How to Display Specific ID in XML?

Hey Guys and Gals,
I've got the following XML that I'm trying to display:
<section id="0">
<sectionCat>Page Title</sectionCat>
<sectionDesc>
<![CDATA[
<fieldset><legend>TEST
TEST</legend></fieldset>
]]>
</sectionDesc>
<imgName></imgName>
</section>
There are 10 sections of XML in the file (section ID 0
through 9). Within one dataset, I just want to display the first
two sections. In a second dataset, I want to display the remaining
sections. How would I go about doing this? My dataset call looks
like this:
var dsSections = new Spry.Data.XMLDataSet("testfile.xml",
"/sections[section = '0']");
dsSections.setColumnType("sectionDesc", "html");
But that's of course not working .. Any suggestions?

This could help:

Looks like something like this should work for you:
"/sections[@section=1]"
Please note since I don't have the whole XML I am unable to
test it myself.

  • How to display system property in XML forms

    Hi
    We are using XML forms template for publishing news in KM. In the show form we got author field (a label in the form) which is mapped to system property createdby (PropertyReference = /Properties/default:createdby).But while displaying the form author is not getting populated. When I try to edit the form in XML forms builder in data model tab under properties node no property is visible. Nothing is shown up in properties even after reload option is selected from context menu of properties node.
    I cheked by manually editing PropertyReference to some other property (e.g. modifiedby) but nothing is showing up.
    Can you please suggest how the createdby system property can be shown in the xml form?

    Hi Sudeep,
    Please try to open the formbuilder in another machine and try to see the properties xml form design view.
    You can even directly can create a lable in show form and add the property name along with the nama space name.
    For default properties namspace is default.Create a lable UI element in show form and select the datasource property and add the property value in that.
    With we can show file related system generated properties in show form.

    The xsl transformation will output what you want, especialy xml (so html wont be a problem)
    In the case of the link you gave in your first post, if you look at the source, you'll see it is pure xml, with an xsl processing directive that tells the browser to make the transformation itself.
    You can do it this way (then your JSP should output xml)
    And you can do the transformation on the server side (the in your jsp, you'll transform an xml file with an xsl directly outputing on the jsp's outputstream)
    Example of an xsl transformation (server side):

  • How to display specific page based on type of user login? Urgent!!!

    I have 2 type of users e.g. Type1 and Type2 if Type1 user logs in i want to display a Type1Page page and if Type2 user logs in i want to display Type2Page page as home page.

    If you're setting the homepage in user preferences, I think you could do better. If they're "types" of users, set the default home page for their respective groups, not individual users.

    i ve included <xsl:output method="html" indent="yes" /> inside my xsl file. i clicked on output.xml file and everything is displayed correctly but the format is xml instead of html. is there anyway to transform it to html?

  • How to Display XML in a UIWebView?

    Hi everybody. I like how Safari displays XML files and I would like to emulate that functionality in an iPhone UIWebView. However, I just can't get it to look the same when passing a URL to the UIWebView.
    For example, take a simple XML file like http://molottery.com/rss-num.xml. Viewing that in Safari looks okay, but passing that same URL into a UIWebView just shows a blank page.
    I changed the web protocol from http to feed (feed://molottery.com/rss-num.xml) and it launches the page in Safari instead of my UIWebView. Looks good, but it quit my app... :- (
    I noticed that XML files on the iPhone get re-routed through reader.mac.com so I tried appending that to my URL (http://reader.mac.com/mobile/v1/http://molottery.com/rss-num.xml) but that did not work either.
    When I tried URLEncoding the string like Safari does (http://reader.mac.com/mobile/v1/http%3A%2F%2Fmolottery.com%2Frss-num.xml) I get a UIWebView saying that "This Application Is Viewable Only On iPhone".
    So how can I emulate the regular Safari XML functionality inside my UIWebView? I will post my code upon request, if that will help. Any assistance from the Developer Community would be greatly appreciated.

    One way of doing that is to use JDOM...
    u create an xml tree, and then output using XMLOutputter class...it will be displayed in text...im not sure if thats what u want...however, if u do want to represent it visually then u may need to draw a tree...u may use the Graphics2D for that...there are alot of ways to do such thing, and the 2 possibilities arent the best...depends on what u want...elaborate more pls.
