How to find where an import item will come from for auto execute query?

I am trying to get a standalone stackLayout region to automatically execute the query on a VO when I run a test.
I found this thread, Re: Table creation and Data Population and tried adding the suggested code into my <companyname>.oracle.apps.fnd.framework.toolbox.server.<companyname>WorklistAMImpl. java, without the "if" clause wrapper.
if(pageContext.getParameter("Submit") != null)
OAApplicationModule am = pageContext.getApplicationModule(webBean);
OAViewObject vo = (OAViewObject)am.findViewObject("EmployeeVO1");
OATableBean table = (OATableBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("ResultTable");
table.queryData(pageContext, false);
However, when I try to compile, I get errors that the variable webBean, variable pageContext, and class OATableBean are not found in my class <companyname>.oracle.apps.fnd.framework.toolbox.server.<companyname>WorklistAMImpl. I had a couple others missing classes, which I figured out where they were and included them as imports.
My questions are:
1. Did I put this code in the right place?
2. How do I find out where the OATableBean exists (and generically, how do I find where a class exists, for future reference)?
3. In the case of the referenced note, how should I define the webBean and pageContext variables?
Thanks.
- Pam

I found where the OATableBean was defined, but I'd still like to know in general how to find classes. Is there a utility I can run that would list what's where?
Also, I figured out for the webBean and pageContext that I needed to import OAwebBean and OApageContext and then define the parameters in stream, so onw I'm successfully compiling; however, I still get "No search conducted" on the test rather than actually seeing the results of the VO. So, I sitll wonder if I have the code in the right place, or am I missing another piece? For instance, since my VO is based on a multi-org view, do I need to do something similar to set_client_info? Even if I did have to do that, I would expect a no data found rather than a no search conducted message.
The view code is as follows (note, I have commented out the bind variable for now and hard coded which distribution I want to find, so I expect it to get one row returned):
SELECT ReqDistributionsEO.DISTRIBUTION_ID,
ReqDistributionsEO.DISTRIBUTION_NUM,
ReqDistributionsEO.REQ_LINE_QUANTITY,
ReqDistributionsEO.REQ_LINE_AMOUNT,
ReqDistributionsEO.EXPENDITURE_TYPE,
ReqDistributionsEO.EXPENDITURE_ITEM_DATE
,prl.line_num
,pp.name project_name
,pt.task_number
     ,gcc.concatenated_segments
FROM PO_REQ_DISTRIBUTIONS ReqDistributionsEO
,po_requisition_lines prl
     ,pa_projects pp
     ,pa_tasks_v pt
     ,gl_code_combinations_kfv gcc
where ReqDistributionsEO.REQUISITION_LINE_ID = prl.REQUISITION_LINE_ID
and prl.requisition_header_id = 14247-- :1
and pp.project_id = ReqDistributionsEO.project_id
and pt.task_id = ReqDistributionsEO.task_id
and gcc.code_combination_id = ReqDistributionsEO.code_combination_id
Please help.

There is video demonstration how to import from data dictionary.
After import you can select from the main menu: View->DDL File Editor menu item to open the DDL dialog and then click on "Generate" button on the dialog. When the DDL is generated you can search in it using "Find" button.

  • How to find where the screen field is stored in table

    Hi all,
How to find where the screen field  is stored in the table .
for some transactions if i press F1 on the field and after checking for the technical help.
I can only find the struture for the screen field, but whereas i need table name for it.
Can anybody help me how to find the table name where the field is stored.
    Regards,
    Madhavi

    Hi,
Just hitting a F1 on screen field and getting structure name will not help in getting table name.
First you need to know the flow of data in the reqd module, which will help you know all the tables in that module with there most of the fields with the data flow, now you need to work on your own to figure out that in which actual tables that value is stored.
    Hope this helps you.

How do I find where Itunes is pulling my feed from?
I made some changes and I need to see if they are using the same feed.
    Thanks for any help
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/calvary-chapel-myrtle-beach/id117554166?mt=2

In the podcast library of iTunes on your computer - find your show if you are already subscribed to it and right click and delete it from your Podcast library - do not unsubscribe - DELETE it.
Then go into the iTunes store for your show and click subscribe.
This will ensure you are subscribing with Apple now sees as your feed.
Go back to the library section of iTunes and the podcast sub-section and find your podcast.
Then right click on the title and select - Copy Podcast URL.
In your case you will see it is - http://www.ccmyrtlebeach.com/podcast/podcast.xml
As the feed iTunes has for your show in their data base and all new subscribers will get when they click subscribe.

  • How to find port number , when there will be different instance number ?

