How to expose model node to other dc

hi, now i want to expose model node to other dc. so i create data link from interface controller to model.in fact,the model node is exposed to other dc,but when i use it, i can not use it. please tell me the right way to do it.thanks

Hi Puneet
Write a method in the interface controller of DC1 where you have created your message pool. This method should take the Message id as input and return the message string.
Expose this interface as the public part and try accessing the message pool from this exposed method. Evey time you call this method just pass the message id.
Use the local component messagemanager to display the message.

    i need some clarification regarding exposing the model node!! Can we expose the model nodes so that it could be mapped across different DCs.
    i tried using this concept but when I use this dc in another dc, it gives me error regarding wdContext etc.

  • How to clear model node input table data?

    hi experts,
              i am developing one application, which updates database table. i am having one table having all claimids as column, in of view. when i click on any of the claimid, it moves to second details view of that claim id having header and item details in seperate two tables on view.right. that second view is having addrow, deleterow and save button .
              what i am facing problem is : when i add any row it works, delete any row it works and modify item details and save it , it works first time perfectly . bt when second time, i click on same claimid from first view and comes to details view and make any changes in item table and try to save it, it should save whatever is there at that time on table. Bt it takes new item values and as well as old one , all the time.
                 In backend , i passed that table and claimid and what i do , i delete all the item details with that claimid  and insert new one . backend works fine.
    I have disconnect the model instance as well....
    wdContext.currentZbapi_Gen_Clm_Write_InputElement().modelObject().modelInstance().disconnectIfAlive();
    any idea?
    Plz.
    Saurin Shah

    Hi Saurin,
    It seems that context node value not been clear out.
    try to invialidate your node before submitting(Saveing) new value to context node On your details view scrren,.
    NodeName().Invalidate();
    or
    for(int i=NodeName().size(); i++){
    NodeName.removeElement( NodeName .getElementAt(i));
    Thanks

  • X61T - How similar are models to each other for swapping parts purposes?

    I recently purchased an X61 Tablet at auction and am loving it. I got a great deal and it is exceeding my expectations already. (This isn't my first ThinkPad, though.)
    However, part of getting a great deal on it is that it isn't perfect. It was sold as surplus, and saw years of constant use before it made its way into my hands. There are a few things wrong with it that I've noticed, including:
    The center latch is loose. It locks, but it feels like someone who hadn't used a ThinkPad before pulled up on the top HARD a few times instead of using the switch.
    The slot where the pen goes doesn't have a way of ejecting the pen: the piece that grabs on to the pen's clip had broken off and was blocking the entire slot, so I removed it. The way the part broke means that there is no easy way to reattach it.
    I would like to get these fixed, eventually. Now for my actual question:
    How similar are the different models of X61T to each other?
    My computer is a 7764-CTO. I was thinking about just buying a 'for parts' X61T for these plastic pieces and to have some pieces to keep it alive for as long as possible. I'm assuming that the CTO ('configure-to-order') doesn't matter much and that any 7764 should work, but would a different model (e.g. 7767-XXX) be similar enough to buy for parts? I have reviewed the Hardware Maintenance Manual and they sometimes list different FRUs. However, it is difficult to tell to which FRU a part belongs (particularly the above parts). Moreover, I imagine that the FRUs may have different numbers but be functionally equivalent on occasion.
    For practical purposes of cannibalizing parts from one X61T to another, how similar are the different models (776X) to each other? I would hate to buy a 'for parts' computer and have slight differences render it useless for my purposes. Thanks!

    X60T has a different (albeit swappable) LCD assembly, and utterly different palmrest and keyboard bezel. Couldn't tell you about the pen resting area since I've never looked into that...

