How to fill html control from javascript

I am trying to create a panel with html in it and I am not able to fill dropdown control from javascript.

Tim,
In order to consume a SOAP API I recommend you use something other than JavaScript.
Any platform can offer you a good SOAP client should be OK. (.Net, Java, php, Ruby, python).
I didn't see anyone successfully used javascript and consume the Eloqua SOAP API.
I know you can create a SOAP client in Java script but it will be too much work to handle the Eloqua response in some cases.

Daniel

    What do you mean html layers? You can call JavaScript on the
    page using the
    ExternalInterface class. There's examples in Help if you look
    up the EI
    class, and it's call method.

  • How to fill table control by these FMs

    Hi,
    How to fill table control rows by using function module dynp_update_fields or dynp_values_update. I have a custom screen wherein i have few input/output fields at the top. F4 help has already been defined for these fields and i want to populate/refresh a table control available in the same screen w.r.t., value chosen by user from F4 help. please let me know how to use these FMs for this or if there is any other way to do this.
    Rgds

    Look at FM DYNP_GET_STEPL which provides  povstepl  index to be able to update field values in correct row of table control with  DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE (and to read correct value with DYNP_VALUES_READ  too)
    NB: If you need to update multiple rows, I'm not sure that can be done in POV, you may be required to modify the internal table and trigger PAI/PBO cycle with a suppress dialog, or method/FM to trigger ok_code.

    Hi Nr
    Here is how I approached this problem.
    Go to report attributes tab
    under column attributes check PLSQL radio button.
    Create a function to return the heading of your report as shown below in your database.
    create function get_heading return clob as
    v_request VARCHAR2(20) := V('REQUEST');
    v_col_heading CLOB;
    begin
    IF INSTR(v_request,'FLOW_EXCEL_OUTPUT',1) > 0 THEN
    v_col_heading := 'Employee Number:Employee Name';
    ELSE
    v_col_heading := 'Employee breaktag Number:Employee break tag Name';
    END IF;
    return v_col_heading;
    end;
    Type the function below under ( Function returning colon delimited headings:) as follows.
    return get_heading;
    Similarly for data base it on PLSQL function body returning SQL and follow the same approach as headings.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • How to extract HTML page from the internet

    i am new to java, i wish to know how to extract Html page from the internet and also how to identify the differences between the images and text information?

    You can create a java.net.URL that points to the file you want to "extract" and read the HTML code (or what ever that file contains) from there using the inputstream given by URL.openStream().
    The difference between images and text... well, images are embedded in html using the img-tag. example: <IMG src="http://forum.java.sun.com/images/reply.gif" alt="Reply">. Attributes width, height, alt are sometimes left out and there may or may not be quotes around the values and everything is case insensitive... you'll be having hard time trying to parse the input so I'd suggest using existing parsers.
    What are you trying to do anyway? You can load a URL directly to a JTextEditorPane with the setPage(URL page) method...

  • ANSWER: HOW TO DETECT Java Plugin from JavaScript

    I created a new topic because the questions about
    how to detect Java Plugin in browsers are scattered
    thoughout this forum.
    Basically you need to employ two approaches for IE and NS.
    In IE you need to try to instantiate a small applet
    (not your production applet) in order to see if browser
    can do it. if the browser can do it, you can make a
    call applet from JavaScript in order to find version of
    JRE (as well as a host of other things).
    In NS you can write a simple JavaScript which will
    interrogate the browser for all plugins installed. Then
    ypu can make a desicion whether to pass execution to
    the next(or generated) page which hosts your applet,
    or ask the user to download/install a plugin.
    I ecourage everybody to host a plugin on your site
    rather leave default link to it which is generated by
    html converter.
    In order to run sample,
    Prerequisites:
    Java Plugin 1.3.
    If you have a different version of plugin,
    substitute hardcoded plugin version in JavaScript for
    value that you have.
    1. compile java file
    2. put class file in the same directory with html file
    3. load html file into the browser.
    4. press "Check Java Plugin.." button
    5. see it work
    6. examine code
    7. uninstall plugin
    8. repeat steps 1 - 4
    9. see it work
    10. install plugin.
    Sample code follows:
    **********************HTML FILE BEGIN***********
    <HTML>
    <HEAD>
    <!-- Generated by Kawa IDE -->
    <TITLE>Detect Java Runtime</TITLE>
    </HEAD>