    In case of portal url,
port number is 50000 for default instance number 00.
how to find port number , when there will be different instance number , instead of 00?
    Thanks

    Hi
You can find the port number by your instance number as follows:
There is a general format for the port number like you have mentioned.
For 00 instance the port number is 50000.
The general format for the port number goes like this:
        <b>5<instance_no>00</b>
If your <b>instance number is 01</b> then the port number would be <b>50100</b>.
It depends on the installation type which you perform.
You can also change the instance number during the installation but normally you dont do this.
If you have many components or units installed on your system you may have more than one instance in that case it may go like this 00, 01, 02....accordingly port number will be 50000, 50100, 50200...resp.
    Hope this solves your doubt.
If you need some more clarification please lemme know.

  • HT2905 No Display Duplicates under File. How to find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library

I now have iTunes ver 11.0.4.4 under Windows 7. I lost all iTunes stuff when updating to Windows 7. I have loaded thousands amd thousands of music files from backup disks, but there are many duplicates. I am attemping to re-establish my old library. I used to be able to remove duplicates quickly with the old iTunes. The new iTunes doesn't seem to offer the same service. Is there any way to remove duplicates quickly, or must I do it one by one?

When deduping use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks. If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin. Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this thread for background and please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping.
(If you don't see the menu bar press ALT to show it temporarily or CTRL+B to keep it displayed)

  • How to find out particular work item is trigger by particular transaction

    Hi,
can any one tell how to find out particular work item is trigger by particular transaction. in swfrevtlog we ill get custom obj type and also super business obj type, but i need to identify this work item id is triggered by this transaction. can any one help,
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Sorry, but I don't believe that's possible. Even if you can identify the program, there could be multiple transactions that executed it.
The only possible way, I think, would be to add an enhancement / badi which uses the callstack to determine the calling transaction at the time he event is raised (and then stores it somewhere).
    But that's not very elegant.
Why do you need to know the triggering transaction? To influence the workflow? If so, another approach might be this:  pass the transaction code as an additional parameter to the workflow event & then pass that to the workflow.
    cheers

  • HT1498 How can I find out when a movie will be available for rent?

How can I find out when a movie will be available for rent?

You can't. A movie's only available for rental if the copyright holder allows that; nobody except for them and Apple would know when or if a specific movie will be.

  • How do I know if my MBP will benefit from heatsink paste reapplication?