  • How to find Property Nodes in other VI's

    I am working on an application that I have inherited from others. It has huge, and in my opinion, very complicated and difficult to follow block diagrams. Here is the essence of the problem I am facing. On the main front panel there are various controls and indicators, but on the block diagram, none of them are wired to anything. So that means that (whomever it was before me) used property nodes on these controls and indicators. However, it looks like none of the references exist anywhere within the same .vi.
    I have used the "Find reference" selection, but that only seems to work within the current .vi that I am already in. So I guess I have two questions...
    1 Is there a way to search aross multiple VI's for a reference to a conrol or indicator?
    2. To set up a program in such a way seems completely "bonkers" to me, as there is now no easy way to find where any of the controls or indicators are actually being set from. Considering there are something like 100 .VI's in this project, finding something is a bit challenging. Of course, there is not documentation of any sort. I am certainly NOT a labview expert. Perhaps there really IS a reason to set things up this way, that I am just not thinking of. Can anyone think of reasons why it might be a good idea to set things up that way? I would think that whenever possible you would want to wire directly to a control or indicator. And if you cannot do that, at least have the reference in the same .vi, and pass it into something else if needed.
    Thanks....
    Dan

    Finding the where used cases for named queues and where obtained cases for vi server references to controls can get frustrating.  The "find" feature in LabVIEW does allow text searches with several options.
    Finding the String "<QueueName>" within the application instance on BD only and ignoring hidden stuff gets you to string constants that are exact matches to the queuename:
    Searching for property node to a specific FP Object throughout a hierarchy can get devistating.  Especially if the developer used the call chain to obtain a ref to the top level vi panel and pulled a rerence to a control that way
    (DO NOT DO THIS) but I've seen it done:
    Its "Legal" but almost garunteed to cause the guy who inherits your code to denigrate your parentage and intelligence.  HOWEVER: that same text search for the control label text will find those string constants too.
    Then document that code when you find out who is messing with what and how.
    Chart it out over the app and e-mail that scribbling to the original developer too!  Feel free to add a thank you note.

  • Creation of new element in Model Node

    Dear All,
    I am facing one problem, I have two  model node. I want to copy one model node to other model node.while copying its giving error saying the you can bind the element, coz target node doesn't have valid parent.
    Pl don't suggest me work on Value node.
    Can i create a element in model node at run time.
    Thanks & Regards
    Manoj Sahoo

    Hi Manoj,
                   Model node properties :
    1.A context model node makes a model object look like any other context node.  I.E. it gives the model object an API that is very similar to a value node.
    2.  A model node is not considered valid until it is bound to a corresponding model object.  Therefore, a model node always inherits its metadata from the model object to which it is bound.
    3. The element collection in a model node does not hold the actual runtime data!   Instead, it holds a list of references to the relevant model object instances.
    If u check the 2nd property, u will find the cause of ur exception. As u have already told, don't suggest to use value nodes, i don't have any other comment.
    regards

    Model Node is of Cardinality 0..N
    Value Node is of Cardinality 1..1
    I want to create multiple records in my Model Node and one record for every Model Node in Value Node.
    How to do this?
    All good suggestions are welcome.
    Regards,
    Shubham

    Hi Shubham,
    With your context structure the code will be
    for(int i = wdContext.nodeModelNode().size()-1 ; i>=0 ; i--)
        IPublic<comp name>.IModelNodeElement ele =   wdContext.nodeModelNode().getModelNodeElementAt(i);
        IPublic<comp name>.IValNodeElement valEle = wdContext.nodeModelNode().nodeValNode().createValNodeElement();
        valele.setValAttr("");
        ele.nodeValNode().addElement( valEle);
    Your val node should be non singleton (singleton property = false)

  • How can I create a model node in SAP Records Management

    Product: SAP Records Management
    Hi,
    I would like to create a model node in a record tree.
    I found in the function modul BAPI_RECORD_ADDELEMENT no entry for the creation of a model node. Only the instance and the structure node can create by this function modul.
    So, does anyone know a solution to create a model note?
    Regards,
    Thomas Fanninger

