How to do quadrature decoding using DAQCard6062E?
Hi,
My name is Xiaofei, a beginner of LabVIEW. Now i am dealing with a project involving quadrature decoding by using DAQ Card 6062E and breakout board CB68LP. We need to use 2 optical encoders simutaneously, and for each encoder, we need to use 3 digital channels (A,B and Index), therefore there will be totally 6 digital channels in use. For this reason, is it still good to use the counter channel? or we'd better use 6 DIO?
I'm not sure if there is any existing VI that can help us with decoding, if there is, could you please let me know how we can find it?
If we will need to make the decoding code by ourselves, could you please give me some hint so that we can start it?
I heard that there should be an example called "How to Count.vi" that shows how to decode, however i failed to find it by using example finder, so does anyone know how to find it?

Our 6062E DAQ cards can be used with either our DAQmx drivers or our older
Traditional DAQ (Legacy) drivers. The example that I've provide below is
for use with our DAQmx driver set. If you’re using Traditional DAQ
drivers I would recommend upgrading to our newest DAQmx drivers. You can
click here
for help determining what version of DAQmx works with your version of LabVIEW.
To do hardware timed quadrature encoder applications you will want to use the
counters on your 6062E DAQ card. Click here for a guide to
using quadrature encoders on E-series DAQ cards. Unfortunately, our
E-Series cards do not support Z-indexing as described in the following
developer zone tutorial: Quadrature
Encoder / Position Measurement. However, you should be able to use
your encoders without using Z-indexing. Each of your encoders will
use one counter source and one digital line for your A and B inputs. The
counters will count the edges of the A input while the digital line determines
the direction (Up or Down). A good example can be in the example finder
under the following location: (Help » Find Examples » Hardware Input and Ouput
» DAQmx » Counter Measurements » Count Digital Events » Count Digital Events.vi).
This example should give you a good start for use with encoder. You will
just want to replicate the code for your additional encoder.

Don't be afraid because of the BNC-2120. It is just used in this example to simulate the pulses from a device. So it is not needed in your case. Obviously, you will need to change the number of increments/rev according to your encoder to get correct RPM values. -
High frequency quadrature decoder (NI PCI 6221)
Hello, i would like to ask you about high frequency quadrature decoder. I am using module in DAQmx for measuring linear position. For this i am using NI PCI 6221. My problem is that i want to use this for my interferometer and we need really high speed. So I tried to use External timing whitch should be possible for this card up to 80MHz. Unfortunatelly i always will get error message that there is some kind of owerflow and my program crashes. So my question is how to get all data form this card. I know that the buffer size FIFO is only 2 so if it is impossible to get all data so i want find another solution. Is it possible let my card work alone on 80MHz and only repeatly rewrite all buffer and just sometime ask this card for sending current buffer. I dont really need all the data, but when i will ask i need to know reall position. This high speed is really necessary because my interferometer is sensitive and i dont wat to lose any steps. If there would be any possibility how to work on 80MHz and only sometime ask for sending data with position, it would be great. Sometimes i will ask not for only current position but for full buffer because i want so see what is happening during some time period, but this task will be only sometime.
Dear BMAJTZ,
The counter frequency (the maximum speed available) is configured by the Task in the background. In our case, the counter is set to detect edges, so it always uses the maximum speed available. If an edge occurs, the count value increases by 1, and this accumulated count value (stored as a binary number) is read by the DAQmx Read VI, and converted to meters. So if your encoder input is slow enough for the 80 MHz card to handle, you won't miss any ticks, even if you only read the value occasionally.

Also if you can tell me the approximate frequency of your encoder signal, and how often you nedd the position info, I can do some benchmarking for you to see if your card is capable of the task.

