How to enable a trusted site from the terminal?

I have a group of about 100 Macs, with Safari 7.
I would like to be able to via script, to configure Safari to open specific sites automatically when a PDF is open. Is there a default write command that allows me to do this?

I have no problem compiling my NB projects from the terminal.
It could possibly be a classpath problem is the reason you are getting your errors. However, I cannot speculate much more unless you post the error output you are getting.

At least in this case, it's just a textfile. The 'file' command shows it to be:
file /Library/Scripts/iChat/Auto\ Decline.applescript
/Library/Scripts/iChat/Auto Decline.applescript: Mathematica, or Pascal, Modula-2 or 3 code text

Hello All,
I am looking for a way to join/concat .mov files into a single .mov file. We are currently using Quicktime Player to do this, but I am looking for a way to run the from a terminal in a script.(not AppleScript) How can I do this? Or if the easiest way to do this is with a short AppleScript/Droplet, how can I call that from a terminal and pass in the file list to concat?

Freeware MPEG Streamclip (http://www.squared5.com/) includes an easy-to-use batch join utility. It's not run in Terminal, of course, but it's simple.

Please is not in pfile that you enable/disable archive log mode.
For ENABLE Archivelog mode:
shutdown immediate
startup mount
alter database archivelog;
alter database open;
For DISABLE Archivelog mode:
shutdown immediate
startup mount
alter database noarchivelog;

Enable deactivated productiove password from the backend

Hi Experts,
Does any one know how to enable deactivated productive password from the back end. The scenario is administrator him self not logged in continuously for 90 days and the login/max_idle_productive is set to 90 days and login/password_expiration_time set to 60days and the productive password got deactivated.
We can do this by deleting sap* and relogin sap* and reset the password. But I want to know how to do from the backend.
I tried this.
updated schemaname.usr02
set pwdstate=0 where bname='XXXX' and mandt='000';
commit,
But this didn't work. I know the id is not locked. Thatswhy I didn't set uflag to 0.
Appreciate if anyone could help on this?

Sorry, but this is a wrong assumption.
Only password-based authentication is effected by passwords and their status (locked, expired, ...).
In any case you experience problems to logon to an ABAP server, kindly use the tracing approach described in [SAP Note 495911 |https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/495911]to analyse the cause.
By the way: the trigger for this feature (to specify after which time of not using a password it shall no longer be usable for authentication) is an Italian law. So, it's mandatory for Italian customers but optional for all others to make use of that feature.

Sending mail from the terminal app

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to send an email message from the terminal app. I've been trying to figure it out from the man pages and a book I bought, but I can't get anywhere. I don't mean using OSX Mail, but composing an email message and sending to someone else.
I've been trying to make sense of the man pages (mail and sendmail), and tried to, for example send a message to my gmail account, according to what I thought I understood from the man pages:
mail [[email protected]]
Subject: Test (then I pressed control -D)
EOT
Null message body; hope that's ok
but when I check my gmail account, there's nothing there.
What am I missing?

If I get a chance, I'll look into it again later tonight.

How can I add a trusted site in Safari to access our secure Sharepoint site from the internet?

My company has a secure sharepoint site that we access from the internet that requires our Active Directory logon. The Safari on the iPad does not allow you to add the URL as a trusted site and thus it prompts you for your username and password multiple times when navigating to various content. The solution for full blown browsers is to just add the URL as a trusted site in your browser security settings. Is there a work around for this or will Apple perhaps add this capability to add trusted sites to the mobile version of Safari?

Non-Windows browsers do not have a concept of a "trusted" site. In Windows, IE and Chrome do not repeatedly prompt for credentials because they use the user's login credentials on the desktop. Other devices do not have this capability. Instead,
you need to use something like ADFS to authenticate users.

It should be around 7 and a half gigs. In iTunes, across the bottom there should be a bar that show how much storage is being used and by what. (music, movies, apps, etc.) To make music take up less room, you can check the box to make it convert the music to 128kbps AAC. This lowers the quality, but with most earbuds and speakers, you can't even tell the difference.
The iPod touch has parental controls built in. You'll find them in Settings. I think they only work for enabling/disabling Safari, Mail, YouTube, and App Store. Here's an app that does more: http://www.mobicip.com/online_safety/ipod_touch

I aggree It's rather annoying that you can't remove these features when like me you never use them, however by far the most annoying part of this is that when you go into 'Customize Toolbar' you can actually add yet a second 'Show Top Sites' feature to the toolbar !! 2. DELETE all but his
3. PROBLEM is, they DELETE from the internet
4. then I have to re-upload all the sites again???
this sounds scary!

The me.com website is not designed for or intended to be accessed by iOS devices. Apple provides support in iOS or seperate Apps for accessing all aspects of MobileMe except for the Accounts section.
Use MobielMe as intended and you'll have no problems.

Even if you use a different browser to get access to me.com on iOS, you'll find most of it is unusable.
Other websites that present you with the mobile version have been programmed to do so by their developers. They specifically look for users accessing from 'mobile' devices and switch to the mobile site. Many such sites provide a link to go back to the 'full' site, if not, there's not a lot you can do except use a browser that can pretend not to be a mobile browser.

How do I remove unwanted updates from the App Store? So you understand better what I'm referring to:
I have the App Store icon in the Dock. When there's an update a red number appears on said icon. Well, I went to check on the updates and it's for 4 different applications I either no longer have or use. One of them is an update for Lion OS users. I'm still on Snow Leopard, so it doesn't even apply to me.
So there they sit... I'm not going to download the updates... so how do I get rid of them?

If there are updates available for apps you have deleted, try this.
Go to ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore
Move the Cache.db and Updates files from the com.apple.appstore folder to the Trash.
Empty the Trash, restart your Mac.
For any apps you still have installed but do not use, the updates will still be available from the Updates top of the App Store window and show on the red badge on the App Store icon in the Dock.

In iTunes 11 how do you get Genius recommendations from the iTunes store. It would appear that I can only get Genius recommendations from my own library. This was easy in iTunes 10 and enabled me to find lots of good artists I had never heard of.

Basically it seams they got rid of the whole side bar concept of things to make it all more streamline, understandable but I know atleast for myself that genius sugestion for any song is how I found new artists and songs I never knew existed.
If you go to the Album the go to "In the Store" it will give you a recomendation for that album... not exaclty what you might be looking for but atleast its something, if anyone else has a way to get genius sugestions for individual songs I am all ears and would love to hear about it.
