I tried with nvarchar(max) also but its aslo not working

1)i have created one database(access) as "Image" and into that one table as "Image" and field as "image"

I was working on Medical Imaging Company. The way we save the images in real-time was by writing the name and path of the images to database.
The images themselves where saved directly to disk.
I don�t think that access is very good in taking care of GBytes of data.
It happens some time that the database gets damage. If you have the images separately you can create fix procedure. (We had one).

display html text on a flex application.
I think there its better if you use the html component to
display the text. I have a sample code which will give you a

The only current way is to use an iFrame, or if you only need some html tags you could use the Text Layout Framework.

Does anyone know a tutorial where you can load an image from
a SQL database ?

how to load in from a SQL database using ASP.

MichealFlash cannot load images from an SQL database.
Flash can load JPEG, PNG, GIF, SWF, MP3, and FLV files.
An SQL database can be used to store the file names and their
location. ASP can retrieve that data from the SQL and return to
Flash to load the above file formats.
For Flash to do the communication with ASP you need to
determine if you are using URL Encoded or XML data structures.
For URL Encoded data you look at
LoadVars.sendAndLoad
For XML Encoded data you look at
XML.sendAndLoad
Then in their onLoad methods you use
MovieClip.loadMovie
to load JPEG, GIF, PNG and SWF;
Sound.loadSound
for MP3,
NetConnection.connect,
Video.attachVideo and NetStream.play for FLV.
For the ASP side the work with the database has nothing to do
with Flash other than using any search variable sent from Flash
with LoadVars.sendAndLoad or XML.sendAndLoad. In other words it
could be an HTML form sending the same variable and calling the
same ASP script. Same with returning values except with Flash only
URL Encoded or XML data structures are sent back and not
HTML. -

Failed to retrieve data from the database using Crystal Reports XI R2
I am using Crystal reports XI R2 and using the Universal Web Connector (connecting to Coghead). When I put some some of the fields from the database and run Preview I get "Failed to retrieve data from the database." . Where is this message coming from and how can I track down what the issue is?

When you are trying to Browse Data of a field it is not poping up any window menas, it is unable to interact with database and get the data from database.
Try to create a new report using ODBC with Xtreem Sample Database. If you get the data in your report without any error then your connector is not working / unable to pull the data into your report.

Exporting original creation dates with images from IPhoto 08
Hello experts: I'm trying to create an archival, file-based image storage structure outside of iPhoto 08 (7.1.5). When I use File/Export to add images to the archival file in the Finder, the resulting image is fine but the original creation date of the image is lost, being changed to a different, and later, date. I've tried ways of moving the image, including dragging, cut and paste, transferring the image to Aperture 2 and exporting, etc. and there's no joy. Any suggestions other than manual redos with A Better Finder Rename 8?

I suspect that you are confusing photos dates (stored in the EXIF data of the photo and viewable by photo programs) with the file dates which are viewable in file programs like the finder - the finder does not look at photo dates (EXIF) and photo programs do not look at the file date unless there is no EXIF data - the the file date is used by iPhoto

OPtion that I know is to load XML into a staginig table and create a view to point to this table.You can use utl_http in the database to call the webservice and display the result in a form item.

How do I remove [date].inprogress image from Time Machine image?
I had a restart on my time machine during the back-up. Since, then all back-ups fail. I think it has to do with the temp file that is created named [backup date and time].inprogress. Regardless, all the files are protected and cannot be deleted. I tried changing permissions, but that is not allowed. All fails.
Any guidance is much appreciated.

BabaOpen Time Machine preferences, click on the Options button. At the bottom of the exclusion list click on the Add [-] button, select the drive in the File dialog, click on the Exclude button. Understand that this configuration will only remain as long as the drive remains mounted.

I use JRun tags but you can use Oracle tags or just JDBC... First u need to install jdbs connection and set e connection by using JMC (For JRun) named nomad.

How to populate a page with images in across/down direction?

Does anyone know how to populate a page with images in across and down direction (for example 6 X 6 )? It seems that I cannot use data table because records are only running downward and each row can have one record.

You can create your own tabular form using APEX_ITEM API's
Create report and you can put similar code to following
SELECT APEX_ITEM.TEXT(1,col1) pk1, APEX_ITEM.TEXT(2,col2) pk2 FROM your_tableSo data will be displayed in TEXT boxes as if it's a tabular form. Now you need to handle INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE processes manually. You can easily handle INSERT and DELETE. But handling UPDATE can be a nightmare. What if user has updated both the column values?

One way out would be to use ROWID as Primary key to handle DELETE and UPDATE
