How to exposing orchestration as web api ?

Hi ALL,
I have created Orchestration ,I want to Exposing my orchestration and Schema as a WEB API
. Please help me to find the solution for this.
Thanks in Advance !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks and Regards

Hi,
As suggested by La Cour you can use WCF Publishing Wizard and publish your orchestration and schemas as REST Endpoint.

  • How to expose a SOAP web service from HCP

    Hello All,
Currently I am trying to create a SOAP web service within a HCP Java application to allow backend systems to consume data stored in HCP.
    This is the planned scenario:
    1. Create data in HCP - therefor I am using JPA and a oData Model.
    2. Backend uses web service to consume data from HCP - with this point I do have some problems.. I do want to create a SOAP web service in order to achieve this.
Is there an easy way to create a SOAP web service in HCP? There are many tutorials in the internet of how to create a SOAP web service in 20 sec´s, but non of these helped me. I do was able to consume a SOAP web service in HCP coming from the ByD, but the other way around seems pretty complicated...
Can I make use of the Eclipse functions to create a web service? (New --> Other... --> Web Services --> Web Service and than choose the Button up Java bean Web Service type)
Have any of you some coding snippets that would probably help me out?
I have unsuccessfully tried to use the @WebService, @SOAPBinding, @WebMethod notation in my java classes...
    Thank you,
    Swen

    Hello Nedelcho,
Yes. All the required jar files are in the lib directory.
Currently I am able to create a web service locally.
But when I deploy that to the cloud server my JPA service is not working any more.
    Receiving the following error message:
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?><error xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/ado/2007/08/dataservices/metadata"><code/><message xml:lang="en">javax.naming.NamingException: Error while attempting to resolve reference [Root exception is javax.naming.NamingException: Cannot create resource  object instance due to exception in the object factory [Root exception is javax.naming.NamingException: Data source 'jdbc/DefaultDB' not available.]]</message></error>
    The web.xml contains the following:
    Any advice?

  • How to call an Azure Web API (2.2) - from Dynamics Custom WorkFlow Activity of Plugin c#

    Hello,
I am specifically trying to call a web api, that has a FromBody.
However, I am trying to do it without having to use libraries (or nuget packages) that I cannot install on CRM of CRM Online.
It seems JSON newtonsoft is big... or I guess I could use my own custom formatter...
But I would love to see if someone has an example for posting to web API, versus an ASMX
    Thanks

Wow I had this awesome thing typed up... and it wouldn't do it then wanted me to verify and then that messed up and I lost it all... Wow..
    Anyway
    [SOLVED]
Works from Plugin or Workflow activity
Use the Query string to pass things (not the body) or else you have to compress it and you can't use the libraries to DO that in the Sandbox... You CAN do that if you or on premise and do NOT isolate.. Then heck I did everything I wanted but for online
    this was it.
You do NOT have to use WebClient, use HttpClient (follow the code below)
WebApi 2.2 is what I used
    My signature for Webapi
You do have to clean up the response.. as the string you get back is JSON.. and you cannot use the JSON desieralizer...
Easy fix... just do a replacement of the \ and " to a " " space.. then Trim the result.. bingo a clean string response...
    [HttpGet]
    Public string MyMethod(string value1, string value2, string value3)
This will parse the query string so USE these are your parameters in your query string or the API will NOT work. ?value1=ddd&&value2=ddd&&value3=aaa
of course make up your own string names
IIS and Apache etc work differently so the AMOUNT of data you can send will differ per platform, per version of platform AND usually you can configure it.. IIS used to be like 2048 by default.. anything beyond that (as a total URL incoming) was truncated..
Not sure now. I know it was configurable
I got it working.. all my points are gone... but it's possible

  • How to call a Web Api from from a Visual webpart code behind?

    Hi,
I am trying to create a visual web part in sharepoint 2013 with data received from another Web API.
    I followed the below steps.
    1. Created a Visual Web part.
    2. In the code behind(.cs) file I wrote the following code.
     async private void GetResult()
using (var client = new HttpClient())
                    client.BaseAddress = new Uri("http://localhost:8080/");
                    client.DefaultRequestHeaders.Accept.Clear();
                    client.DefaultRequestHeaders.Accept.Add(new MediaTypeWithQualityHeaderValue("application/json"));
                    var response = await client.GetAsync("api/Tfs/OpenEnquiriesCount");
                    var content = response.Content;
    3. When I run the application, I get security exception in the line await
    client.GetAsync()
What is the way to achieve this? How to call a web api from share point visual web part?
    Thank you in advance.

