How to display SubVI on secondary monitor using remote panels?

I am trying to have a SubVI called from a Main VI open on a secondary monitor.  I am using Remote Panels to control my Main application, which is opened in a web browser on the secondary monitor.  I have tried setting the VI Properties - Window Run-Time Position - Monitor to "1" and also tried setting this value programatically using the Front Panel Property Node but neither seems to work.  My SubVI still appears on my primary monitor.
I'm using LV 8.6.1 RT and my application is running on a CRIO.
I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks
Dan

Mike,
All the SubVI does is prompt the user for some text.  The front panel is a simple string control.  The SubVI is called from my Main application (not using VI Server) and I have the Window Properties for the SubVI set so that the front panel opens when called, and closes when finshed.  The SubVI displays teh fornt panel when called but does not open a new browser window.  I have attached the SubVI in case you want ot have a look.

Does anyone know how to display (in LabVIEW) the memory use during execution of an image and data acquisition VI to predict when it is time to cease the acquisition to prevent the program crashing?
I am acquiring images and data to a buffer on the edge of the while loop, and am finding that the crashing of the program is unpredictable, but almost always due to a memory saturation when the buffers gets too big.
    I have attached the VI.

  • Tecra M5: How to auto enable the secondary monitor?

    Hi,
When I dock my Tecra M5 with the screen open and turn it on, I would like it to automatically enable the secondary monitor, and set it to the primary monitor. Currently, when docking it does not do this - and I have to manually enable the second monitor, and then set it to primary.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Fraser

    Hi Fraser
As far as I know its not possible to set the external monitor as a primary display on booting.
But what graphic card is installed in your notebook?
On the Toshiba website I have found a new release of Intel display driver.
But is it possible to enable automatically the external display and set it to the primary monitor without using the docking station?

  • Is there a way to set up a secondary monitor using an Envy 15t-j000 touchscreen with Windows 8

When I purchased my laptop, I was told that I could use a secondary monitor to view multiple documents, spreadsheets, websites, etc.  I was also told that there would be a connection on the laptop, but there wasn't.

    Hi Phoenix,
I think you might enjoy reading this article:
What is the Difference Between HDMI and DVI? Which is Better?
Below is a short article about each type of connection:  VGA, DVI, HDMI
Essentially, what you get, how much hassle you go through to understand and make a choice, is based on what you expect from the connection.  VGA is low-res, dependable, and has been around the longest of the three types.
Decide Between VGA, DVI, and HDMI for Your Monitor Connection
I have not had any problems with any monitor when trying to connect it to Windows 8 -- the underpinings to Windows 8 are built from Windows 7.  My experience:  If the Monitor will connect to one, it should work on the other.
Some issues I have had with monitor connections include:
Nvidia graphics on a Win7 machine that had to be down-reved to work with one monitor (circa 2010?)
Irritating issues with the screen aspect ratio on a monitor that is forced to be connected to a system with a different native resolution than that of the monitor -- Do-able, just ps-ant irritating
Switching from one system to another when the monitor is connected to two separate notebooks that are up and running at the same time -- the "switch" is more seemless on some monitors than with others
Note that none of these issues are "show stoppers" for my purposes:  I am not a gamer.

  • How to display RTF File in Browser Using Servlets/JSPs

    Hi All,
I have some RTF Files, which contains some data.
The data needs to be displayed in the frame of jsp page .
How i can display the RTF File Content using either servlets/jsps
Can any body have idea on this.
    Help me out on this.
    With Regards
    Hari

If you only need to display it, consider your HttpServletRequest just as byte stream. :) Just read from ServletInputStream and write it back into ServletOutputStream of HttpServletResponse.
If you want to process incoming XML, please give some details first, what exactly you want to do. :)

  • How to display 2560x1080 on external monitor from MBP or MBA?

Is there any way to make MBP 17 (Intel HD and nVidia GT graphics, SnowLeo) or MBA 13 (Mountain Lion) display 2560x1080 on external monitor (LG 29" ultrawide)? My MacPro with RadeonX1900 card (10.5.8) does it perfectly but I cannot find a way to get the laptops to do it. Tried res. switching apps, still no good. Thanks.

It worked perfect for me. Maybe settings should be different for your laptops. In my case I'm using a MBP 15" with a GeForce 330M.
    The monitor I have is the LG 29EA93 (21:9) @ 2560 x 1080.
Make sure you have exactly same values in Switch Res X. Special attention to "Scan rate".
You can see in the capture below that it's working
and, just in case, here you have the settings that worked for me
It might be also different for each video card...

  • How to display an Adobe Print form using FM's FP_JOB_* in WebDynpro

    Hi Experts,
I have requirement to display an Adobe Interactive form on clicking of an UI element on the Webdynpro screen. I am using FM's FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME, FP_JOB_OPEN and FP_JOB_CLOSE from report and it works fine. How to use this Fm's in Webdynpro to display that PDF.
    Thanks in advance,
    Pradeep Reddy

    Hello,
thtis is not how it works. You don´t use this coding to display the form in WD. In fact WD is handling the form itself. If that is a print form, you just need to place the Interactive form element on your WD screen, specify the template source (the form template) and do the coding in WD init. And there is no problem if the form is SFP based.
If this one is an interactive one, you need to set enable to true and do NOT use SFP based template. Also use the right form elements according to your layout type (ACF, ZCI), for ZCI insert the WD script.
I can provide some more details if there will be any other problem/ detail.

  • How do I set my secondary monitor to automatically default to grid mode?

I'm using Lightroom 3.2 and everytime I open the app to either import photos or work on the ones I already have imported it defaults to grid mode on primary monitor and full mode on my secondary.
Is there a way to tell Lightroom to do the opposite. Have the secondary monitor default to grid mode and the main window default to full mode.  This would make it more intuitive and more efficient when switching between library and develope modes.

  • Firefox freezes when opened on secondary monitor using default profile. Other profile okay.

Windows 7. Firefox 28.0. Hardware acceleration is off in both profiles.
Default profile behaves normally in the primary monitor (I have two monitors). When I open the default in the secondary monitor, it appears to be at maximize size but only the top bar of the screen is visible. If I shrink it, it locks up, but I can slide it over to the primary monitor where it then works normally.
If I open it in the primary monitor then move it to the secondary, it shows in a less than full screen. When I maximize it, a duplicate screen partially opens and both freeze, and menus freeze when I open them. I can slide it back to the primary where it works normally.
My other profile is an old one with all the bookmarks, settings and history. It works fine on both monitors.

  • How to: display large error note in the front panel?

    hi guys,
When "error out" has an error, I would like to display HUGE RED TEXT in the FRONT PANEL saying: "STOP, ERROR DETECTED!"  )
    How to do that?
    Thanks for your help.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Place an indicator on the panel. Set the text to HUGE and RED, and set its value to "STOP, ERROR DETECTED!". Make it not visible. When you get an error, use the "Visible" property node to display it.
