  • How to find out the address of a servlet without a Request

    Hi all,
in a servlet, I need to find out its address before the first client request (the best would be in the init method).
So I have no access to a HttpServletRequest object that normally offers this information.
    Is this possible?
    Thanks,
    RayBen

If you need to know the host name, then something says me that your code is already not portable :)
No, it is not possible. Not without nasty stuff or lookups. Why do you need to know about it then? It sounds like if you want to set some host-specific settings. You can better use the init-param in web.xml or configuration files for this than hardwiring it in Java source code.

  • How to find out email address for my apple id

    Hello Folks.
I have a bunch of songs that i bought and downloaded under an apple id that i don't currently use. I have forgotten the password for that account and I cant remember which e-mail, address was associated with it. How can I log in and authorize those songs please?
    R
    Mike

    Hello testermike,
After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains advice on how to identify the account name of your Apple ID:
Recovering a forgotten iTunes Store account name
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1920
If you have forgotten your iTunes Store account name, you can recover it if you have made iTunes Store purchases by following these instructions:
Note: In most cases, your iTunes Store account name will be your email address. You may want to try signing in using your email address as your iTunes Store account name.
    Open iTunes
Highlight one of the items you have purchased (You can find your purchases in your Purchases playlist).
    Choose File > Get Info.
    Click the Summary tab.
The Account Name area will list the account used to purchase the item. Unless you have changed accounts, this is your iTunes Store account name.
Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    BobbyD

  • How to find out who's texting you from an iCloud email address?

how to find out who's texting you from an icloud email address?

OK after a bit of research I found a way to achieve this.
I simply looked up the email address in ADUC, then did a search in SP with the display name. I could locate the list and manually confirm it was configured with the incoming email address I was looking for.
I also found the below script on Stackoverflow, but got "The 'using' keyword is not supported in this version of the language." when I tried to run it. Any idea how to fix that? I'd like to have a script to link a library to an email address istead of the
    manual approach described above.

  • How to find out the max mem can be allocatedTT for 32 bit Win ?

How to find out the maximum Permanent Data Size and Temporary Data Size that can be allocated for the Oracle Times Ten for 32 bit Windows OS.

    Hi Chris,
Am I write in saying that this also depends on shared memory setting as well?
If that is the case, on a platform like window 2003 32-bit, one cannot have more than 4GB of shared memory. Windows Server 2003 includes support for a startup switch (entered in the boot.ini file) that allows the allocation of memory and memory address space. Regardless of the amount of physical memory that is installed on the system, the operating system uses a virtual address space of 4 GB. Out of that amount, by default, 2 GB is allocated to user-mode processes (for example, Oracle or TimesTen) and 2 GB is allocated to kernel-mode processes (for example the operating system and others). In a nutshell on systems that have more than 1 GB of RAM, this startup switch can be used to allocate more memory to applications (3 GB) and less memory to the operating system (1 GB). However, adding adding the /3GB switch to the boot.ini file will not increase the amount of physical RAM memory, the 3GB switch just tells the computer to allocate the existing memory space differently.
For a 32-bit TimesTen the limit on memory cannot be more than 2GB (PermSize+TempSize). For example on Linux 32-bit I have 1024MB and 512MB for these two parameters.
    Thanks,
    Mich

Your SOA project should have a somethingRef.wsdl where you can find the location of your WSDL.
    <wsdl:import namespace="http://www.example.com" location="http://example.com/example.do?wsdl"/>
In the actual WSDL (not the ref) you may have your actual servername/portname in the tag address at the end of the file...

Just to add a little to Gek's reply, addressing your second question:
Or how to get into backup server and find out what ASE this backup server is working for?
That you can't really do.  A backupserver can be used by multiple ASE servers and doesn't maintain any permanent registry of servers it is used by.  From a connection to ASE, you can do a SYB_BACKUP....sp_who remote procedure call to get some information on current activity on the backupserver, but the information is pretty limited.
    1> SYB_BACKUP...sp_who
    2> go
spid        status     loginame                       hostname     blk cmd
1 sleeping   NULL                           NULL         0   CONNECT HANDLER
2 sleeping   NULL                           NULL         0   DEFERRED HANDLER
3 runnable   NULL                           NULL         0   SCHEDULER
               4 runnable   NULL                           REL157SP1xx* 0   SITE HANDLER
               6 running    sa                             bret-sun2    0   NULL
    (5 rows affected)
My ASE's name is REL157SP1xx_bret_sun2, so you aren't even getting the full name of the ASE backupserver is currently working with.  I had just booted the backupserver, so the Site Handler was started to handle the RPC call, it doesn't even mean that server had ever dumped a database.
While you can connect to the backpserver directly with a client, the backupserver does not have a command language processor, so any commands you send directly to backupserver (as opposed to rpc calls) will only get the response "no language handler installed", like this:
    bret-sun2% isql -Usa -P -Srel1572nb_bret_sun2_back
    1> select @@version
    2> go
    No language handler installed.
That is why the (polite) way of shutting down a backupserver is to issue
"shutdown SYB_BACKUP" from a client logged into an ASE.  (the impolite
way is to use an OS kill command against the backpserver process).

  • Cockpit- How to find B1i Server Address

    Hi,
I am trying to enable Dashboard. It is asking for B1i Server address. I have tried "http://127.0.0.1:8080/B1iXcellerator/exec/ipo/vP.001sap0004.in_HCSX/com.sap.b1i.vplatform.runtime/INB_HT_CALL_SYNC_XPT/INB_HT_CALL_SYNC_XPT.ipo/proc" but it gave me an error message that it is unable to connect. Does anybody know how to find B1i server address?
    Thanks.
    Abdul...

    Abdul,
Instead of using 127.0.0.1 ... try using either the actual B1i Servers IP address or the name of the machine.  You can also review the B1iC troubleshooting guide here ...

  • How to find out IODs number for Cisco AP model 1602

     Hi All
i have 5 cisco AP with model 1602, i need some help on how to find out the IODs from the device, the reason to do this is to add all the AP to our solarwinds server, hope you can help, Thanks !
    Keith

we are using Stand Alone, as how to find out the IODs from the device, as i have already enable snmp on the AP, and has been added to the solarwinds server, and below is what solarwinds replied, how to obtain OID ?
Yes, your AP device can now be monitored even the interfaces, availability, CPU, memory, etc., however you mentioned that you also want to monitor the clients of your AP, the client's ip address, the name of the clients and other resources.
In order to do this, we need to use the Universal Device Poller, we will manually configure NPM to poll the other resources of your AP, that's why we need the OID.