  • How to expose sort attributes in a web service created on a AM 11g TP4

I'm using Jdeveloper 11g TP4 to create a web service on the application module.
When I run the web service, it is working fine. Can someone tell me how to expose the sort attributes for the user to choose?
How do I expose the sort Order for the user to select?
These are the steps I followed:
    1) Created a new application.
    2) Created a view object in the Model project.
    Created one bind variable.
Created new view Criteria and used the bind variable.
    3) Created a new jspx page.
From the Data control dragged and dropped the Named Criteria on to the page and used "ADF Query Panel with Table..."
    4) Ran the Jspx page. It works fine.
    Double Click Application Module.
    Click on tab Service Interface.
Hit New, this will open the Wizard to Create a new Service Interface.
Followed instructions and selected all the applicable methods to expose as web service.
At the end of the process, wsdl, xsd, java files are created.
I'm able to run this web service.
The field to query the data is exposed in the Web Service.
Is there a way to expose the sorting attributes to be selected by the user? i.e. I want to expose the fields to the user.
    Thanks,
    Jagadish.

Why bother with TP 4? JDev 11g is already production.

  • How to upload to Azure Media Services when using HTML5 with Web API

I keep finding examples demonstrating how to upload video to Azure Media Services through a console application.  I am developing an application using HTML5 with angularjs and web api, but am having trouble finding an example for uploading when you
are getting the file from a form on a web browser.  The main issue I find is that I see a way to upload from a file path and no way to upload from a stream.  I would like to upload the file to blob storage and then associate the file in blob storage
with the IAssetFile object, which is then associated with IAsset.  It this possible and if so can you point me in the direction of some tutorials that demonstrate this?  Also, I am allowing site members to upload videos and images.  For this
images scenario, I saw doc. demonstrating how to start a job that will save the image into a different size, what if I need four different sizes for each image uploaded?

    Hi,
the following example shows how to upload a stream into a blob and associate the blob with an asset: https://code.msdn.microsoft.com/How-to-upload-a-stream-to-d2750102.

    Hi Gopal,
If I am not wrong, you need not do anything to the WSDL.
If you carefully look at your WSDL in your NWDS, the soap:address attribute will point to the default location. However, the 'location' attribute will be 'Empty'. When you Deploy the Composite Application on the server, the location attribute value will be replaced by http://<server host name>:<port>/<WebService Name>/<Application  Service Name> in the WSDL on the server. The WSDL URL  is generated using the same format, and that is how it recognizes the service.
You can deploy your application on the server and go to the Web Service Navigator and check the WDSL.

  • How to create activity workflow based on the Web API 2 services

    Hi,
We have Web API 2 services and we want create activity workflow based on the Web API 2 services.
Web API 2 services provide some application operations and based on this operations we would like to create custom activity workflow.
    Question:
    Is that possible?
Could you please give best practices to create activity workflow based on the Web API 2 services ?
    Thanks for your support.

    HI Max_P,
    Welcome to workflow forum.
ASP.NET Web API is a framework that makes it easy to build HTTP services that reach a broad range of clients, including browsers and mobile devices. ASP.NET Web API is an ideal platform for building RESTful applications on the .NET Framework.
I researched relevant topic about creating workflow application using Web API 2, I just found these resources about it.
    Learn About ASP.NET Web API
    Hope it helps.

WebAPI are pretty simple and straightforward like of that webservices and/or wcf....  but I guess you have to ask in different forum:

  • MVC Web API json response truncated?