How can I send email using two different email address that both link back to my one exchange account on my Ipad mini?
On my PC I simply have a master return email address and use a POP for the secondary address. Both are through the one exchange account without a problem. I need to be able to do the same on my Ipad.Ah, I should have made that clear. My domain didn't come from google. It was purchased at and is hosted at dreamhost, but I haven't used their email servers in years - I just route everything through gmail. I actually have a bunch of domains (with websites).
Gmail has an option that lets someone with custom domains send (and receive) email through gmail using the custom domain once Google confirms proper ownership of the domain (to prevent spammers and such). Gmail has a setting for "send email as" which allows gmail to be sent using a custom domain as the sender. I'm pretty sure Apple's old mobileme had this feature too, but I didn't use it. -
How Many Times Can I Use The Same Serial Number For Adobe Creative Suite 4?
I have design standard and was told I can use the same serial number on multiple computers. How many time can I use it? And say I install it on the maximum number of computers, but get a new computer, can I uninstall it on one of the old computers and use it on the new one? And can I use the programs on both computers simultaneously or do I have to use them one at a time?

Sorry Fred you are wrong.
If you have a single license you can install it on as many computers as you like. you can only activate the suite on two computers at anyone time. Work and Home or as many of us do it Desktop and Laptop. You can not use the computers simultaneously. You only have 20 activation/deactivations so use them wisely. Student versions only have one activation. You can not break up the suite installs the suite is considered one application. -

I have IMac OSX 10.9.4, 4GB,Processor 3.06 with Intell2Duo. I would like to check for Malware. I run a TechTool Pro 6 every month and that comes up great.
When check how much memory I am using, with only Safari open I am using 3.9 and more of her 4.0 memory. She is very. very slow in processing. I had 4000
trash to clean out and it took her over an hour to expel. Also for some reason Safari will not allow me to click on a link, in my G-mail, and let it go to the page.
It has a sign saying a pop-up blocker is on and will not let me do it. I must open the stamp to look at my e-mails and if I have redirected link now I can do it.
I have not changed my preferences so where is this pop-up blocker?
I have looked at preferences on Safari and Google, which I do not understand Google, and do not see where this blocker could be.
Malware is something I want to make sure is not on my computer. Tech Tool Pro 6 is all I know of and it does not detect Malware.

When I insert a lightscribe DVD/CD into a lightscribe optical drive, then when I click to open the DVD, I faced this error 'How do you want to use this disc', although the DVD was full of data. When opening these
lightscribe DVD/CD via NON lightscribe optical drive, I noticed that the DVD/CD opened well without any problems at all.
Also, how can the System show to me 'How do you want to use this disc' , in particular when a DVD is non rewritable(DVD-R) and also contains data)?
Bear in mind, not all DVDs/CDs were not detected. However, only full lightscribe discs' (having data)
However, even blank lightscribe discs were detected without problems. When insert a lightscribe disc having data, then I faced that error. However, when inserting blank lightscribe discs I found that the disc were opened. Also,
non lightscribe discs were opened well.
When checking the device manager, I didn't see any issue with DVD/CD drive. If there were a problem unrecongnising, then I would have seen 'a remarkable mark' in front of it.
Note: I have faced this problem after trying formating a rewritable CD inserted onto the drive. Althouthg the format failed, all data on the disc was deleted. Anyway, after that, then inserting full-lightscribe discs are unregonised
Do you think the problem wth my optical drive. IF so, I would be saying why it wasn't happened with all other non lightscribe discs. If my lightscrib discs were corrupted, then why would they have opened well on another laptop.
I have done:

yes there is a virtual CloneDrive program installed on my PC, however, there is no any CD mounted into it. Even if a CD was mounted into Virtual Clondrive, there would be no problem at all, because the virtual CloneDrive is used to only
mount ISO disc images into it, and not physical discs.