  • How to get FindAgain & FindPrevious from javascript OR other options

    Hi All, I'm trying to use the 'SearchResults -> Next Hit [Old]     'SearchSubmenu -> FindAgain' [New]
    Out of all these: Find | FindSearch | SearchSubmenu | FindAgain | FindPrevious
    Only 'Find' and 'FindSearch' works from javascript - None of others worked on Adobe 9 Pro:
    For example: app.execMenuItem("FindAgain") did not work and no errors on debugger,
    Please let me know, how I will be able to get to the next search item and previous search item from app.execMenuItem
    I even tried these two to include with priv restrictions: app.beginPriv(); app.execMenuItem("FindAgain"); app.endPriv();
    ========================================================================================
    I'm attaching the zip file that contains the two required files to view a pdf in a browser through html.
    History: I'm working on this to help a old aged home where they have touch screens and it is very difficult for some to identify a pdf tool bar buttons or use their pdf's efficiently.
    So, I was thinking about it for over six months and started two weeks back to really help them. Though I did not expect that it is going to make me purchase pdf 9 pro. I did. But, even after that with all these hours working on this, I could not get this working.
    I got few samples from Jeff's:    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/ajax/quickstart/scripting_pdf.html
    I did use these files and trying to get that only feature which is 'Find Next' and 'Find Previous'. In fact tried almost all 'AcroSrch.....  es
    In the html, I have hard coded a search string 'lorem' with #search=lorem..., I plan to get a new search string from other html page. I will do it later.
    As per Jeff, I had that 'Edit java Script' inlcuded in the pdf file.
    If you get a chance please check the attachment. (Open test.html in the browser)
    IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY IN THIS WHOLE WORLD TO GET THIS 'FIND NEXT' and 'FIND PREVIOUS' to work? OR ANY OTHER IDEAS THAT WOULD GET THIS WORKING. THANKS A LOT. OR ATLEAST IN OLDER VERSIONS, IF POSSIBLE, ANY IDEAS THAT WOULD BE MOST WELCOME
    ========================================================================================
    if you can think of any ideas which can make this happen, it can be any even to buy some additional software or option to add some buttons in pdf itself that can do the job or sending the keyboard shortcuts commands like 'Ctrl+G' and 'Shift+Ctrl+G' [which does the same like 'FindNext' 'FindPrevious'] to the pdf object from the html button action would help,

    Both app.execMenuItem("FindAgain") and app.execMenuItem("FindPrevious") work just fine in Acrobat 8 Pro (from the console), but only after manually running the Find version once.
    Think about it, all that JS does is call these functions. So calling Find from JS will basically not do anything because you can't specify to it what to search for. Even typing the string you want to search for in the "find" field doesn't work.
    If you want to find words in a file using a script you will need to use getPageNthWord.

  • How to remove HTML tags from a String ?

    Hello,
    How can I remove all HTML Tags from a String ?
    Would you please to give me a simple example ?
    Best regards,
    Eric

    Here's some code I cooked up. I have created an object that processes code so that it can be incorporated directly into a project. There is some redundancy so that the it can be used in more than one way. Depending on your situation you might have to make the condition statement a little more sophisticated to catch stray ">" tags.
    I have also included a Tester application.
    //This removes Html tags from a String either by submitting the String during construction and then
    // calling getProcessedString() or
    // by simply calling " stringwithoutTags=removeHtmlTags(stringWithTagsSubmission); "
    //Note: This code assumes that all"<" tags are accompanied by a ">" tag in the proper order.
    public class HtmlTagRemover
         private String stringSubmission,processedString,stringBeingProcessed;
         private int indexOfTagStart,indexOfTagEnd;
         public HtmlTagRemover()
         public HtmlTagRemover(String s)
              removeHtmlTags(s);
         public String removeHtmlTags(String s)
              stringSubmission=s;
              stringBeingProcessed=stringSubmission;
              removeNextTag();
              return processedString;
         private void removeNextTag()
              checkForNextTag();
              while((!(indexOfTagStart==-1||indexOfTagEnd==-1))&<indexOfTagEnd)
                   removeTag();
                   checkForNextTag();
              processedString=stringBeingProcessed;
         private void checkForNextTag()
              indexOfTagStart=stringBeingProcessed.indexOf("<");
              indexOfTagEnd=stringBeingProcessed.indexOf(">");
         private void removeTag()
              StringBuffer sb=new StringBuffer("");
              sb.append(stringBeingProcessed);
              sb.delete(indexOfTagStart,indexOfTagEnd+1);
              stringBeingProcessed=sb.toString();
         public String getProcessedString()
              return processedString;
         public String getLastStringSubmission()
              return stringSubmission;
    public class HtmlRemovalTester
         static void main(String[] args)
              String output;
              HtmlTagRemover h=new HtmlTagRemover();
              output="The processed String: "+h.removeHtmlTags("<Html tag>This is a test<another Html tag> string<yet another Html tag>.");

    There will be an author who can choose document type as HTML
    and then he will write html codes on saving it should be saved as HTML doc in UCM.
    and publisher should be able to display it on portal(may be using content presenter).
    please help me in this. I know there is rich text editor task flow which can save a doc as doc file.
    and in spaces we have option of creating HTLM file but i don't know how to do it for my portal.
    Thanks

    A better way would be to create the page using approach in this blog:
    https://blogs.oracle.com/ATEAM_WEBCENTER/entry/content_presenter_cmis_complete
    That way the page can be edited inline and the html author need not upload html to ucm everytime.