    Dear Mac Users
I know the theme of hot MacBook Pro's has been done to death, but I would like to add my two pennyworth with respect to the specific question: How do I know if my MBP will benefit from reapplication of the heatsink compound? I have trawled numerous very long threads here and not found a satisfactory answer. The reapplication of the heatsink paste is a bit of a schlep and not without some risk of breaking it, so it would be good to know if the benefit is worth the risk.
One common question is: "Are my MBP temperatures unusual?". A useful mac temperature database can be found at the following link:
    http://www.intelmactemp.com/list
Consulting this list should set some parameter space for many users - there does seem to be considerable variability - suggesting highly variable quality of heat sink paste application by Apple. In my particular case I have an early 2011 MBP (i7, quad core, 2.2GHz). This certainly ran very hot. I even had a burn on my thigh from it, which took a while to heal. I know, they are notebooks, not laptops, but still . . . . To put very hot into perspective, the CPU was sitting at over 60C at idle, and whole case would be hot to the touch, such that resting your hands on it was uncomfortable. And yes, the computer was idling, there were no rogue processes chewing up cycles. At full load, the CPU would run at 90C and the whole thing would get very hot. I avoided running major projects or rendering jobs on it to preserve it from heat fatigue - the warranty is now up.
My first attempt at reducing the temperatures, was to clean it. The clue was in the USB/Firewire etc ports. All were very fluffy, which suggested that there was a lot of crud in the heatsink fins. Fixing this was simple; adopt anti-static precautions; remove the back panel; blow air into the exhaust vents at the base of the screen. Numerous large fluff bunnies popped out of the fans and elsewhere. Alternatively, you can unscrew the two fans and partially lift them out (without removing the power cables to the motherboard). Major fluff on the heatsink fins can then be tweezered out, prior to blowing it through, to ensure all debris is removed. I did this subsequently on my Core 2 Duo MBP. After defluffing the idle i7 CPU temperatures dropped from 60C to 43C, but perhaps of more importance was that the whole case was much cooler and the keyboard temperature was close to ambient - much nicer to use.
So that fixed the major heat problem. However, the question remained, would I see any further improvements by stripping the thing down and reapplying the heatsink paste? What I was looking for in this forum was a rule of thumb based on temperature measurements to help me make an informed decision on whether to strip the thing down. As my machine was out of warranty, I wasn't worried about voiding that. Also, where I am there is zero support (Africa), so Genius Bar or similar was not an option. But jiggering a 14month (very expensive) laptop was not something I wanted to do for thrills. The data in many of the posts did not provide any answers. In the end I made some measurements and decided to do the fix. The step by step instructions I followed were very clear and can be found for many Macs/models at:
    http://www.ifixit.com/Device/Mac
This guide made life a lot less stressful, as pulling a connector the wrong way could trash the motherboard, and those connectors are so very tiny and fragile. It is very important to take it slow and follow each step to the letter (and not skip steps inadvertently). My before and after heatsink paste fix temperature data are shown below. The idle temps are improved, while the full load temps look like a marginal improvement. However, CPU temperature is not the only story. Certainly after the fix, the whole case is generally cooler, so the heat extraction system is working better. Also, the CPU before and after temps are quite similar at full load, but that assumes the CPU is running at the same power. I do not know enough about the i7 architecture to say if the before speed was being limited by heat, while in the after case the turbo-boost was able to run out to the maximum. Unfortunately, I didn't do any CPU performance tests. So, based on temperatures alone, it looks like a marginal improvement, but it is certainly making a difference to case temperatures.
Note all temperatures were measured at an ambient temperature of 20C on a flat, hard surface using Marcel Bresink's Temperature Monitor. Fan speed was measured using the Fan Control software - set to allow firmware control at idle.
Apple original heat sink paste - big dollop of grey crud and lots of extrusion at the sides.
    Idle
    CPU 43C
    GPU 38C
    Heat Sink 2 36C
    Heat Sink 3 35C
    Fan Speeds 2000rpm
Full Load (all cores maxed with a Boinc Distributed Computing Project (Rosetta - the project, not the Apple technology).
    CPU 89C
    GPU 57C
    Heat Sink 2 52C
    Heat Sink 3 49C
    Fan Speeds 6200rpm
    Arctic Silver heat sink paste
    Idle
    CPU 38C
    GPU 34C
    Heat Sink 2 33C
    Heat Sink 3 32C
    Fan Speeds 2000rpm
    Full Load
    CPU 86C
    GPU 59C
    Heat Sink 2 50C
    Heat Sink 3 50C
    Fan Speeds 6200rpm
Back to my original question: How do I know if my MBP will benefit from reapplication of the heatsink compound? I think temperatures alone will not give a good answer - mainly because the CPU probably has variable output - due to turbo boost. One thing I did notice is that the temperature response of the CPU when it gets switched to full load, does vary according to the quality of the heatsink paste. With the original Apple paste, when I switched the CPU to full load (from idle) the temperature of the CPU went up to its maximum almost instantaneously and stayed at that level ie the graph of temperature vs time was a step function. This suggests that the CPU may be controlling the temperature by throttling itself. Otherwise, as the heatsink warmed up, the CPU should also rise in temperature - mine stayed bang on 90C and fluctuated only by a degree either side.  After application of heat sink paste, the CPU has a much larger effective thermal mass and consequently heats up much more slowly. Turning the CPU up to maximum from idle resulted in the temperature climbing to a maximum over about 3-4s. After peaking at around 92C it dropped back as the fans kicked in, to around 86C.
So perhaps one way of assessing the quality of your heatsink paste is to ramp the CPU to maximum from idle and look at the shape of the temperature profile. A step function suggests a lousy job and benefit may be had from reapplication. A more gently sloping profile, followed by a dip due to the fans kicking in, may suggest you are in good shape. Obviously, this presupposes that your Mac temperatures are not insanely hot to start with (i.e. high 90sC+). In which case, if defluffing doesn't do the job, then new heatsink paste is almost certainly required.
    Regards, BB

I'm sorry but this is too funny to pass up.

  • How to find quickly what's wrong with the performance of a BW Query?

    Hi All,
After a long time, I had to work on performance tuning of a query, Version BI 7.0 EHP 1, SP7.
Compression in done, BI Stats are running, showing that OLAP time is high almost 70%, compared to 20% DB Read time.
Aggregates cannot be created due to the nature of the cube, BIA is out of scope.
How to find quickly, step by step, what's wrong with a particular query.
    Thanks in advance,
    Best Regards,
    - Shashi

    Hi Sashi ,
    1. OLAP time is more, you need to  increase OLAP cache, you have different options for the query in RSRT t-code..
Select properties which makes to store the query result set in OLAP Cache for permanent.
    Doc for the same :

2.Use only less no of Characteristics in the initial report. Place remaining in Free characteristics.
3.You need to check the query .It cmod code exist for any variable or your query have lots of navigational attributes then try to check for code efficiency .
4.If Front End time more then try to avoid the more characteristics in displaying the query result.
5.Use authorization objects on queries if possible .That will reduce data amount .
6.Use query read mode and  global structures as when possible.