I have an MVC 4 Web API in C# hosted in IIS 7
Basically this service has a queue that has items enqueued every minute. I expose a GET method that allows for all the items in the queue to be returned in a json array.
the queue is really this: Queue<List<CustomObject>> mQueue; then every minute a new list is enqueued.
The max size of the queue is 50 (1 hour of data)
the maximum count of a list in said queue is ~500 and minimum count is ~100. When I debug the api locally It will return all the elemnets in the queue no problem. only takes a couple seconds. The size of the json response (saved to disk) is ~10Mb.
So I decided to host this service on a VM. I let it run for a while so the queue gets populated. then I make my request:
    http://somepoint:4328/AzureQueueService?view=Full
I only get 1.30 - 1.32 mb of data back. Which equates to about 4 minutes worth of data! So the question becomes is there some setting in IIS that forces the response sent to be less than 2Mb? Maybe there is a similar setting in my webconfig? Or maybe IIS
has created more than one instance of my service? Either way, I'm missing something here.

What OS (including SP number) your service is running on? (both local and VM)
Do you receive the same amount of data as specified in Content-Length header? Is your response a valid JSON (just having less data than expected), or it is really truncated?
Where is your queue hosted? Is it just a static object inside IIS process, or somewhere out-of-process?
How is it filled? By another method passing incoming data? Do you use thread synchronization when accessing the queue?
IIS may have multiple worker processes per application, and each will have its own static queue (of course, if it is hosted in-process). Also IIS might recycle worker processes, so in-process data could be lost.

  • Why is there no WSDL type support for Web Api?

So I am just getting started with .Net WebApi and one thing that I am noticing straight away is that there is no Contract defining how the Api looks and should be consumed (Request/Responses from each Action), this is usually in the form of a WSDL for WCF/Soap.
It seems to me like this is something that would be very valuable and make life a lot easier for consumers of your Api.
Is there a reason there isn't one? Is there a programming paradime or principle that I am unaware of? Is there a way I could create one?

    SOAP, REST AND PEOPLE'S CREATIVITY
SOAP needs a description document like WSDL because each resource can be consumed with different messages, there are no definition on the protocol about constraints to the possible names/messages that you can manipulate a resource.
For example, in SOAP your web service that allow clients manipulate an user can expose the operation that create an user in many different messages, like:
    addUser
    createUser
    insertUser
Of course, these are just few sample messages, because I've see a lot of funny web services method names. There are really creative people out there.
In other hand, if you are exposing your underlying system using web api that really respect the REST principles, the client just need to know that you have a resource named Users, because there is 99% of chance that you can create an user in this way
    POST /Users
And this occurs for each operation you want to expose using SOAP or a web api REST.
Despite being SOAP a protocol, which restricts what you can or can not do, and be REST a style architecture, which leaves many open points of how to do things. There are efforts to define conventions of how to expose and consume REST web apis.
    DESCRIBING A WEB API REST
In the field of how to describe a web api REST I can cite
Swagger. It is not a attempt to create a WSDL like to web api REST, but it is a good attempt to create an open standard for describing web apis REST.
Swagger is a specification and complete framework implementation for describing, producing, consuming, and visualizing RESTful web services.
I use Swagger a lot and really love it, mainly because
Swagger UI that allow you generate a nice live console and documentation for your web api.
There are many implementations of Swagger for most of languages: C#, Java, Python, Ruby, etc.
If you are using ASP .NET Web API, there a some projects to auto generate the Swagger specification, like
    Swagger.NET
GENERATING CLIENTS TO A WEB API REST
Because the constraints of REST, like the limited set of verbs (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, etc) is not so difficuty to generate a client library to a web api REST.
    Projects like
WebApiProxy can easily generate clients do C# and Javascript.
    CONVENTIONS FOR WEB API REST
To keep our lifes as developers easier is good define some conventions of how our web api REST will behave, the best effort I know in this field is the very good
Apigee - Web Api Design ebook. The e-book is not an attempt to create a bible or a mantra about how to design your api, but rather a collection of conventions observed in large web REST apis, like Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Google, etc.

"Object reference not set to an instance" issue +Orchestration as WCF service + BizTalk
    2013 R2 ..has no relation.
Just created an Orchestration, which would accept XMLDocument as input (Request) message and output (Response) message in both BizTalk 2013 and also in 2013 R2.
I can expose the Orchestration as WCF service without any issues as mentioned here and can able to send and get any XMLDocument to this server (Which is an Orchestration)
