How to get exact user input in inverse expert routine?

Hi
I have created an inverse expert routine on a virtual provider with DTP for transformation from an infocube. The virtual provider is part of a Multiprovider. I have a query which fetches data from the virtual cube.
I have the hierarchy enabled for the Iobj 0cust_sales in the query and the user inputs the values during execution of the query. Is there a way by which i can get the exact input given by the user in the selection screen in the inverse expert routine?
I also have some variables on nav attribs of some fields these restrictions are not avaible in the dimensions list. Is there a method by which i can get these variable entries as well in the inverse expert routine?

Hi,
you don't directly get the user input. But you should still be able to get what you want. Let's assume you have a dynamic action which fires for a "Change" (or any other) event and which has two or more actions
1) Confirm
2) Execute PL/SQL Code
If the user clicks Cancel/No in the confirm dialog, APEX will stop the execution of this dynamic action and not run "Execute PL/SQL Code".

How to get the user input while server is waiting for client's message

I have a server/client program (using sockets)
I used a thread to let a server always waiting for client's request, but how should I found that
there is no message pass to server from client.

The server is waiting for the inMessage that is passed from multiple clients. But if the server
received no message after some time, it will assume something is wrong (eg, there is a
deadlock), then it will ask the user to input the command to execute the method.
If I put
"System.out.println("Do you want to take Snapshot: ");
BufferedReader inFromUser = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in));
String command = inFromUser.readLine();"
inside the while loop, it will keep asking user to enter the input when every time the client
connect to the server. But I want to ask the user to enter the command only when the server
can't get the response from clients.
How should I do?

Your statement:
Socket server = serverP.accept();
it will block until Server receive connect request from client.
So, what u can do is, create a seperate Thread which check if server is idle (no client connect to it) for a certain time.

   each client request.

   new (WorkerThread(inMessage)).start();
   This way, your server thread will immediately serve
   the next client request ASAP.

}The idea is, your server notify WatcherThread if a client connect. WathcerThread runs at seperate thread. It waits for 10000 msecs and check if Server ever gets connect request from server. If it doesn't then you can do your System.in, otherwise, it will wait for 10000 again..

You can get the instance using the method get_instance of the class cl_sem_variable, and call the method get_value with the return. Check the example:
      CALL METHOD cl_sem_variable=>get_instance

        EXCEPTIONS

After this, read the first line of the table et_value (it should be the value that the user choose on the screen).

In That i have created my input screen with textboxes using response.write method.
i have added one onConfirm event on which the data whould validate.
so onConfirm method im trying to get the data with request.getParameter method which returns null...

inputfield or textbox component entered directly using response.write(...) are not htmlb , but html.
to create portal input field (ie HTMLB), you should do something like
this in the doProcessBeforeOutput member function
InputField field1 = new InputField("Id1");
field1.setSize(8); // 8 characters
this.getForm().addComponent(field1);
and in doProcessAfterInput member function
InputField field1 =
(InputField) this.getComponentByName("Id1");
you can then manipulate the content of the field.

Use trunc or to_char with masking like 'dd/mm/yyyy' format. If this does not solve your problem then do post your sample input and sample output. As I am unable to make out what is your actual problem.

I am facing one problem in Variables in BPS.
I am calculating days from Month/year .I have one variable it is for Days,Second variable it is for Month/Year.
First variable is user exist (for calculating the days),Second varible is user defined variable(this is a Input to the first variable).
When i am giving the Month/Year(02/2008)variable i am getting the 29 days from the first variable.again i am changing the value of Month/Yera(03/2008) i am not getting the desired value.
my doubt is my user exist not able to read current value of variable(month/year).how can i pass my value to user exist because this value is user input value based on this value i am calculating the days and dynamically displaying the layout.

"The project was not built since its classpath is incomplete. Cannot find the class file for javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest. Fix the classpath then try rebuilding this project."
The errors occurs because of "extends OneStepComponent"

Where can find javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest to include it in my classpath?

Just want to know if anyone knows how to get all users under a particular organization.
From the Search User form, I found they may kind of user such attribute conditions:
MemberObjectGroup
is in
XXXX(organization)
But unfortunately, the "is in" is not a valid AttributeConditionOperator, so besides using "recursive" self-written function, anyone knows any possible buit-in trick?

if its anything like my Sony, theres a button top left corner that upon each press i get an audible bleep and the AV inputs come up on screen, i then cycle down to whichever input i wish to select!
in case your remote is different, the button on my remote has a square with a slightly smaller square just overlapping the first square.

Display sessions will give only active users details which are currently connected to the ESSBASE .
if you need this list ? or you need the total list of security active users list ?
if you need the currently connected to the ESSBASE
if you check one server At a time or you can check the application level also
1)server level
display session all;
2)application level
display session on application 'application name ';
go for the run command ---> essmsh-----> login;----->enter user name ----> enter password----->enter host (like server name ) then you need to you above 1 &2 commands
