How to enable Custome Attribute

We wanted to create custome attribute for Version dimension in planning appliction but this option is disabled in planning web for this dimension property.
How to enable the custome attribute option for version dimension in Hyperion Planning application(11.1.2.1).

Hi,
I'm not sure at all, but due to te fact that Version is a specific planning dimension, you may not add an attribute dimension on it.
If in Planning Administration, Dimensions page, you select your version dimenion. If you click on dimension, do you see a button "add attribute" appearing ? You may try on Entity dimension.
If you see it in Entity, and not in Version so it means you can't add an attribute.

I like to know how to add the Custom Attributes in the SOAP header for OSWM username token authentication.
Currently we are getting the header element like

Hi Jay, you can make it in more than 1 way.
I suggest you the following:
- create an URL iview that points to any URL you want.
- define a Resource that points to the iview (with a window name, to open in new window)
- define an Area that points to the resource
- add your new Area to the your current Area Group

1)     go to Configuration tool (C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC02\j2ee\configtool\consoleconfig.bat)
2)     For Global server configuration->services->com.sap.security.core.ume.service define property ume.admin.addattrs as BU_PARTNER and for ume.admin.self.addattrs as <empty>. (to set value select entry, input value in Value field and click Set)
3)     Click Apply changes button on the toolbar.
4)     Restart server.
5)     Login to http://<server_name>:<server_port>/useradmin/index.jsp and define BU_PARTNER property.

As you said, the command Dsmod user can be used to modify attributes of one or more existing users in the directory. However, this command could not be used to modify the custom attribute, its syntax has been set.
You can use builted in Active Directory Attribute Editor to modify a user's attribute:
Open Active Directory Users and Computers.
Locate the User container, and then find the user which you want to modify.
Right-click the user, click Properties, and then click the tab
Attribute Editor.
Slect the attribute which you want to modify, click Edit, modify the value, and then
click OK to save the change.

How to migrate custom attribute from OID to RHDS

I am migrting my server from Oracle Internet Directory (OID) to Red Hat Directory Server (RHDS 8.1). I need to export the schema containing custom objectclass and attributes. I also need to migrate the entries. Can anyone tell me how can I do these exporting and importing task?
I also have orclaci attribute set for groups. Does RHDS support the attribute?

You can also do it like this.
run dsc <program name> => Copy the output to a .txt file and in the end of this txt file after "END" insert a enter.
upload this file to physical location of a oracle directory(ensure that the user has access to this directory).
Now from olap worksheet run
infile <txt file name>;upd;commit;

How to create custom attributes & object classes through ldif files in OID

I have to create 4 attributes and one object class(custom) in OID. I want to creae these attributes and object class through LDIF file.
I tried creating an attribute through this command
ldapadd -p 389 -h localhost -D cn=orcladmin -w password -f D:/newattr.ldif
this ldif file contains inf. for creating a new attributes:

I am getting error: Object class violation
Failed to find add in mandatory or optional attribute list.

Thank you for the help. Now i am able to create both attributes and object classes in OID through Ldif files.
I was getting constraint violation error because (I think) I was not giving proper naming convection for attributes and object classes. For OID, there are certain Ldap naming conventions. They are as follows:

1.3.6.1.4.1.X.2.1 - assign to LDAP syntaxes

1.3.6.1.4.1.X.2.10 - assign to LDAP controls
1.3.6.1.4.1.X.2.11 - assign to LDAP extended operations
By using these conventions for attributes and object class, I did got any error and they were created in OID.

How to Enable Custom Java Scripts for forms in Planning 11.1.2.2

I am working on Planning 11.1.2.2 right now.
Planning admin guide says, there is no explicit requirement to enable java Script for planning forms.
I set simple alert to see text "Hello World" in function validateForm() function in custom/validateData.js file - to see and test that alert when I save data for my selected application/form.
Closed javascript file and workspace, and planning application web page. Since I have not to do anything new to enable this java script alert, I opened that form and saved data to see if I can see my alert.. I got no alert, except "data are saved".
Has anything changed since last version? Am I missing something? Or, do I need to recycle services to get this alert?

Not sure what I missed, but I still have a hard time finding my "Hello World" alert.
What I did, is here.
a. Cleared all cookies and temp files from IE.
b. Updated validateData.js file from ear / war files using 7-zip program at given path from your link.
c. Stopped EPM services
d. Dropped tmp folder.
e. Started EPM services and let system deploy ear file (with my java script code).
All services are up. I can see EAR file deployed and java script file ValidateData.js has all my changes in new tmp folder now.
I am able to open my application and form.
But, my "Hello World" alert is still not appearing. Form is saved and saw message as usual.
One exception I noticed in my path. I have ....user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\EPMServer0\.... in place of ....user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\Planning_0\.... in my path. Planning_0 is replaced by EPMServer0 in this version. Rest is all same.

I doubt whether there exists such note. The note 1026956 which you mentioned is for enhancing the Search for Custom attributes. For Enhancing the Result list you need to do custom development.

How to hide the Attribute dimension from Planning webform

I am in Planning 9.3.1
We are using members in row section of webform w.r.t Attribut dimension
so when we are viewing the webform- it is displaying member name followed by Attribute dimension name .
any way to hide that Attribute dimension member from the webform.

In the Dimension Properties for that dimension, select "Enable custom attribute display" but dont pull the attribute from Available Dimensions to Selected Dimensions. I've given the name of the property from 11.1.1.3 version, so not sure if its the same in 9.3.1 but it'll be somewhat similar.

This error indicated that the property is not exist in the UserProfile properties. I think you need first to check out the "ZipCode" has been created in your default user profile.