FIRST OF ALL:
My HP Pavilion Laptop is about 3 years old.
My
sister's Dell Inspiron laptop is 3 years old.
My HP lapotp is well-cared, as opposed to my sister's Inspiron Dell laptop,
which is always thrown in dust without caring at all. Also, its battery is
always inserted even when it is fully charged while the laptop is plugged in to
the main power supply.
However, my laptop is either used on only battery, or on plugin. Also, it is
kept from the dust.
But, I really found that the battery of the Dell laptop
still lasts about three and half hours, and there is no problem cooling fan is
not oproperly preporly.
I only remember one thing differently done on my laptop battery which is I
charged it fully, then I stored it without using it for about four months, then
when I reused it, I found it got worse over time. I.e. first time of using it
after storing,I found it empty, then I charged it again fully, however, then it
lasted about 2 hours, then 1 and half hours, next an hour, now it is only
lasting about 20 minutes without performance. If there is high performance, then
the computer shuts down suddenly.
My problem is follows:::
First: Whenever I inserted any Containing Data OR Data
CD/DVD-R LightScribe discs, I found that HP optical driver was
unable to read them. When clicking on the optical disc drive
'duble-click', then I find that disc opens as this way(NOT: With a CD/DVD player
is grayed out)

I tried running the below command line to fix potential disk issue 'Chkdsk

I cleaned the drive, discs, and so on.
I have uninstalled the all third-party data recording software.
I have uninstalled the Cyber DVD suite, lightscribe system software which
came pre-installed with my HP pavilion Notebook.
I have recovered my system from the Factory Recovery discs.
I have tried opening all those LightScibe discs not opening on my HP optical
drive, on a Dell optical drive, and all of them were opened well, although Dell
optical drive did not have a lightscribe feature at all., nor third party disc
recording software
However, the problem is still with opening the discs LIGHT-SCRIBE
Thus, my questions are:
How to determine if the drive is corrupted and needs to be replaced with
another one.
I think there something needed to be done on the BIOS Of my HP
laptop[[[A similar problems happened on my Desktop computer's optical
drive which is as follows:::(ALL discs are opened as empty by Optical Drive of
My Desktop Computer) ---while my optical drive of my desktop was connected to
the primary slave IDE, and the HDD was connected to the
primary master IDE, the optical drive and hard disk are functioning
well. However, I remember that while burning an image with Nero essential V: 5,
something went wrong, and then the Optical Drive of My Desktop Computer
(HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GH22NP20) became NOT recognised/Installed on
BIOS, although it was still shown on the device manager as a
recognised device. Also, it was listed on my computer, however, when entering a
disc(blank or with data) into the drive, I found it was not recognised, and it
opened empty(no files at it), although it contains data. Thus, I decided to boot
to BIOS, and clicked on 'Autodetection for IDE', then I found that only HDD was
still shown as installed on BIOS. However, the optical drive was not. Th I tried
clicking on it on BIOS and then clicking on 'enter' to try to let the device be
re-recognized. However, that made no difference. I had to take part my computer
,and then reconnected the optical drive onto the secondary slave
IDE , and let HDD connected to the same primary master IDE.
Then, I found that the problem solved and all discs became being read
normally. Aslo, optical drive became installed on BIOS]]]

Can someone please explain to me in detail how to set-up and use FAMILY Sharing, none of the information I have so far found in the documentation helps at all, in fact it puts you in a constant loop giving the same information over and over again
We have quite a few devices from ipads, iphones and ipods and I need to set-up Family Sharing.
We have our main Apple ID which is linked to our Payment method, I have now got my son a new iPad, I have created his Apple ID and set-up a link via FAMILY Sharing to our main Apple ID.
From what I read we should be able to share our purchased Apps between family members.
So I figured I would be able to get the Apps now via iTunes that are part of the FAMILY Sharing, however when I go into ITunes (latest version downloaded yesterday) I can only see the Home sharing menu item not FAMILY Sharing, so I cannot work out in Itunes how to get Apps that are FAMILY shared. So ok I will try and get Apps directly via the Ipad using the App Store. To test it is working I look for a known paid for App, I then go to download it and it is now asking me to pay for it again.
Can someone please explain to me in detail how FAMILY Sharing is supposed to work and how I get it to work please.

Included, you’ll find information on making sure the accounts are set to "Share my purchases”, as well as information on downloading Family Member purchases from the iTunes Purchased section. Please note that some applications are not shareable.

Link the contacts in one user account to a online cloud based system like Google or apples iCloud and then link the second user to that same online account. This could cause some slight problems if both people maintain their own online account to either of those systems on a phone or pad.