    Hi Thomas,
    it is not possible with the BAPI due to the piece of coding:
    case  myElementType.
            when glob_const_elem_type_instance.
              myRecordElement->Type_Set( if_srm_sp_record_element=>type_instance ).
              myRecordInstanceElement ?= myRecordElement.
              loop at element_sp_poid into myElementSpPoidWa.
                mySpPoidWa-id = myElementSpPoidWa-name.
                mySpPoidWa-value = myElementSpPoidWa-value.
                insert mySpPoidWa into table myElementSpPoidTab.
              endloop.
              myElementSpsId = sps_id.
              myElementPoid = myClientService->poid_get_instance( im_rms_id  = myRmsId
                im_sps_id  = myElementSpsId  im_sp_poid = myElementSpPoidTab ).
              myService->check_sp_connection( myElementPoid ).
              myRecordInstanceElement->poid_set( myElementPoid ).
            when glob_const_elem_type_folder.
              myRecordElement->Type_Set( if_srm_sp_record_element=>type_folder ).
            when others.
              perform set_error using '852' return.
              return.
          endcase.
    But you can do that by using directly the Records API. How to use this is demonstrated in the report 'SRM_RECORD_API_HOWTO'. Search there for the subroutine 'fillrecordelement'. There a record element for insert is created and its type is set. You can set the type there to 'IF_SRM_SP_RECORD_ELEMENT~TYPE_MODEL'. Of course your POID then may not be an instance POID.
    Best regards,
    Thomas

  • How to bindi a UI element to 2 model nodes different in the same view

    I want to know how I can bind a set of inputfields, in a form view, to 2 different model nodes ?
    <u>example:</u>
    Im working with 2 adaptional RFC, both working, in my Custom Context.
    Ztest_Search
    Ztest_Update
    In my ResultView I have 2 Model nodes (one for each RFC) I show a set of inputfields in a form view, binded to the Ztest_Search_output of Ztest_Search. This works.
    now I want to update the changes, but I can't find the ways of binding the same inputfields to my other Model node (Ztest_Update) in the context of ResultView.
    Note: If I create a duplicate set of inputfields , one for Ztest_Search binded to the Ztest_Update_output and the other to the Ztest_Update_Input Works. But I wanna avoid this duplicated set of inputfields.
    Thx

    Rodrigo,
    If I understood correctly, your problem is to get the data from the input fields which are bound to a
    model node, Ztest_Search_output and set it to the model node of another RFC, Ztest_Update.
    This can be done by getting the suitable values from the model attributes of Ztest_Search_output
    and setting it to Ztest_Update.
    <b>/**
    * valueOne, valueTwo are the name of the model
    * attributes that are bound to the Input fields.
    */</b>
    String firstValue = wdContext.currentZtest_Search_outputElement
         ().get<valueOne>;
    String secondValue = wdContext.currentZtest_Search_outputElement
         ().get<valueTwo>;
    Ztest_Update_Input update = new Ztest_Update_Input();
    wdContext.nodeZtest_Update_Input().bind(update);
    <b>/*
    *<b>Zstructure is the structure of the model node under
    *Ztest_Update_Input to which the values have to be
    *updated.</b>
    */</b>
    ZStructure structure = new ZStruture();
    structure.setValueOne(valueOne);
    structure.setValueTwo(valueTwo);
    update.addZStructure(structure);
    try
       update.execute();
    catch (Exception ex)
       wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportException(ex.getMessage(), false);
    wdContext.nodeZtest_Update_Output().invalidate();

  • How to set the Model Class for a newly created Model Node ?

    Hello All,
      I am trying to map a Model node from SourceA to DestinationB.
      To do so, I created a model node for Destination B in the interface controller (set the isInputElement to true). However why I try to map the node, I get an error saying that "Both context nodes have to be bound to a model class". Upon a closer look, I realised that the model node that I created in DestinationB has no entries under the properties.
      Does anyone knows/advise how I can add the model class entry to the model node that I have created as I am not able to do so. Or otherwise, is there a way to map a model node to another model node across different components ? Thank you very much.

    Hello Pascal
      The instructioons that you gave are for mapping the model between the view controller and the component controller within the same component is that right ?
      I am tryng to map a model node in the component controller of SourceA to another model node that belongs to another Component. I do believe that in this case I will need to create a model node in the interface controller of DestinationB and map that to the component controller of SourceA. However, by creating my own model node, how do I change the property modelClass in the context ?

    Regards
    Vijay Kalluri

    Hi Vijay,
    TO copy values from Model Node to Value Node use the copyElements() method of the WDCopyService API. To acheive this, the name and type of the attibutes in the Value Node should be same as Model node attributes.
    Example: -
    Model Node <----
    > Value node
